It’s official now. Barack Obama’s ratings are “historically polarized,” according to a new Gallup survey.
Jeffrey Jones of the Gallup organization writes, “The historically high gap between partisans’ job approval ratings of Barack Obama continued during Obama’s third year in office, with an average of 80 percent of Democrats and 12 percent of Republicans approving of the job he was doing… The 68-point gap between partisans’ approval ratings of Obama last year is nine points higher than that for any other president’s third year.” Obama, by the way, holds the record for the most polarized first and second years in office, too. Which means Obama has set a record for polarization every year he’s been in office.

Beyond the Constitution’s Tipping Point

We have reached a tipping point in this country The fraud in the White House threw all pretense of adherence to the Constitution to the wind and made several blatantly illegal “recess” appointments of extreme leftists to positions of power within the government. Clearly,this was a move to avoid letting the Senate exercise its advise-and-consent authority over appointments. The thing is,Congress was not in recess,so the move was illegal.
It would seem,however,that we conservatives are not the only ones who have noticed how spinelessly co-operative Congress has become in foisting totalitarian socialism on America in the past few years. The Marxist/neo-fascists who run the Democrat Party and write the speeches and policy for the Sock Puppet in the White House,appear to be keenly aware of the compliance of this worthless body. Confronted with the reality of a massive defeat at the polls in November – assuming,of course that an honest election could actually take place (entiende “fat chance,” amigos?) – they have pulled out all the stops and are imposing their agenda on the country,the Constitution and federal laws be damned. The Reichstag has been burned.
Strategically,from the point of view of the radical left,this makes total sense. If they can continue to get away with over-the-top lawlessness,as they have with their cover-up of the Fast and Furious debacle that resulted in the deaths of over 200 Mexican citizens,and two American federal agents;numerous obvious,but unprosecuted cases of Democrat voter fraud;the looting of the Treasury,disguised as “stimulus;” collusion with Big Unions and “green” corporations in return for huge bribes euphemistically called “campaign donations;” their refusal to close the border and their actual facilitation of the invasion of illegals by refusing to build the fence mandated by law,their refusal to enforce immigration laws,their refusal to deport apprehended illegals,and their withdrawal of National Guard personnel from the border,et cetera,et cetera,ad nauseam,then it is likely that they will get away with what amounts to a coup d’etat. And so far,they are succeeding.
I find this especially disheartening since it was only a couple of weeks ago that Obama- Soetoro’s hero and role model,Marxist dictator Hugo Chavez,publicly called him a clown and accused him of wrecking the country. Why is it that a ham-fisted communist dictator can speak the truth,but our self-proclaimed conservative “leaders” in Congress are as silent as the grave they appear to be digging for American freedom and liberty?
I can’t help but think that one of the events that encouraged the Marxist Democrats to go on the offensive – and folks,their actions have been offensive,in every sense of the word – is the fact that all but a small handful of members of both the House and the Senate voted for the Constitution-crushing National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA),including some whom I had previously considered genuine conservatives. Both attorneys, J. Mark Hatfield and Van R. Irion of Liberty Legal Foundation told WND they felt comfortable discussing the situation as the judge had imposed no ban on communicating what happened.
“The judge … was considering just entering a default judgment against Obama,” Hatfield said today. “The plaintiffs’ attorneys uniformly did not want the judge to do that because there wouldn’t be any evidence in the record at all.”
In Georgia, state law requires “every candidate for federal” office who is certified by the state executive committees of a political party or who files a notice of candidacy “shall meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought.”
State law also grants the secretary of state and any “elector who is eligible to vote for a candidate” in the state the authority to raise a challenge to a candidate’s qualifications, the judge determined.
That’s exactly what several groups of individuals did. Citizens bringing the complaints include David Farrar, Leah Lax, Thomas Malaren and Laurie Roth, represented by Taitz; David Weldon represented by attorney Van R. Irion of Liberty Legal Foundation; and Carl Swensson and Kevin Richard Powell, represented by J. Mark Hatfield. Cody Judy is raising a challenge because he also wants to be on the ballot.
Hatfield and Irion told WND the expected process is that Malihi will make a decision over the course of the next week whether Obama, without appearing or being represented at the hearing, documented his eligibility to the court’s satisfaction.
That recommendation then goes to Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, to whom Obama’s lawyer, Michael Jablonski, earlier had complained that Malihi was letting the attorneys “run amok” since the issue of Obama’s “citizenship” had been resolved.
But in fact the U.S. Constitution demands a different status for presidents, that of a “natural born citizen,” which Founders likely considered to be the offspring of two citizen parents. If that is the case, Obama could not be eligible as his father was a Kenyan national subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom.
At the time Jablonski complained to Kemp and told him he should simply cancel the hearing, Kemp warned Jablonski that he ultimately would be reviewing the hearing result, and to not participate would be at Obama’s “peril.”
Both lawyers, whose cases in fact are separate from each other as well as from the Taitz’ case, said it was important for them to be able to introduce evidence and build a court record.
Hatfield said the goal ultimately is to have a court rule on the substance of the controversy: Is it necessary to have citizen parents to be a “natural born citizen” or will that definition evolve as America ages?
Hatfield told WND that he specifically asked the judge at the end of the hearing to close the record, and he did that. Hatfield said that should make it clear that as the decision is made, and any challenges progress, no new information can be added to the evidence already submitted.
He said it’s very clear that the court had jurisdiction to take the case and accept evidence, since the ballot at issue is a ballot with which the state election in 2012 will be conducted.
And Hatfield noted that although Obama’s lawyer at least made a motion to quash the subpoena from Taitz for his testimony and records, Obama’s attorneys never even bothered to respond to his own motion to produce records.
Obama’s campaign declined to respond to WND emails and messages inquiring about a comment on the situation.
Irion told WND the default is a typical result when one side fails to appear for a dispute that’s being adjudicated in court, but in this case, that would have left it wide open for arguments on appeal that had nothing to do with the issue.
He said he explained to the judge that awarding a default judgment actually would have been rewarding Obama for failing to respond to the subpoena.
The attorneys said they would be watching for Obama’s next move in the contest. And they said they believe there is a possibility that because of the dispute, Obama may end up not being on the Georgia ballot in the fall.
Obama lost the state in the 2008 election to John McCain.
Earlier, several attorneys who previously took cases challenging Obama’s eligibility as high as the U.S. Supreme Court said Obama’s refusal to participate in the hearing was a travesty.
“That President Obama’s attorneys didn’t show respect for the court, the citizens, the secretary of state, and the statutes of Georgia reveals the true character of the administration as being completely and utterly against state’s rights,” said attorney Leo Donofrio. “The federal government is growing out of control with every administration and this action today is a loud announcement that this administration is going to do what it likes, and you can imagine that their response to this judiciary would be exactly the same if this had been the U.S. Supreme Court.”
He said if Georgia does decide to keep Obama off its state election ballots, he won’t appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, “because if he were to lose there, his entire administration would be void, including his appointments to the Supreme Court.”
“If Obama were to appeal in Georgia, only this election is in play, and only as to Georgia’s ballots, but if he loses in Georgia, appealing to the SCOTUS brings in his entire eligibility, and the legitimacy of his current administration,” Donofrio warned.
“My personal belief is that if the U.S. Supreme Court held that he was ineligible, he might simply ignore the ruling, and test the will of the nation, just as he is testing the will of the state of Georgia,” he said.
“If the judge’s recommendation – and I’ve been told that it’s going to be to disqualify Mr. Obama as a candidate – is followed by the secretary of state, Mr. Obama has got a real problem,” said Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation.
His organization pursued several of the lawsuits over Obama’s occupancy of the Oval Office to the U.S. Supreme Court, which has not accepted any eligibility cases.
“He’s thumbed his nose at the court. He’s thumbed his nose at the secretary of state in Georgia. He’s thumbed his nose at the people and said, ‘I’m above it all. I’m above the law,’” Kreep said.
Mario Apuzzo, who also shepherded a case to the Supreme Court, said Obama, by not showing, “actually failed to meet his burden of proof, to show that he is eligible and should be placed on the ballot.”
“For him to just ignore due process here is really telling a lot,” he said, noting, “This decision will have a ripple effect.”
“He’s not above the law. That’s a very important thing here. He’s a private person running for office, so he had no business not showing up. So the court can enter the judgment, and then the secretary of state does what he wants with it. And this will have a ripple effect for other secretaries of state, for other states, for the public. Also for any case that could be pending in the Supreme Court, where the issue of Mr. Obama’s eligibility is implicated,” he said.

I believe, he will issue his ruling by the end of the day on February 1 or on February 2 at the latest. I believe Brian Kemp, the Secretary of State of GA, will announce on February 2 or 3rd whether Barack Hussein Obama’s name will be allowed on the ballot in the state of GA as an eligible Presidential candidate.

CNN Tries To Whitewash Obama's Radical Past

As the president launches his re-election bid by striking a more centrist tone, the partisan press is helping him whitewash his radical past. Teamwork or not, it'll be hard to bleach. Exhibit A is CNN's Soledad O'Brien. Earlier this week, she hosted a segment that tried to de-link Obama from Chicago socialist Saul Alinsky. The late Alinsky is the father of community organizing and the author of the far-left bible "Rules for Radicals."
O'Brien opened her piece by scolding GOP front-runner Newt Gingrich for warning Obama "will represent Saul Alinsky (and) European socialism" in a second term. "President Obama has never said that he was influenced by Alinsky," O'Brien insisted.
Of course he hasn't. He's not stupid enough to publicly link himself to a socialist. But the record is clear that he was in fact influenced by Alinsky, if only CNN's "journalists" would do their homework. Allow us to do it for them:
• Obama first learned Alinsky's rules in the 1980s, when Alinskyite radicals with the Chicago-based Alinsky group Gamaliel Foundation recruited, hired, trained and paid him as a community organizer in South Side Chicago. (Gamaliel's website expressly states it grew out of the Alinsky movement.)
• In 1988, Obama even wrote a chapter for the book "After Alinsky: Community Organizing in Illinois," in which he lamented organizers' "lack of power" in implementing change.
• Gamaliel board member John McKnight, a hard-core student of Alinsky, penned a letter for Obama to help him get into Harvard Law School.
• Obama took a break from his Harvard studies to travel to Los Angeles for eight days of intense training at Alinsky's Industrial Areas Foundation, a station of the cross for acolytes.
• In turn, he trained other community organizers in Alinsky agitation tactics.
• Obama also taught Alinsky's "Power Analysis" methods at the University of Chicago.
• During the presidential campaign, Obama hired one of his Gamaliel mentors, Mike Kruglik, to train young campaign workers in Alinsky tactics at "Camp Obama," a school set up at Obama headquarters in Chicago. The tactics helped Obama capture the youth vote like no other president before him.
• Power would no longer be an issue, as Obama infiltrated the highest echelon of the political establishment — the White House — fulfilling Alinsky's vision of a new "vanguard" of coat-and-tie radicals who "work inside the system" to change the system.
• After the election, his other Gamaliel mentor, Jerry Kellman (who hired him and whose identity Obama disguised in his memoir), helped the Obama administration establish Organizing for America, which mobilizes young supporters to agitate for Obama's legislative agenda using "Rules for Radicals."
• Obama's favorite rule is No. 13: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it." You see that in his attacks on "fat cat bankers," "greedy health insurers" and "millionaires and billionaires." He also readily applies Alinsky's fifth rule of "ridiculing" the opposition.
"Obama learned his lesson well," said David Alinsky, son of the late socialist. "I am proud to see that my father's model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing."
Bizarrely, O'Brien was more than willing to connect Alinsky with the Tea Party, without citing a shred of real evidence to back up the silly claim. The CNN anchor closed her segment by saying she would pin Gingrich down on his supposedly misleading claims. "We will be sure to ask the former speaker the next time we get a chance to talk to him about that," she said.
Wouldn't it make more sense to just ask Obama? You know, "Mr. President, have you ever read Alinsky's 'Rules for Radicals'"? Or "Have your ever trained at organizations founded by Alinsky?"
Is she really this clueless? Or is she covering for Obama? Either way, it does not reflect well on a journalist of her stature and influence.
It's plain CNN plans to gloss over the president's radical past in this campaign, just like it did in 2008.

Obama Disrespects Court,State,America,Constitution by Skipping Eligibility Hearing

One of the attorneys who fought a court case over Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court says he fears that even if the U.S. Supreme Court declared Obama unqualified,he’d simply ignore the ruling and continue issuing orders.

But those who observed a court hearing today in Atlanta say it could be the beginning of the end for the Obama campaign,because of the doubt that could surge like a tidal wave across the nation.

The comments came today from Leo Donofrio, who led the pack in filing lawsuits over Obama’s 2008 election and his subsequent occupancy of the White House.
He was commenting on today’s hearing before a Georgia administrative law judge on complaints raised by several state residents that Obama is not eligible to run for the office in 2012. That hearing went on after Obama and his lawyer decided to snub the court system and refuse to participate.
A decision from the judge,Michael Malihi,is expected soon.
The Georgia residents delivered sworn testimony to a court that,among other things,Obama is forever disqualified from having his name on the 2012 presidential ballot in the state because his father never was a U.S. citizen. Because the Constitution’s requirement presidents be a “natural born citizen,” which is the offspring of two citizen parents,he is prevented from qualifying,they say.
The historic hearing was the first time that a court has accepted arguments on the merits of the controversy over Obama’s status. His critics say he never met the constitutional requirements to occupy the Oval Office,and the states and Congress failed in their obligations to make sure only a qualified president is inaugurated,while his supporters say he won the 2008 election and therefore was “vetted” by America.

OBAMA ELIGIBILITY COURT CASE…BLOW BY BLOW

Given the testimony from today’s court case in Georgia, Obama has a lot of explaining to do. His attorney, Jablonski, was a NO SHOW as of course, was Obama.
The following is a nutshell account of the proceedings.
Promptly at 9am EST, all attorneys involved in the Obama Georgia eligibility case were called to the Judge’s chambers. This was indeed a very interesting beginning to this long awaited and important case.
The case revolved around the Natural Born clause of the Constitution and whether or not Obama qualifies under it to serve. More to the point, if found ineligible, Obama’s name would not appear on the 2012 ballot in Georgia.
With the small courtroom crowded, several in attendance could be seen fanning themselves with pamphlets as they waited for the return of the attorneys and the appearance of the judge.
Obama himself, who had been subpoenaed to appear, of course was nowhere near Georgia. Instead, Obama was on a campaign swing appearing in Las Vegas and in Colorado ignoring the court in Georgia.
Over the last several weeks, Obama’s attorney, Michael Jablonski, had attempted several tactics to keep this case from moving forward. He first tried to have it dismissed, then argued that it was irrelevant to Obama. After that, Jablonski argued that a state could not, under the law, determine who would or would not be on a ballot and later, that Obama was simply too busy with the duties of office to appear.
After all these arguments were dispatched by the Georgia Court, Jablonski, in desperation, wrote to the Georgia Secretary of State attempting to place Obama above the law and declared that the case was not to he heard and neither he nor his client would participate.

Secretary of State, Brian Kemp, fired back a letter hours later telling Jablonski he was free to abandon the case and not participate but that he would do so at his and his clients peril.
Game on.

15 minutes with the attorneys in the judge’s chambers.
20 minutes.
It appears Jablonski is not in attendance as the attorneys return, all go to the plaintiff table 24 minutes after meeting in the judge’s chambers.
Has Obama’s attorney made good on his stated threat not to participate? Is he directly ignoring the court’s subpoena? Is he placing Obama above the law? It seems so. Were you or I subpoenaed to appear in court, would we or our attorney be allowed such action or, non action?
Certainly not.
Court is called to order.
Obama’s birth certificate is entered into evidence.
Obama’s father’s place of birth, Kenya East Africa is entered into evidence.
Pages 214 and 215 from Obama’s book, “Dreams from My Father” entered into evidence. Highlighted. This is where Obama indicates that, in 1966 or 1967 that his father’s history is mentioned. It states that his father’s passport had been revoked and he was unable to leave Kenya.
Immigration Services documents entered into evidence regarding Obama Sr.
June 27^th, 1962, is the date on those documents. Obama’s father’s status shown as a non citizen of the United States. Documents were gotten through the Freedom of Information Act.
Testimony regarding the definition of Natural Born Citizen is given citing Minor vs Happersett opinion from a Supreme Court written opinion from 1875. The attorney points out the difference between “citizen” and “Natural Born Citizen” using charts and copies of the Minor vs Happersett opinion.
It is also pointed out that the 14^th Amendment does not alter the definition or supersede the meaning of Natural Born. It is pointed out that lower court rulings do not conflict with the Supreme Court opinion nor do they over rule the Supreme Court Minor vs Happersett opinion.
The point is, to be a natural born citizen, one must have 2 parents who, at the time of the birth in question, be citizens of the United States. As Obama’s father was not a citizen, the argument is that Obama, constitutionally, is ineligible to serve as President.
Judge notes that as Obama nor his attorney is present, action will be taken accordingly.
Carl Swinson takes the stand.
Testimony is presented that the SOS has agreed to hear this case, laws applicable, and that the DNC of Georgia will be on the ballot and the challenge to it by Swinson.
2^nd witness, a Mr. Powell, takes the stand and presents testimony regarding documents of challenge to Obama’s appearance on the Georgia ballot and his candidacy.
Court records of Obama’s mother and father entered into evidence.
Official certificate of nomination of Obama entered into evidence.
RNC certificate of nomination entered into evidence.
DNC language does NOT include language stating Obama is Qualified while the RNC document DOES. This shows a direct difference trying to establish that the DNC MAY possibly have known that Obama was not qualified.
Jablonski letter to Kemp yesterday entered into evidence showing their desire that these proceedings not take place and that they would not participate.
Dreams From My Father entered.

Disc received from Immigration and Naturalization Service entered into evidence. This disc contains information regarding the status of Obama’s father received through the Freedom of Information Act.
This information states clearly that Obama’s father was NEVER a U.S. Citizen.
At this point, the judge takes a recess.
The judge returns.
David Farrar takes the stand.
Evidence showing Obama’s book of records listing his nationality as Indoneasan. Deemed not relevant by the judge.
Orly Taitz calls 2^nd witness. Mr. Strunk.
Enters into evidence a portion of letter received from attorney showing a renewal form from Obama’s mother for her passport listing Obama’s last name something other than Obama.
State Licensed PI takes the stand.
She was hired to look into Obama’s background and found a Social Security number for him from 1977. Professional opinion given that this number was fraudulent. The number used or attached to Obama in 1977, shows that the true owner of the number was born in the 1890. This shows that the number was originally assigned to someone else who was indeed born in 1890 and should never have been used by Obama.
Same SS number came up with addresses in IL, D.C. and MA.
Next witness takes the stand.
This witness is an expert in information technology and photo shop. He testifies that the birth certificate Obama provided to the public is layered, multiple layered. This, he testifies, indicates that different parts of the certificate have been lifted from more than one original document.
Linda Jordan takes the stand.
Document entered regarding SS number assigned to Obama. SS number is not verified under E Verify. It comes back as suspected fraudulent. This is the system by which the Government verifies ones citizenship.
Next witness.
Mr. Vogt.
Expert in document imaging and scanners for 18 years.
Mr. Vogt testifies that the birth certificate, posted online by Obama, is suspicious. States white lines around all the type face is caused by “unsharp mask” in Photoshop. Testifies that any document showing this, is considered to be a fraud.
States this is a product of layering.
Mr. Vogt testifies that a straight scan of an original document would not show such layering.
Also testifies that the date stamps shown on Obama documents should not be in exact same place on various documents as they are hand stamped. Obama’s documents are all even, straight and exactly the same indicating they were NOT hand stamped by layered into the document by computer.
Next witness, Mr. Sampson a former police officer and former immigration officer specializing in immigration fraud.
Ran Obama’s SS number through database and found that the number was issued to Obama in 1977 in the state of Connecticut . Obama never resided in that state. At the time of issue, Obama was living in Hawaii.
Serial number on birth certificate is out of sequence with others issued at that hospital. Also certification is different than others and different than twins born 24 hours ahead of Obama.
Mr. Sampson also states that portion of documents regarding Mr. Sotoroe, who adopted Obama have been redacted which is highly unusual with regards to immigration records.
Suggests all records from Social Security, Immigration, Hawaii birth records be made available to see if there are criminal charges to be filed or not. Without them, nothing can be ruled out.
Mr. Sampson indicates if Obama is shown not to be a citizen, he should be arrested and deported and until all records are released nobody can know for sure if he is or is not a U.S. Citizen.
Taitz shows records for Barry Sotoro aka Barack Obama, showing he resides in Hawaii and in Indonesia at the same time.

Testifies that records indicate Obama records have been altered and he is hiding his identity and citizenship.
Taitz leave the stand to make her closing arguments.
Taitz states that Obama should be found, because of the evidence presented, ineligible to serve as President.
And with that, the judge closes the hearing.
What can we take away from this?
It’s interesting.
Now, all of this has finally been entered OFFICIALLY into court records.
One huge question is now more than ever before, unanswered.
WHO THE HELL IS THIS GUY?
Without his attorney present, Obama’s identity, his Social Security number, his citizenship status, and his past are all OFFICIALLY in question.
One thing to which there seems no doubt. He does NOT qualify, under the definition of Natural Born Citizen” provided by SCOTUS opinions, to be eligible to serve as President.
What will the judge decide? That is yet to be known, but it seems nearly impossible to believe, without counter testimony or evidence, because Obama and his attorney chose not to participate, that Obama will be allowed on the Georgia ballot.
It also opens the door for such cases pending or to be brought in other states as well.
Obama is in it deep and the DNC has some…a LOT…of explaining to do unless they start looking for a new candidate for 2012.

The Judge pulled the lawyers for the three cases into chambers before it all began and advised them that he would be issuing a default judgment in our favor, since the Defense council failed to show, and wanted to end it there. We argued that all the evidence needed to be entered in to record so the Judge allowed for a speedy hearing where all evidence was entered into the court record. What that means is this… Any appeal, if one is even possible, would be based on the evidence provided by the lawyers in each case. Both Van Irion and My lawyer, Mark Hatfield made certain that our cases and evidence in those two cases would be closed so as not to be affiliated, in any way, with “Birther” Orly Taitz. As expected, she was an embarrassment.

Now we’re merely awaiting the publishing of this Judge’s ruling which, as previously stated, will be a Default Judgment.
In other words…we won. Now it’s time for the rest of the States to take my lead and duplicate this effort.

Judge Malihi talked to the attorneys in chambers before the hearing this morning and told them that he was going to enter a DEFAULT JUDGMENT against Obama and recommend that Obama's name not be on the Georgia ballot! All of the attorneys expressed a desire to put an abbreviated streamlined case on the record and the judge agreed.

How does the mainstream media spin this?

The Georgia SOS has already indicated that he will follow the judge's recommendation. That means that Obama will not get any popular vote or electors from the great state of Georgia!

Doug Vogt just called and said that the judge offered Orly a summary judgement and the hearing would not be necessary ... but of course she wanted to present it anyway to get this evidence before the public.

Taitz asked Vogt if he examined the birth certificate which was posted online, and he said, “Yes, I did.” He stated that “sloping lines” would not be seen if the image had been made from a paper document.

Taitz asked, “Would you expect to see a clear embossed seal on the document?” and Vogt answered, “Yes, I would.” However, he stated that such was not present on Obama’s birth certificate. Regarding the number of Obama’s purported birth record, Vogt stated that “federal regs” require that “all birth certificate numbers have to be sequential, starting on January 1.”

At 10:49, witness John Sampson took the stand. He stated that he has a background in criminal justice, served as a police officer in New York City and worked as an immigration inspector. His background includes working for the INS in the area of “immigration fraud” and he was also a deportation officer. He stated that he has testified in front of “federal grand juries.” He stated that he started his own consulting firm in 2009 and has been self-employed since then.

Taitz asked Sampson about Obama’s social security number, and Sampson said that he “ran” the number 042-68-4425 and that it was assigned to Obama since 1977.

Taitz asked if Sampson had examined the birth certificate, and he said, “Yes.” He raised the issue of the Nordyke twins’ birth certificate, whose numbers were lower than Obama’s even though their birth occurred a day later. He stated that the registrar’s name was different than that on the Nordyke twins’ documents and that it was unlikely that the registrar would have been different in the “same hospital” regarding births one day apart.

Sampson recommended further investigation, including subpoenas and court orders, to obtain more information on the number “042-68-4425.”

Sampson mentioned that Obama has also been known as “Barry Soetoro.”

Taitz asked what Sampson thought needed to be done regarding the questions about Obama’s background, and he recommended asking for an official copy of the SS-5 for his social security number application and the Hawaii Department of Health to see “if he was born in Hawaii.” Sampson stated that an investigation would be “a criminal investigation” through a U.S. attorney’s office. He said that if a person has been found to be impersonating a U.S. citizen, he would be subject to “deportation.”

Shortly thereafter, Sampson’s testimony ended, and Taitz began discussing Obama’s alleged years in Indonesia from 1968-71, during which he was known as “Barry Soetoro.”

“We have another boy who from 1968-69 was in Hawaii,” she said. The judge then said, “Are you testifying? Do you know how?” which brought laughter from the assembly. The judge then said she could discuss the matter during closing arguments. Taitz responded, “I would like to testify,” after which she took the stand.

Taitz stated that “Mr. Obama has resigned from the bar.” The judge asked, “How is that relevant?” Taitz said that it was pertinent because Obama was “hiding his identity.”

“First I ran the social security number to check the address, and the same number came up for him in Massachusetts, Illinois, and Washington, DC. It showed a phone number, and it was always the same number…It would show intermittently ‘August 4, 1961′ and ’1890.’” Daniels stated that she obtained information “directly from the Social Security Administration.”

At 10:30 Mr. Chito Papa took the stand. He stated that he works in the field of Information Technology including Adobe® software.

Taitz asked Papa if the “birth certificate” which “Obama posted online” had flattened layers. ”Did you see one layer or multiple layers? Taitz asked. ”I saw multiple layers,” he answered.

Taitz asked Papa about Obama’s social security number which appeared on his tax return posted on the internet, and Papa stated that the layers had not been flattened. Taitz then thanked Papa for his testimony.

At 10:36 a.m. another witness, Linda Jordan, was called to the stand. Taitz adjusted her Powerpoint presentation by means of a laptop computer and began by asking a question about “E-Verify,” the U.S. government’s system for flagging potential illegal immigrants from working. Jordan stated that she ran Obama’s number through the E-Verify system and said, “When I read it, it was 2011, and it could not verify it. It came back.”

At 10:39 a.m., Douglas Vogt took the stand. Vogt stated that he owns a typesetting company and has been “in the business for 18 years now.”

Taitz asked Vogt if he examined the birth certificate which was posted online, and he said, “Yes, I did.”

Judge Michael Malihi is presiding over the Obama ballot challenges being heard today in Atlanta, GA

(Jan. 26, 2012) — The court convened at approximately 9:30 a.m. Judge Michael Malihi began by asking those present to stand and reading the last paragraph of Atty. Michael Jablonski’s letter to Brian Kemp, Georgia Secretary of State, “into the record,” commenting that Jablonski was not present at the hearing.

The judge called plaintiff David Welden to stand and asked where he resided and if he were a registered voter in the state of Georgia. Then his attorney, Van Irion, stood and stated that there were three types of citizenship in the United States. He then provided argument on the definition of “natural born Citizen,” referring to Minor v. Happersett.

“The court should recognize that the term ‘citizen” is not ‘natural born Citizen,’ Irion said. “The Minor court’s definition of ‘natural born Citizen’ says ‘parents.’

“In closing, this case is about the Constitution,” Irion said. We’ve shown that Barack Obama’s father was never a citizen…and that means he is not constitutionally qualified…Finally, the defendant was ordered to be here, and I wish to state on the record that that shows not just a contempt for this court…”

Then Irion was interrupted and stopped speaking.

9:54 a.m.: Atty. J. Mark Hatfield stood and stating that he represents Kevin Richard Powell and Carl Swensson. Hatfield mentioned the White House schedule as he saw that it related to Obama’s lack of attendance at the hearing.

Carl Swensson was sworn in at 9:56 a.m. and stated his residence and county. Then Kevin Powell was asked the same. Both were asked if they were able to vote for President of the United States.

Swensson and Powell explained their challenges filed with the Secretary of State’s office to the judge.

Hatfield held up the Certification of Nomination which Nancy Pelosi signed in 2008 to place Obama’s name on the ballot. The judge asked if it was a “certified copy,” and Hatfield answered that it was. He then read from it, stating that it did not affirm that the candidates met constitutional requirements to serve, while the wording from the Republican National Committee for its candidates did contain that wording.

The judge asked if the documents were from a “United States government source,” and Hatfield answered “Yes, sir, they were.”

Hatfield cited Jablonski’s January 25 letter “indicating that they did not want the proceedings to go forward and did not want to participate.” Hatfield also entered into evidence Obama’s book, Dreams From My Father.

Ken Allen, a resident of Arizona, stood to present the documentation he had received from the State Department after submitting a FOIA request early in 2009, which The Post & Email reported on here. He stated that “Barack Obama Sr.” was “never a citizen.”

At 10:09 a.m. someone said, “Let’s take a short break,” and people stood up and began moving around and talking with one another.

At 10:17 a.m., the court was called back in to order.

Atty. Orly Taitz was called upon to speak. The Georgia registered voter whom she represents, David Farrar, stood and identified himself.

Taitz utilized a projector on the wall to the right of the judge as an aid in her presentation. She then stated that evidence existed that Obama possessed Indonesian citizenship, to which the judge was heard by this writer to say, “That’s not relevant.” Taitz then discussed the court’s decision in Minor v. Happersett and was interrupted by the judge, who said, “Counselor, can you save your argument for the closing?” She then stopped speaking.

Mr. Christopher Strunk of New York then went up to the front of the courtroom to testify, and Taitz began to ask him questions about the passport records of Stanley Ann Dunham, one of which contains the name “Soebarkah.” Strunk stated, “She wanted that expunged from her record, but we never got that.”

Susan Daniels, Private Investigator from Ohio, then took the stand, and spoke about her investigation which revealed that Obama had reportedly been using a social security number which she contended had not been assigned to him.

Taitz asked Daniels, “What was the social security number attached to your request?” and Daniels read off “042-68-4425.” Daniels said, “In all my years, I’ve never seen anything like this.” She stated that the person who had originally owned the number had been born in 1890.

Dear Secretary Kemp:

This is to advise you of serious problems that have developed in the conduct of the hearings pending before the Office of State Administrative Hearings. At issue in these hearings are challenges that allege that President Obama is not eligible to hold or run for re-election to his office, on the now wholly discredited theory that he does not meet the citizenship requirements. As you know, such allegations have been the subject of numerous judicial proceedings around the country, all of which have concluded that they were baseless and, in some instances – including in the State of Georgia - that those bringing the challenges have engaged in sanctionable abuse of our legal process.

Nonetheless, the Administrative Law Judge has exercised no control whatsoever over this proceeding, and it threatens to degenerate into a pure forum for political posturing to the detriment of the reputation of the State and your Office. Rather than bring this matter to a rapid conclusion, the ALJ has insisted on agreeing to a day of hearings, and on the full participation of the President in his capacity as a candidate. Only last week, he denied a Motion to Quash a subpoena he approved on the request of plaintiff’s counsel for the personal appearance of the President at the hearing, now scheduled for January 26.

For these reasons, and as discussed briefly below, you should bring an end to this baseless, costly and unproductive hearing by withdrawing the original hearing request as improvidently issued.

It is well established that there is no legitimate issue here—a conclusion validated time and again by courts around the country. The State of Hawaii produced official records documenting birth there; the President made documents available to the general public by placing them on his website. “Under the United States Constitution, a public record of a state is required to be given ‘full faith and credit’ by all other states in the country. Even if a state were to require its election officials for the first time ever to receive a ‘birth certificate’ as a requirement for a federal candidate’s ballot placement, a document certified by another state, such as a ‘short form’ birth certificate, or the certified long form, would be required to be accepted by all states under the ‘full faith and credit’ clause of the United States Constitution.” Maskell, “Qualifications for President and the “Natural Born” Citizenship Eligibility Requirement,” Congressional Research Service (November 14, 2011), p.41.

Nonetheless, the ALJ has decided, for whatever reason, to lend assistance through his office—and by extension, yours—to the political and legally groundless tactics of the plaintiffs. One of the attorneys for the plaintiffs has downloaded form subpoenas which she tried to serve around the country. Plaintiff’s attorney sent subpoenas seeking to force attendance by an office machine salesman in Seattle; seeking to force the United States Attorney to bring an unnamed “Custodian of Records Department of Homeland Security” to attend the hearing with immunization records; and asking the same U.S. Attorney to bring the same records allegedly possessed by “Custodian of Records of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.” She served subpoenas attempting to compel the production of documents and the attendance of Susan Daniels and John Daniels, both apparently out of state witnesses, regarding Social Security records. She is seeking to compel the Director of Health for the State of Hawaii to bring to Atlanta the “original typewritten 1961 birth certificate #10641 for Barack Obama, II, issued 08.08.1961 by Dr. David Sinclair…,” even though Hawaii courts had dismissed with prejudice the last attempt to force release of confidential records on November 9, 2011. Taitz v. Fuddy, CA No. 11-1-1731-08 RAN.

In Rhodes v. McDonald, 670 F. Supp. 2d 1363, 1365 (USDC MD GA, 2009), Judge Clay Land wrote this of plaintiff’s attorney:

When a lawyer files complaints and motions without a reasonable basis for believing that they are supported by existing law or a modification or extension of existing law, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer uses the courts as a platform for political agenda disconnected from any legitimate legal cause of action, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law….

As a national leader in the so-called ‘birther movement,’ Plaintiff’s counsel has attempted to use litigation to provide the ‘legal foundation’ for her political agenda. She seeks to use the Court’s power to compel discovery in her efforts force the President to produce a ‘birth certificate’ that is satisfactory to herself and her followers.” 670 F. Supp. 2d at 1366.

All issues were presented to your hearing officer—the clear-cut decision to be on the merits, and the flagrantly unethical and unprofessional conduct of counsel—and he has allowed the plaintiffs’ counsel to run amok. He has not even addressed these issues—choosing to ignore them. Perhaps he is aware that there is no credible response; perhaps he appreciates that the very demand made of his office—that it address constitutional issues—is by law not within its authority. See, for example, Flint River Mills v. Henry, 234 Ga. 385, 216 S.E.2d 895 (1975); Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. r. 616-1-2-.22(3).

The Secretary of State should withdraw the hearing request as being improvidently issued. A referring agency may withdraw the request at any time. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. r. 616-1-2-.17(1). Indeed, regardless of the collapse of proceedings before the ALJ, the original hearing request was defective as a matter of law. Terry v. Handel, 08cv158774S (Superior Court Fulton County, 2008), appeal dismissed, No. S09D0284 (Ga. Supreme Court), reconsideration denied, No. S09A1373. (“The Secretary of State of Georgia is not given any authority that is discretionary nor any that is mandatory to refuse to allow someone to be listed as a candidate for President by a political party because she believes that the candidate might not be qualified.”) Similarly, no law gives the Secretary of State authority to determine the qualifications of someone named by a political party to be on the Presidential Preference Primary ballot. Your duty is determined by the statutory requirement that the Executive Committee of a political party name presidential preference primary candidates. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-193. Consequently, the attempt to hold hearings on qualifications which you may not enforce is ultra vires.

We await your taking the requested action, and as we do so, we will, of course, suspend further participation in these proceedings, including the hearing scheduled for January 26.

“The PAC saw the need to do this last month, because of the often incomplete and biased coverage of this issue by MainStream news media and recently received permission from the court,” said Director Helen Tansey, who will personally manage on-site efforts.
The PAC describes this upcoming event as “The hearing of the century, for the (alleged) political crime of the century,” referring to the breathtaking implications of an illegal “President” in the White House or on the presidential ballot.
These proceedings could lead to the removal of the incumbent from the Georgia ballot, which would raise questions nationwide. This would be the first time that these issues and related evidence are deliberated in open court.
Numerous ballot challenges have been filed in dozens of states, contesting “Obama’s” questionable eligibility, based upon natural born citizenship requirements, in Article II of the U.S. Constitution and laws in multiple states.
Georgia will be one of the first states heard. This is due to the timing of challenge filings and its unique state administrative court set up to handle such matters, in a jurisdiction potentially receptive to such cases.
Three cases are being heard on one momentous day, in this order:

Judge Rules Obama Must Prove Presidential Eligibility In Georgia Courtroom

For those who have waited 3 years for a judge to finally rule that Barack Hussein Obama must prove that he is legally and Constitutionally qualified to run for or serve as President of the United States,the day may have come at last.
For on Friday,Georgia State Office of Administrative Hearings Judge Michael Malihi ruled that subpoenas demanding the presence of Barack Obama in his Georgia courtroom on January 26^th along with the original form of his Hawaii birth certificate and information on his myriad Social Security numbers will remain in force.
Obama ‘s attorney Michael Jablonski had filed a motion to quash those subpoenas,arguing if Obama were made to answer questions before the court it would “…[require] him to interrupt duties as President of the United States…” (1)

Here is a compilation of the statements, questions, and videos of the many high-profile personalities and leaders who have raised questions about Barack Obama’s eligibility to occupy the Oval Office.
WND has reported on multiple legal challenges to Obama over his status as a “natural born citizen.” The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”

Some of the lawsuits question whether Obama actually was born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama’s American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.
Other challenges have focused on Obama’s citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.
Further, others question his citizenship by virtue of his attendance in Indonesian schools during his childhood and question on what passport did he travel to Pakistan three decades ago.
In April, Obama released an image of a “Certificate of Live Birth” from the state of Hawaii, but since then, a multitude of experts in imaging, documents and computers have concluded it isn’t real.

Minuteman PAC
An influential Minuteman PAC is weighing in on the argument over Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president, with a call for concerned citizens across the country to flood their state secretaries of state offices with requests that Obama be removed from the 2012 ballot.
In a new statement released by the Minuteman Pac, officials there said, “Obama needs every vote he can get in 2012 – if we can get just one state to remove his name from its ballot, he does not stand a chance.
“To do this, though, we need tens of thousands of messages overwhelming the offices of every single secretary of state, since they are the ones who are ultimately responsible for determining who qualifies to be on the ballot – and, of course, who doesn’t,” the organization’s statement said.
“As our Founding Fathers intended, it is the states which protect us from all out tyranny. The federal election in 2012 and the constitutional eligibility of the candidates is no different. In the end, our states are responsible for ensuring the eligibility of candidates and our states will protect us from the tyranny of a presidential usurper.”
The organization noted the defense strategy that Obama’s lawyers outlined in a pending case in Georgia, where this week there are to be three hearings on different challenges to Obama’s name on the 2012 ballot in Georgia.
The law in that state allows residents to raise a challenge, and several groups already have.
Obama’s lawyer told the judge the president should be excused from a subpoena for his testimony and birth evidence, but the judge refused.
It was Obama’s lawyer who argued because Obama was chosen by the presidential electors and confirmed by Congress, the testimony he’s being told to provide is “irrelevant.”
“You read that right, folks,” the Minuteman PAC said. “Obama’s dream-team of lawyers are arguing that, because of the electoral system, Barack Hussein Obama is not accountable to the American people.”
Specifically, Obama’s lawyers wrote, “Presidential electors and Congress, not the state of Georgia, hold the constitutional responsibility for determining the qualifications of presidential candidates. … The election of President Obama by the presidential electors, confirmed by Congress, makes the documents and testimony sought by plaintiff irrelevant.”
The PAC was set up to serve as the political arm of the Minuteman Movement, the initiative that seeks to secure America’s territory against incursion, invasion and terrorism.
Matt Romney
Matt Romney, whose father, Mitt, is vying for commitments from Iowa GOP caucus voters this weekend, said his dad would release his financial records when “President Obama releases his grades and birth certificate,” confirming a short time later it was a joke.
But Barack Obama, in Hawaii now on a vacation estimated to set the taxpayers back some $4 million, saw it as an opportunity to cash in, and his 2012 campaign machine immediately posted online: “The Birth Certificate Thing Again?”
“Matt Romney says his dad Mitt will release his tax returns “as soon as” President Obama releases his birth certificate the campaign fundraising pitch by “Grant,” said today. “This is how the Romney campaign thinks it’s going to win the Republican primary: by pandering to the dead-ender fringe of extremists who still question where the president was born.”
The Obama campaign continued, “We can’t rewrite the other side’s talking points for them, but we can drive up the cost of this kind of politics. So we’re re-releasing our coffee mugs with the president’s birth certificate smack-dab on the side. Get yours today and remind the GOP what we all know is true – our president is made in the USA.”
According to a Talking Points Memo report, Matt Romney was talking with a reporter Thursday on the topic of documnts and candidates’ information.
“He’s certainly not afraid of anything, he’s not hiding anything,” he said of his father in a video recorded by a Patch reporter in New Hampshire, recorded TPM.
“But I heard someone suggest the other day that as soon as President Obama releases his grades and birth certificate and sort of a long list of things, that maybe he’d do that.”
Matt immediately noted “that’s a suggestion from someone else.”
Later yet, TPM said, Matt Romney tweeted “I repeated a dumb joke. My bad.”
The ‘PolitiChicks’:
Four politically active women including former Saturday Night Live star Victoria Jackson, pro-life speaker and activist Jannique Stewart, editor and activist Jennie Jones and columnist Ann-Marie Murrell say the Obama birth certificate likely is a fake and they are alarmed that Americans are more disturbed by that possibility.
Members of PolitiChicks have joined celebrities and leaders including Donald Trump, Michael Savage and Pat Boone who have expressed concern about the possibility that Obama isn’t qualified under the Constitution’s requirements for a president – and wonder what could happen to the U.S. should that be recognized generally.
Their short program on the issue has been posted on YouTube, and gives then an open door to express their concerns.
Jackson, the SNL veteran, put her worries to a tune, “Yes, I’m a birther, and I’m really, really proud. Yes. I’m a birther, why aren’t I allowed – to ask intelligent questions and find out what is true? Yes, I’m a birther. Don’t you want to be one too?”
Stewart wondered openly why the issue is important, and the others explained that without a legitimacy to the presidency, there would be a question about whether any of his actions as “president” would be valid.
Or would it be treason, they wondered.
Jackson, a popular speaker for tea party rallies all across the country, said the bottom line is that there is an appearance of lying and false identities on the part of Obama.
“He’s not an American. I don’t care about a piece of paper. He’s not an American because he doesn’t’ have American values,” she said.

Mega-millionaire Donald Trump makes a return trip to the list of doubters.
He was asked by CNN’s Piers Morgan this week whether he accepts what Obama has released as valid.
He was referring to the image of a Hawaiian “Certificate of Live Birth” that was released by the White House in April, a document that imaging experts have stated on the record they doubt is real.
Trump, who in April claimed credit for creating the circumstances that prompted Obama to release the “Certificate” image, was blunt.
“No, I don’t necessarily accept it,” he said.
“Do you believe he was probably born in America?” Morgan pressed.
“He might have been,” Trump said.
“What does your gut tell you, because you are a smart guy,” Morgan continued.
“My gut tells me couple things. No. 1, you know, it took a long time to produce this certificate, and when it came out, as you know, check out the Internet, many people say it is not real, you know, that it’s a forgery,” Trump said. “They go over it, and lots of different things and lots of different reasons.”
He continued, “The other thing is, nobody has been able to see, you know, the day of his birth, they had twins born, they had another one born. Nobody has been able to find any records that he was born in that hospital.”
Just days earlier, Trump had been hit by Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren on the same issue:
“I don’t know just how it miraculous appeared … all of a sudden after years and years it was produced out of nowhere,” he said. “If in fact it’s not 100 percent, he’s not supposed to be president of the country.”
He pointed out it was Van Susteren’s first question to him.
“People have real questions about the validity,” he said.
Michael Savage

Talk radio icon Michael Savage has labeled Barack Obama a “lifetime naked Marxist” and says he is troubled by the president’s refusal “to show a valid birth certificate.”
The comments came this week as Savage was blasting the advance toward socialist that is being pursued by the Obama administration in Washington.
Obama is “a man who refuses to show a valid birth certificate. A man who applies for college aid as a foreign student and then denies he’s foreign. A man who has a Social Security Number from a state he’s never even lived in,” Savage said, citing three of the major disputes over Obama’s eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, command U.S. troops and set foreign policy.
His comments, with the references to Obama’s deceptions regarding his eligibility, come at about the 8-minute mark:
Savage was citing evidences of Obama’s socialist agenda:
“A man who orchestrates the sale of murder weapons to Mexican drug cartels. A man who can be held in contempt of court, in fact, was for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. A man who requires Americans to purchase a product from a third party (Obamacare), which is unconstitutional. A man who spent a trillion dollars on shovel-ready jobs and then admitted there was no such thing,” he said.
Savage said Obama also “bypassed” Congress to implement the failed illegal alien amnesty by “executive fiat.”
Obama is “a man who demanded an oil company hand over $20 billion to a political appointee, terminated America’s ability to put a man in to space, and encouraged racial discrimination and intimidation at polling places and refused to let the Justice Department investigate the New Black Panther Party.”
Pat Boone
Longtime song and movie star and WND columnist Pat Boone is unconvinced by President Obama’s release in April of an image of a Hawaii “Certificate of Life Birth” in support of his claim to be eligible under the U.S. Constitution to be president.
“I was in Kenya about a year and a half ago, and everyone there says, you know, your president was born here,” he told an interview for the San Francisco Chronicle.
He described the image released on April 27 by the White House – an image that a multitude of experts in documents, computers and imaging have described as a fake – as a “photo-shopped fraud.”
The publication confronted Boone at a GOP event in California recently.
He said he had heard the tape recording of Obama’s grandmother claiming to have been present in Mombasa when Obama was born.
“Some say she didn’t understand the question. One thing for sure,” Boone said, “She understood to say I was there. Where it was, it wasn’t Hawaii.”
Franklin Graham
In an interview with HotAirPundit, Franklin Graham, heir apparent to the ministry legacy of his father, Rev. Billy Graham, said Barack Obama readily could resolve the questions over his birth certificate:
“I think he’s a very nice man … but I think our country is in big trouble,” Graham said.
Asked specifically about Donald Trump’s repeated questions about Obama’s birth certificate and eligibility, Graham said, “The president I know has some issues to deal with here. He can solve this whole birth certificate issue pretty quickly.
“I was born in a hospital in Ashville, N.C., and I know that my records are there … I don’t know why he can’t produce that.
“It’s an issue that looks like he could answer pretty quickly,” he said.
Pat Buchanan
Two-time GOP presidential candidate and longtime political analyst Pat Buchanan says Barack Obama should just show his birth certificate to put an end to questions over his eligibility to occupy the Oval Office.
His comments came in an interview on MSNBC, where he serves as a political analyst:
Buchanan said he agrees with Mitt Romney in that he believes Obama was born in Hawaii, and the newspapers probably were accurate in reporting his birth there in 1961.
However, he said, “I do agree with Donald Trump when he said, ‘Why is Barack Obama toying with the American people? Why doesn’t he just produce this and end this controversy.’”
Said Buchanan, a founder and editor of The American Conservative and columnist for WND, “I think it shows a real arrogance of power.”
He also challenged the White House press corps to simply demand the answers, to which Bill Press, another WND columnist, responded that Obama’s eligibility “is a total non-issue.”
Press also claimed that “in 2007 the president produced his birth certificate. They put it online. … End of story.”
However, what was posted online by the Obama campaign was a computer-generated image of a “Certification of Live Birth,” a short-form document any Hawaii resident could have obtained at the time simply by declaring the birth had taken place in the state.
Melania Trump
Melania Trump told CNN’s Joy Behar that the dispute could be resolved easily if Obama would just “show it.”
“I have a birth certificate from Slovenia,” she said. “Do you want to see President Obama’s birth certificate or not?”
Behar responded. “I’ve seen it. I’ve seen it,” referring to the online image posted by the Obama campaign.
“It’s not a birth certificate,” Melania Trump pointed out.
“It’s a ‘certificate of live birth,’” Behar said.
Actually, at the time, it was a “Certification of Live Birth” that does not, in fact, prove a Hawaiian birth place.
The Drudge Report
“Where’s the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible to Be President,” by two-time No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi, was headlined on the Drudge Report, which declared, “The street date is a LONG month away, and author Jerome Corsi, the man who torpedoed John Kerry’s presidential dreams with SWIFT BOAT, has gone underground and is holding his new findings thisclose.”
“‘It’s utterly devastating,’ reveals a source close to the publisher. ‘Obama may learn things he didn’t even know about himself!’” Drudge said.
Drudge wondered whether the president’s attorneys will “attempt to interfere with the book’s distribution?” and whether the book will “finally – once and for all – put an end to the growing controversy?”

The image of the book also was seen on Rush Limbaugh’s personal computer today as he broadcast his top-rated radio program from his Florida studio.

Jerome Corsi’s “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” book can be partially seen featured on the Drudge Report on Rush Limbaugh’s computer as he broadcast his radio show from South Florida Wednesday, April 20, 2011.

“The book results from three years of continuing research,” Corsi said. “I traveled to Kenya and to Hawaii – I have hired private investigators and had the help of inside sources in Kenya, Indonesia and Hawaii. The book will contain startling new information, and the release of the book will be orchestrated through WND with documents the public has never seen before.”
Interest in the controversy has accelerated in recent months. There was Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s famous pledge to find Barack Obama’s birth certificate and make it public to shut up the so-called “birthers.”
The governor’s quest raised national interest in the issue – especially when he failed to produce the promised documentation. Members of Congress have raised similar questions about Obama’s eligibility, and state lawmakers are considering plans to require documentation from presidential candidates.
Then came Donald Trump out of the blue, asking questions WND’s newsroom team has been asking for the last two and a half years, raising the national debate to furious new heights.
At Alexa, the Internet information company, “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” was rated before its release as the hottest product.
“Products that people are coveting right now … 1. Where’s the Birth Certificate?” the site said.

The site also listed at No. 2 among “Hot Pages,” the Drudge reference to “Book to Reveal Obama’s True Identity?”
The book was listed at the No. 2 position among all books at Amazon.com at the time, leading the nonfiction and professional and technical categories completely.

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly brought attention to the issue after some comments he made about the arguments apparently were scrubbed from an audio of his program, a file posted online.
O’Reilly had erroneously claimed President Obama’s
Connecticut-issued Social Security number was likely the result of his father having “lived in Connecticut for several years.” In his viewer email segment last week, O’Reilly was asked by viewer John Knox of Arlington, Va.: “What about Obama having a Connecticut Social Security number? He never lived there.”
“His father lived in Connecticut for several years,” O’Reilly answered, adding that “babies sometimes get numbers based on addresses provided by their parents.”
Another letter from Fox viewer Ken McFadden of LaGrange, Ga., asked: “O’Reilly, will you stake your professional reputation that Mr. Obama is constitutionally eligible to be president?”
“I will, Ken,” answered O’Reilly.

A screenshot from BillOReilly.com shows no mention of the viewer’s letter asking O’Reilly why Obama is using a Connecticut-based Social Security number when he never lived there.

But those questions and answers did not appear on a Fox News website podcast of the episode purchased, downloaded and audited by WND. In addition, a printed version of the question-and-answer exchange, above, on BillOReilly.com, a separate site, also left out the key question about Connecticut.
The Fox audio podcast had O’Reilly doing the “Factor Mail” segment, starting with a question from Marion Rauch, Ocala., Fla.: “O’Reilly, well I am so glad you cleared up the myths surrounding President Obama. Come on, Bill, give us the facts, not opinion.”
He responded, “Gave you the facts, Marion. Stand by all of ‘em. If you have evidence to the contrary, please pass it along. You got the facts.”
Following a “bump” in the audio, he then moves immediately into “Pinheads and Patriots.”

Billionaire Donald Trump called for the president to just show the birth certificate, because without proof, Obama’s presidency actually could be “illegal.”
Trump told Bill O’Reilly that when he started suggesting that Obama should be answering some questions and providing some information, he thought that “probably” Obama was eligible to be president. He said his opinion changed to that being only “possible.”
He told Laura Ingraham that the circumstances of Obama’s eligibility story – his birth location and timeline – just don’t add up.
“There’s something fishy about the whole thing,” he said.
He noted that even Obama’s own family members have been unable to agree at which hospital he was born.
“If you are going to be the president of the United States you have to be born in the United States – and there is doubt [about Obama],” he said. “If he wasn’t born in this country, it’s one of the great scams.”

Comments from Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., indicate her concern is less about Obama’s eligibility than removing any question from her own candidacy should she pursue the GOP nomination for 2012.
“I’ll tell you one thing, if I was ever to run for president of the United States, I think the first thing I would do in the first debate is offer my birth certificate so we can get that off the table,” she told radio personality Jeff Katz on Boston’s Talk 1200 Radio Station.
Bachman’s comment came up as Katz was interviewing her about several significant issues developing in Washington, including Rep. Peter King’s hearings on radical Islam in the U.S. and the trillion-dollar expenditures the country will face because of Obama’s health-care reform law.
Bachmann said at the time of the interview she hadn’t made a decision on a 2012 bid for the White House. She later joined the race.
She said the hearings scheduled by King address the obvious “common thread” in terror cases targeting the U.S. and its residents recently.
“We know there’s a common thread. Why not look into it?” she said.
Denver Post publisher Dean Singleton

Dean Singleton, publisher of the Denver Post, has confirmed that the questions about Obama’s eligibility are “valid.”
However, he told radio talk show host Peter Boyles on his KHOW AM 630 program that it’s not something he wants to argue about.
Singleton’s comments were posted on YouTube by an organization monitoring the criticism of Obama:
“Asking the question is certainly fine to do,” Singleton said during the discussion with Boyles about Obama’s records and eligibility. “To me it’s not the big issue. I know to you it is.”
He continued, “The American people elected Barack Obama president. He’s got two more years to go on his term. Probably four more after that. He was elected by the people, says he’s a citizen, produced a certificate of live birth (sic). There’s no proof he’s not a citizen.”
Singleton said he can criticize Obama’s policies and actions “all day long,” but the eligibility controversy is “just not something I want to argue about.”
“There are questions,” he admitted. “Why hasn’t the president released his college transcripts. … Those are valid questions, and probably should be asked until he does [answer].
“There’s nothing wrong with asking the question over and over.”
Notre Dame Law School professor emeritus Charles E. Rice

A professor emeritus at the Law School of Notre Dame says he doesn’t know whether Barack Obama “achieved election by misrepresenting, innocently or by fraud, his eligibility for that office.”
But Charles E. Rice, who has authored “What Happened to Notre Dame?” said the U.S .House of Representatives should be the leaders stepping forward to resolve the question.
“The House of Representatives is an appropriate body to inquire into the facts and legal implications of a president’s disputed eligibility for office,” he wrote on a blog, called The Steady Drip,” today.
“The House itself has a contingent but potentially decisive role in the election of a president,” he wrote.
“The lawsuits have presented a bewildering array of claims,” wrote Rice. “There is no reason to analyze those lawsuits here in detail.”
But he added, “It is fair to say that the Obama controversy involves significant issues of fact and law that deserve some sort of official resolution.”
“I suggest no conclusion as to whether Obama is eligible or not. But the citizens whom the media and political pundits dismiss as ‘birthers’ have raised legitimate questions,” he said.
“This is potentially serious business. If it turns out that Obama knew he was ineligible when he campaigned and when he took the oath as president, it could be the biggest political fraud in the history of the world,” he said.
“As long as Obama refuses to disclose the records, speculation will grow and grow … the first step toward resolving the issue is full discovery and disclosure of the facts,” he said.

Rush Limbaugh recently opened his top-rated program asking why Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie appears to have no support from the White House in his publicized quest to resolve the growing doubt about Barack Obama’s eligibility for the Oval Office.
“Where’s Obama? Where’s the White House? Is this guy flying alone? Neil Abercrombie on his own on this? So much of this is difficult to fathom, to believe,” the king of talk radio said.
Limbaugh noted WND’s story that has led to established media such as the Daily Mail of London declaring in a headline: “Hawaii governor claims record of Obama’s birth ‘exists in archives’ but cannot produce the vital document.”
“The story originated at WorldNetDaily in this country earlier, and of course if it originates anywhere outside the mainstream press, the mainstream press will not acknowledge it,” Limbaugh told his listeners.
Abercrombie said in a Honolulu Star-Advertiser interview that he wanted to resolve the issue because he feared it would jeopardize Obama’s re-election in 2012.
“But he’s done the exact opposite now,” Limbaugh said. “How many of us could get away with saying, ‘Yeah there’s a little notation somewhere there in the archives, but we can’t find the birth certificate.’”
ABC News also ran a story on its website leading with, “Officials in Hawaii say they have located President Obama’s birth certificate indicating that he was born in the state, but have yet to produce the document at the heart of a long-simmering conspiracy theory.”

Puzzling over Abercrombie’s investigation, Limbaugh began by pointing out the governor’s knowledge of the “ins and outs of electoral politics” as a veteran of 20 years in the U.S. House of Representatives.
But Abercrombie made a mistake, Limbaugh said, in announcing his investigation in December before he was sure that he could produce the proof.
Abercrombie told the Honolulu paper that resolving the issue is “a matter of principle with me.” There are reports he later simply dropped his effort.
Sean Hannity
Radio show host Sean Hannity says today the biggest names demanding verification of Obama’s birth time and place are those on the left:
“If people want to ask the question, the birth certificate, I don’t have a problem with them asking the question. Turn over the birth certificate,” he said.
“The biggest birther is Chris Mathews,” he continued, citing that personality’s suggestions that Obama simply open up the documents necessary to provide the proof.
“He’s got liberals angry with him now,” he said.
MSNBC’S Chris Matthews
Chris Matthews, the anchor of MSNBC’s “Hardball” program, called for Barack Obama to release his original, long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to put to rest any doubts about the president’s constitutional eligibility to hold office.
“I am not a birther. I am an enemy of the birthers,” he said.
But he wondered, “Why doesn’t the president just say, ‘Send me a copy right now?’ Why doesn’t Gibbs and Axelrod say, ‘Let’s just get this crappy story dead?’ Why not do it? … If it exists, why not put it out?”
Matthews was joined by Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune and David Corn of Mother Jones, who both agreed with the call for Obama to publicly release the document, which to this point has remained under wraps.
Orioles slugger Luke Scott
“He was not born here,” Orioles slugger Luke Scott told David Brown of Yahoo sports in an interview posted online.
“That’s my belief. I was born here. If someone accuses me of not being born here, I can go – within 10 minutes – to my filing cabinet and I can pick up my real birth certificate and I can go, ‘See? Look! Here it is. Here it is.’ The man has dodged everything. He dodges questions, he doesn’t answer anything. And why? Because he’s hiding something.”
Scott continued, “You know what? People who have bad intentions, people that are deceivers or are not of honor and integrity – that’s how they act. I’ve seen it in every – it doesn’t matter what level. It can be in politics, it can be in business, it can be in sports, it can be in the construction field. Doesn’t matter. It’s all the same attitude. It’s the same thing.”
He said, “People who tell the truth, they’re very easy to … their actions prove it. Something as simple [as] providing a birth certificate. Come on. If you’re born here, there’s plenty of documents. But you know what? There’s no documentation of him. No legal documentation of him. There’s been lie after lie after lie exposed, but people put it under the carpet. Hence, the problem we have in this country.”
Wrote Brown, “Scott’s opinion about the president’s birthplace – while certainly not unique – was a stunning climax to a friendly and frank 20-minute Answer Man session that spanned his enthusiasm for baseball, hunting, firearms, personal responsibilities and smaller government. … Scott used to come to the ballpark packing heat. Now sporting an offseason beard but no noticeable firearm, Scott came out guns blazing, figuratively …”
Scott did not hesitate when interviewed by Brown.
“There needs to be accountability for the truth. I don’t care if you’re the president of the United States, you need to be held accountable. If you’re involved in treacherous acts, or you’re saying things that are against, or are selling out our country, you should be brought to trial,” he said.
“I mean, no one’s above the law. There’s a lot of people that fought for their country and that’s not something to be taken lightly. They gave their life, everything they had, they gave their lives, to give us what we have. That’s why I’m so passionate about my beliefs – because someone died. They gave their life, their blood was spilled, so I had an opportunity to chase a dream and play baseball for a living.”
Talk radio host Laura Ingraham
One of talk radio’s first ladies, Laura Ingraham, believes Barack Obama was born in the United States and is a legitimate president, but she suggests it wouldn’t hurt him to release his original long-form birth certificate.
That would be among the documents, she said, that should be available to the American public about their president, arguably the most powerful man in the world.
She specifically cited Obama’s college records as among the documents still concealed by him and wondered about his time at Occidental College.
“In the interest of full disclosure, sir, could we please have those records?” she asked.
A minute later, she added, “And of course, you know, all of you are thinking ‘Laura when are you going to say long-form birth certificate.’ Well, long-form …”
Her remarks are on YouTube, with the birth certificate reference about 5:20 into the recording:
The focal point of Ingraham’s commentary was Obama’s lack of transparency, an issue he boasted would be a hallmark of his administration.
A spokesman for Ingraham’s show said the commentary was describing the hypocrisy of the Obama administration, which has boasted of transparency while concealing a lot of information.
Michigan congressional candidate Tim Walberg

A candidate for Congress in Michigan is suggesting the easiest way to resolve questions over Barack Obama’s eligibility to be commander-in-chief would be a simple, just-a-few-close-friends, birth certificate party.
The idea from Tim Walberg is being reported by Tommy Christopher, a columnist at the website Mediaite, which has posted a video of Walberg’s comments online.
According to the video, Walberg, asked about Obama’s eligibility, responds:

I’m going to take him at his word that he’s an American citizen. I don’t know why it’s not resolved, other than the fact that the president hasn’t resolved it yet. …
If I had to do it, I’d just simply, of course I had to show my birth certificate in order to be on the ballot. If I were going to do it, I’d call Rush Limbaugh, Alan Colmes, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, and maybe one justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Call them into a room and lay out my birth certificate on the table. … and say, now all of you take a look at it. Tell me what you find. Now go and report it.”

Walberg noted the president “has an awful lot of power to keep from showing certain things unless the courts will stand up to him. Or unless Congress in majority will stand up, up to and including impeachment. And Republicans don’t have that majority.”
The Mediaite said, “Now, Alan Colmes is a great guy, a great liberal, but I’m sure even he would admit that he and Rush Limbaugh might not possess the gravitas to serve on a panel with a Supreme Court justice. Luckily for them, in Walberg’s plan, SCOTUS participation is optional.”
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told a Spanish-language television Obama has an “obligation” to figure out why so many Americans doubt his life story.
“If I were the president, that would really concern me, not because of Fox News or talk radio or Rush Limbaugh, but what is there that he’s doing that would let that many people be confused?” Gingrich said on Univision’s “Al Punto,” according to a report from The Hill.
The former speaker insisted that Obama was “absolutely” born in the United States and is a Christian, but Gingrich also insisted the president needs to consider what he’s doing that may lead people to suspect him Muslim.
“I think some of this stuff is just a sign of how much fear and anxiety has built up,” Gingrich said, “but I think the president has an obligation to slow down and say, if you’re president of all the people, what is it the White House is doing that so frightens a third of the Republican Party that they don’t even believe something as simple and as obvious as his self-professed religious belief.”
New Mexico congressional candidate Steve Pearce
Steve Pearce, a candidate for Congress in New Mexico, says he wouldn’t mind being “in the fight” over the issue of Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president.
The candidate made the comment in response to a question from a constituent at a public campaign stop, and it is being publicized by Heath Haussamen at the NMPolitics website.
Haussamen used the opportunity to warn that Obama is eligible, is president and a candidate that suggests there still could be unanswered questions would “empower those on the extreme, fringe right who may be willing to resort to violence.”
Haussamen said the comments came at a Sept. 30 meeting in Los Lunas.
A video that was posted on the Huffington Post website reveals a woman asking Pearce for his position on whether Obama is eligible, since an ineligible president would create all sorts of questions about the legitimacy of his actions in office.
Pearce said Obama raised the “most significant questions himself” by talking about his travels to Pakistan as a youth, at a time when travel there by U.S. residents was not easy.
He then tries to focus the discussion on the nation’s economy, noting that a member of Congress can only fight so many battles in a year, and he believes the economy is paramount.
But he also confirmed, according to the video, that should the issue arise formally, “I don’t mind being in the fight. … I don’t have a problem expressing my opinion or expressing a vote.”
Arizona state House candidate Cecil Ash
During a meeting for state House candidates with editors and others at the Arizona Republic, House District 18 Democrat candidate Michael Conway blasted GOP incumbent Cecil Ash for signing onto a plan that would require future presidential candidates to verify their eligibility.
The newspaper reported Conway questioned why Ash would support such a plan, and Ash responded that states don’t verify the eligibility of presidential candidates, and he thinks it should happen in the future.
He explained to the newspaper that it hasn’t been an issue before, because people know the parentage and heritage of Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and others.
“That’s not the case with President Obama,” he said.
He cited a New York Times poll revealing that 1 in 5 Americans believe Obama foreign-born and another nearly 1 in 4 have doubts.
Conway then pointed to the “Certification of Live Birth” that the Obama campaign posted online during his 2008 race, the newspaper said.
“And you don’t think you as a leader had the opportunity to let people know the truth? The electronic copy of the birth certificate had been released. It had been on the Internet. It had been on multiple news networks,” Conway claimed.
But Ash pointed out that the online document is not the same as a “birth certificate,” and the document posted by Obama could have been obtained under Hawaii law without proof of a birth in the state.
“That is the only copy there is, sir,” Conway said, according to the newspaper. “You know this.”
Then he accused Ash of being racist.
“The fact of the matter is, if he was white you wouldn’t have put the issue forward,” the newspaper reported he charged.
Ash said race has nothing to do with GOP opposition to Obama.
Michigan congressional candidate Andrew Raczkowksi

Just one day after a poll by CNN included the startling revelation that 6 of 10 Americans doubt President Obama’s birth story, Andrew “Rocky” Raczkowski, who won a Michigan GOP primary for Congress over establishment candidate Paul Welday, said he had concerns, too.
According to a report in Politico, he is on tape telling a meeting of supporters in Novi, Mich., “You have a president that seems to be, um … well … I don’t know if he even has been born in the United States, but … until I see a birth certificate.”
Raczkowski doesn’t care that his words are on tape, reportedly being circulated by Democrats in an attempt to damage his campaign.
“They don’t need an HD recorder – they can call me. I’m very open, they can call me; we can have an open discussion, perhaps even a debate,” he told the publication.
Anthony Tolda
A candidate for Congress in New York’s Second District, a seat now held by Democrat Steve Israel, says there is a “usurper” in the Oval Office and impeachment isn’t the solution since “that would imply that he held the seat in a valid manner in the first place.”
The comments by Constitution Party candidate Anthony Tolda were reported on a blog calling on Obama to release his records.
“For our Constitution to continue to exist much longer Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro must be removed from office,” the candidate’s statement said. “I would not seek to impeach him, as that would imply that he held the seat in a valid manner in the first place.”
Tolda’s speech was captured in two segments on video:
In it, he references the “usurper” in the office of the president.
But the blog expands on that, noting that Tolda was asked specifically about Obama’s eligibility to be president.
The candidate responded, “There is a process to remove seat holders that are not able to legally hold a seat. Until now the highest seat that was removed from the holder in this manner is a seat(s) in the U.S. Senate.
“I will seek to begin this process as soon as I am sworn in. Although I do not intend to pursue an impeachment, I would assist in any efforts started by others in office to impeach. Only so long as I can verify that it would not nullify my plans for the annulment-type removal that has been used on senators unfit to legally hold office in the past,” he said.
Indiana congressional candidate Marvin Scott
Indiana congressional candidate Marvin Scott was responding to call-in questions from campaign supporters when he was confronted with a question about his position on the eligibility issue:
Scott, who is challenging Democrat incumbent Andre Carson, said, “Certainly, we have a right to know as citizens of this country. And that particular question has to be vetted over and over again to assure the public that the people who are representing us are fair and have ascended to that particular position because they have met all of the requirements, and therefore they are entitled to by a vote of the populace to be there.”
Scott has been a professor of sociology at Butler University for nearly 20 years and for nine years was president of a management-consulting firm.
He’s served as a consultant to public schools, colleges, universities and federal courts. His website explains he’s running for the House of Representatives because Republicans have a “long and rich history with basic principles: Individuals, not government, can make the best decisions; all people are entitled to equal rights; and decisions are best made close to home.”
Sen. David Vitter, R-La.
Louisiana’s Vitter says the dispute over Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president should be resolved in court.
“I support conservative legal organizations and others who would bring that to court,” Vitter said, according to an Associated Press report citing a video of the event.
It’s also significant that the AP reported on Vitter’s comments. The news wire has stated the president’s “birth certificate” has been made public even though the image of the document posted online actually is a “certification of live birth,” which was available to those not born in Hawaii.
Vitter was responding to a constituent at a town-hall meeting in Metairie, La., who asked about Obama’s “refusal to produce” a birth certificate.
The AP reported the crowd applauded the question.
Vitter said he didn’t have personal “standing” for litigation. But he said he supports the efforts to bring the question to court.
“I think that is the valid and most possibly effective grounds to do it,” he said.
He said “first and foremost” Americans need to “fight the Obama agenda at the ballot box starting this fall.”
Vitter said, according to the AP report, that the matters of the nation are too important to be diverted by distractions.
U.S. Rep. Steve King
U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, appears to have suggested he’s not entirely satisfied that all the questions about President Obama’s eligibility have been answered fully.
The issue came up as he talked about the national debt in a recent address in Congress, televised by C-SPAN and posted on YouTube:
The congressman referred to the estimated $44,000 that each child born in the United States owes at the moment of birth as his or her part of the federal debt.
“We worry about them carrying a student-loan debt … maybe $40,000 in student loans,” he said. “We’ll, I’d be happy to take that $40,000 loan and a guarantee of a college degree and think that child could pay that off.”
But for the $44,000 in federal debt obligations, all the individual gets is access to citizenship in the United States of America, he said.
“Little baby with ink on their foot, stamped right there on the birth certificate – there’s one in this country we haven’t seen,” he said. “But the footprints on those we have seen. Those little babies owe Uncle Sam $44,000.”
U.S. Rep. Bob Inglis, R-S.C.
Rep. Bob Inglis, R-S.C., said Obama was born “not in Hawaii.” He gave the answer during a tongue-in-cheek “interview” on the satirical Colbert Nation show.
Inglis was being grilled about whether he was a conservative.
“Are you conservative enough for the 4th District?” Stephen Colbert asked.
“I sure hope so,” Inglis responded.
Inglis noted he had been endorsed by the National Rifle Association and the Christian Coalition.
Then Colbert said, “Complete this sentence. ‘Barack Obama was born in …’”
“Oh,” said Inglis, “Not Hawaii.”
Champaign, Ill., mayor Gerald Schweighart
A few weeks earlier, the mayor of Champaign, Ill., Gerald Schweighart, said Obama should produce his birth certificate.
The mayor was asked about Obama and responded he doesn’t think he’s “American.”
“If you are not willing to produce an original birth certificate, then you’ve got something to hide,” he said. “If he doesn’t have something to hide, produce it.”
Others raising questions are Tennessee state Senate speaker Ron Ramsey, Hawaii state Sen. Will Espero, Oklahoma state Rep. Mike Ritze, U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., and many others with similar questions.
Ramsey said, “I don’t know whether President Obama is a citizen of the United States or not. I don’t know what the whole deal is there.”
But Ramsey also said he doesn’t believe citizens are concerned about Obama’s citizenship status.
“But I’m going to tell you something,” he said. “When you walk out on the street down here, people don’t really care about this issue.”
There also have been efforts to raise the question of Obama’s eligibility at the state and national levels. Several state legislatures are working on proposals that would require presidential candidates to submit proof of their eligibility. Among the states where election qualification or eligibility requirements were being considered or developed include Oklahoma, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Virginia and New York.
Hawaii state Sen. Will Espero
Hawaii state Sen. Will Espero, a Democrat, has suggested that legislation could be adopted to release Obama’s birth records and satisfy critics.
While Espero said he believes Obama was born in Hawaii, he explained, “My decision to file the legislation was primarily a result of the fuss over President Obama’s birth records and the lingering questions.”
Oklahoma state Rep. Mike Ritze
Oklahoma state Rep. Mike Ritze sponsored a proposal to demand eligibility documentation from candidates for political office, including the president. Ritze, who says he regularly gets questions from his constituents about Obama’s eligibility, said an “ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” on the issues of candidate qualifications and eligibility.
U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla.
In March 2009, Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., proposed H.R. 1503, known as the Presidential Eligibility Act. It is still pending in a House committee and has nearly a dozen co-sponsors, including Reps. Dan Burton, R-Ind.; Ted Poe, R-Texas; Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.; John Campbell, R-Calif.; John R. Carter, R-Texas; John Culberson, R-Texas; Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.; Randy Neugebauer, R-Texas; Trent Franks, R-Ariz.; Louie Gohmert, R-Texas; and Kenny Marchant, R-Texas.
The measure seeks to “amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee’s statement of organization a copy of the candidate’s birth certificate … to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution.”
Arizona state Sen. Sylvia Allen
Arizona state Sen. Sylvia Allen, R-Snowflake, said the controversy over Obama and his birth certificate has raised questions.
“It just makes sense and will stop any controversy in the future to just show you are a natural born citizen,” she told the Arizona Capitol Times.
Arizona state Rep. Judy Burges
Arizona state Rep. Judy Burges, R-Skull Valley, told WND she has been getting questions from other states about H. 2442, a proposal she sponsored to require future presidential candidates to show they are qualified under the U.S. Constitution’s demand for a “natural born citizen.” The bill was co-sponsored by some three dozen lawmakers who also want state officials to independently verify the accuracy of documentation.
U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal, R-Ga.
Rep. Nathan Deal, R-Ga., sent a Dec. 10 letter to the White House formally requesting that President Obama address questions about his place of birth – and thus, whether he is qualified to be president. Deal, who is running for governor, said several months ago he would ask Obama to prove his eligibility.
“I have looked at the documentation that is publicly available, and it leaves many things to be desired,” Deal said in November.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin
Even Sarah Palin, former vice-presidential candidate and best-selling author, affirmed that questions about Barack Obama’s eligibility for office are legitimate.
“I think it’s a fair question, just like I think past association and past voting records – all of that is fair game,” Palin said. “The McCain-Palin campaign didn’t do a good enough job in that area.”
Former House majority leader Tom DeLay
In October, former House majority leader Tom DeLay offered his views on Obama’s birth, saying, “Why wouldn’t the president of the United States show the American people his birth certificate? You have to show a birth certificate to play Little League baseball. It’s a question that should be answered. It’s in the Constitution that you have to be a natural born citizen of the United States to be president.”
U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.
Asked whether he believes Obama is eligible to be president, U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., said, “What I don’t know is why the president cannot produce a birth certificate. I don’t know anyone else who can’t produce one. I think that’s a legitimate question.”
U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz.
U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., said he believes Obama was born in the U.S., but he also said he thinks the president is trying to hide something:
“I believe he’s a natural born citizen of the United States. Therefore, even if he acts un-American and seems to go against American interests, he’s still an American-born citizen,” he said. “All that being said, probably Barack Obama could solve this problem and make the birthers back off by simply showing … his long-form birth certificate.”
Because that isn’t happening, “There’s some other issue there.”
“I don’t know what it is that he doesn’t want people to see the birth certificate. I don’t think it has to do with his natural-born citizenship,” Franks continued. “He’s spent an awful lot of money to keep people from seeing the birth certificate. … I think it has to do with something else.”
Feminist icon Camille Paglia
Even feminist icon Camille Paglia, a Salon.com columnist who earlier wrote about the ambiguities of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate, told a National Public Radio audience that those who have questions about his eligibility actually have a point. “Yes, there were ambiguities about Obama’s birth certificate that have never been satisfactorily resolved. And the embargo on Obama’s educational records remains troubling,” she wrote.
New Hampshire State Rep. Laurence Rappaport
In September, New Hampshire State Rep. Laurence Rappaport, R-Colebrook, said he was tired of telling his constituents that he’s not sure of Obama’s eligibility to serve as president. He met with New Hampshire’s secretary of state, William Gardner, who oversees the state’s elections, to demand answers.
“Regardless of where he was born, is he a natural born citizen as required by the Constitution? I don’t know the answer to that,” Rappaport said. “My understanding is that … a natural born citizen had to be someone with two American parents. If that’s true, his father was a Kenyan and therefore a British subject at the time. Then there’s the issue: If he was born out of the country, was his mother old enough at the time to confer citizenship?
“I expect somebody to come up with the legal answers to this,” Rappaport told WND, “and so far that hasn’t happened.”
Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, R-Ariz.
In his Jan. 26 appearance on “Hardball,” former Rep. J.D. Hayworth was asked by Chris Matthews, “Are you as far right as the birthers? Are you one of those who believes that the president should have to prove that he’s a citizen of the United States and not an illegal immigrant? Are you that far right?”
Hayworth replied, “Well, gosh, we all had to bring our birth certificates to show we were who we said we were, and we were the age we said we were, to play football in youth sports. Shouldn’t we know exactly that anyone who wants to run for public office is a natural-born citizen of the United States, and is who they say they are?”
“Should the governor of Hawaii produce evidence that the president is one of us, an American?” Matthews asked. “Do you think that’s a worthy pastime for the governor of Hawaii right now?”
“No, I … Look, I’m just saying the president should come forward with the information, that’s all,” said Hayworth. “Why should we depend on the governor of Hawaii?”

A prominent array of commentators, including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Lou Dobbs, Peter Boyles and WND’s Chuck Norris and Pat Boone have all said unequivocally and publicly that the Obama eligibility issue is legitimate and worthy.
Longtime New York radio talker Lynn Samuels did the same. “We don’t even know where he was born,” she said. “I absolutely believe he was not born in this country.”
Also, Aaron Klein, best-selling author and WND reporter, dedicated several of his shows on New York’s WABC Radio to investigating the birth certificate issue. Klein also repeatedly called out the news media for their lack of curiosity on the subject.

Tim Thomas, Boston Bruins goalie, snubs President Obama

There was a notable absence during a White House reception this afternoon for the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins: star goalie Tim Thomas.

Thomas refused the invite for "political reasons," Sports Illustrated reports.

Nearly every other member of the Bruins was at the ceremony, where President Obama congratulated the team on its victory. Thomas is a staunch conservative and is expected to explain his snub of the president on his Facebook page this evening.

"Whatever he will say is not reflective of our organization's views or beliefs," Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli told SI.com.

Consider this:

The usurper is going to give the State of the Union Address tomorrow night, Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012. Mr. Cool will stand at the podium in front of the full Outlaw Congress, Supreme Court Justices and other "luminaries" knowing full well his game of fraud might just be on the cliff. But, as a very practiced, pathological liar, the serial vacationer will no doubt yuk it up while trying to look serious reading how many teleprompters?

Two days later, Barry is required to respond to a subpoena to bring all his records to court in Georgia to prove his eligibility to run for the office he has usurped.

Unless his attorney's can get an emergency stay of some sort between now and Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 - the imposter president of these united States of America will be in a court room in Georgia or be held in contempt.

When you think about it, it really is an extraordinary set of circumstances.

Of course the "mainstream" media and cable network anchors and news desks have remained mute. They play the numbers game hoping the cattle will be content with the drivel they serve up. I know there was local coverage in Georgia, but other than WND and other independent news sites, the lock down on what's happening with that looming court date has been complete.

Leo Donofrio, for those who might not know, was the first individual to challenge the eligibility of Obama/Soetoro, McCain and a third candidate for ballot qualification in New Jersey in 2008.

It gets curiouser and curiouser.

Although Attorney Apuzzo believes Obama has a definite obligation to appear in court in Georgia on 1/26 to testify, there's a big probability that he won't show up. The worst that could then happen is a $5 fine and his name would not appear on the Presidential ballot for Georgia -- but only IF the Georgia Secretary of State decides to bar Barry from the ballot.

Now, here's a new development coming out of this mystery. It may be that Obama actually is eligible as a "Natural Born Citizen" and his only real crime is identity theft. How is that possible ? Well, without any genuine birth certificate, "Obama" could have been born anywhere -- even in Harlem in New York City, as one researcher proposes. His real father could be anyone -- even Malcolm X (aka "Shabazz"). That story by Martha Trowbridge is gaining some legs.

Of course, Obama could have been born in Kenya. That's why we need a genuine birth document -- to show where on earth he actually was born. Since his attempt to manufacture an Hawaiian birth certificate has been closely investigated by computer experts -- and shown to be a forgery -- it seems
very improbable that he was born in Hawaii. So which alternative story do you prefer to believe -- that he was born in Kenya to Barack Obama, Sr. or that he was born in Harlem to black radical Malcolm X ?

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, there is a posse led by Sheriff Joe Arpaio rounding up some facts to demonstrate the truth of WHO the man sitting in the White House actually is and WHERE his birth occurred. Sooner or later we may learn the TRUTH.

However, please vote to reelect Barry (" Obama/Soetoro"') or ("Shabazz"). He has a great record of performance in improving the economy, leading America out of the recession and preventing the environment from being polluted via dirty coal, filthy oil and ugly pipelines -- even if it comes at the price of higher gasoline and utility bills, destroying JOBS, and delaying our country's ever becoming independant of foreign energy sources. After all, he is very articulate and good looking -- and has boosted the popularity of the Teleprompter and the creative use of Czars and Executive Orders. Iowa Voting Irregularities Kept Santorum from Becoming the Anti-Romney Candidate

Vote irregularities in the Iowa caucuses led to Mitt Romney erroneously being declared the winner of the Iowa caucuses earlier this month,artificially giving his presidential campaign weeks of momentum and depriving Rick Santorum the opportunity to become the conservatives’alternative candidate.
The original results showed Mitt Romney had won in Iowa by a margin of eight votes. But yesterday,Iowa GOP officials announced a “final”vote total shows Santorum won at least 34 votes more votes than Mitt. The new results will record 29,839 votes for Santorum and 29,805 for Romney.
“Many people were skeptical”on election night,said Gretchen Carlson on “Fox and Friends”Thursday morning. But as I noted, absolutely nobody was skeptical about the election night shenanigans. No anchor expressed concern about the series of dubious-sounding voting snafus —including a story about someone absconding with ballots and driving the results around Iowa’s backroads in his pickup truck. Instead,slap-happy Fox News’analysts played the stories off as a joke and eagerly reported Karl Rove’s scoop that Mitt Romney’s vote had been “undercounted.”
A few days later,a Ron Paul supporter came forward with information that his private record of his precinct’s vote totals did not match the numbers party officials reported. These alone,Edward True said,would have shifted the race from Romney to Santorum.
Even now,eight precincts cannot certify their vote —precincts,as I note,that did not support Romney in 2008. Matt Strawn,chairman of the Iowa GOP,said he had no idea how these votes were lost.
But the problem is worse than that. The Washington Post points out,deep in an piece in yesterday’s issue,that the numbers reported to the party on each voting precinct’s “Form E”did not match the actual vote totals in 131 precincts. That’s seven percent of Iowa’s 1,774 precincts. What’s more,100 precincts’Form E returns did not comply with state instructions:

The precinct chair and precinct secretary were both to sign the results verified by witnesses on caucus night. But results for some precincts came in on pieces of paper other than the official forms. Many more had only one signature,or the wrong signature (say,from a county chair). Another 18 documents had no signatures at all.
All were accepted,party officials said.

This article details the caucuses’problems on a county-by-county basis this year,and at a marco level going back to 1976.
“Does anyone have a problem with that this morning?”Carlson asked. “Maybe we should look into the process.”
Maybe,indeed. Romney’s loss to Mike Huckabee in 2008 derailed his campaign. The news that Romney prevailed,even by eight votes,gave Mitt an aura of inevitability,a sense buoyed by Romney’s long-expected victory in the New Hampshire primaries. Santorum’s “tie,”though endearing in an underdog sense,left him looking like an unsuccessful flavor-of-the-week,Michele Bachmann in a sweater vest.
By the time the news broke,Santorum was mired in fourth place in South Carolina.
Yesterday’s announcement should have breathed life into his campaign. Instead,Rick Perry’s abrupt exit and endorsement of Newt Gingrich kept Santorum out of the spotlight. (Perry,who made a compelling candidate on paper,stepped on viable conservative challengers twice. His announcement deflated Michele Bachmann’s victory in the Iowa Straw Poll,and now his exit buries Santorum’s victory in the caucuses.)
John Stineman,an Iowa Republican operative,said the results reversal “will be a story and Santorum will seize upon it,but it won’t change the current political narrative.”
Gretchen Carlson agreed,“Does it make any difference to the race going forward? Probably not.”
The momentum of a second socially conservative candidate defeating Mitt Romney in the Iowa caucuses and the mass endorsement of evangelical leaders in South Carolina would have solidified Rick Santorum as the Christian Right’s anti-Romney,especially in South Carolina. Instead,the brilliant but less reliably conservative Newt Gingrich is surging based on outstanding debate performances,and Santorum is hanging on for dear life.
More importantly,a second rejection of Romney in Iowa would have raised questions about his appeal to the GOP base and spelled a much different narrative for the former governor. Conservatives would have rallied earlier. Santorum may not have gained enough support to win,but Romney have been placed on the defensive —where,as his debate performances stretching back to 2008 prove,ul ar particularly ineffective.
The Republican Party’s conservative base has been betrayed twice —once by the media,and once by indefensible behavior from within.

Ga. judge orders president to appear at hearing

ATLANTA -- A judge has ordered President Barack Obama to appear in court in Atlanta for a hearing on a complaint that says Obama isn't a natural-born citizen and can't be president.
It's one of many such lawsuits that have been filed across the country, so far without success. A Georgia resident made the complaint, which is intended to keep Obama's name off the state's ballot in the March presidential primary.
An Obama campaign aide says any attempt to involve the president personally will fail and such complaints around the country have no merit.
The hearing is set for Thursday before an administrative judge. Deputy Chief Judge Michael Malihi on Friday denied a motion by the president's lawyer to quash a subpoena that requires Obama to show up.

JW Exposes White House/Department of Justice Working Relationship with ACORN Group Implicated in Massive Voter Registration Fraud

With the 2012 elections just months away, the ACORN-connected group Project Vote (and Obama campaign ally) is redoubling its efforts to undermine the integrity of the 2012 elections - and they are evidently doing it with the participation of the Obama White House and the Department of Justice (DOJ).

In January, Judicial Watch obtained additional documents about meetings held between Estelle Rogers, Director of Advocacy for the ACORN organization Project Vote, and officials from the Obama White House and the DOJ.

Judicial Watch is investigating the extent to which Project Vote, which once employed Barack Obama, has been working with the Obama administration to use voter registration laws to register greater numbers of low-income voters, widely considered to be an important voting demographic for the Obama presidential campaign.

Judicial Watch was already well aware that the DOJ was heavily involved in this scheme based on documents previously obtained, but the latest batch of records implicates the Obama White House directly!

According to the records, obtained by Judicial Watch in response to a FOIA lawsuit filed on August 19, 2011:

On April 27, 2009, Estelle Rogers wrote to Deputy Assistant Attorney General Sam Hirsh regarding an upcoming meeting on April 30, 2009. In addition to Rogers and Hirsh, other attendees included: Nicole Kovite, Director of Public Agency Project for Project Vote; Spencer Overton, Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Policy; and two officials from the Obama White House: Celia Muñoz, then-Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and recently promoted to Director of the Domestic Policy Council; and Tino Cuellar, Special Assistant to the President for Justice and Regulatory Policy. (Muñoz, you will recall, is the former senior vice-president of the National Council of La Raza who has been funneling tax dollars to radical Mexican separatists ever since she joined the Obama White House.)

In her email, Rogers referenced documents she forwarded in preparation for the upcoming meeting on the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), to which Hirsch replies that he looked forward to "reading these materials" and to "seeing everyone on Thursday."

On February 23, 2011, Rogers wrote to Associate Deputy Attorney General Robert Weiner, asking him to "make some headway with Attorney General Holder in enforcing Section 7 of the NVRA." The email notes that the DOJ had not yet filed any Section 7 lawsuits, which Rogers dubbed "deeply disappointing." The first such DOJ lawsuit (against Rhode Island) was filed on March 18, 2011, less than one month later. Of particular note, is Rogers' comment that "We have received oral assurances from [Assistant Attorney General Thomas] Perez on several occasions that enforcement action was imminent," suggesting that Rogers was privy to internal discussions inside the DOJ regarding pending legal action.

On March 29, 2011, Rogers wrote to Associate Attorney General Perrelli, urging him to review and "make improvements" to a document she was sending following another meeting held on March 17, 2011, between Project Vote and the DOJ on Section 7 compliance with the NRVA. Accompanying the document was a previous letter she had sent to the Civil Rights Division plus "additional comments on the Q and A."

These documents raise fundamental questions about the politicization of the DOJ under Eric Holder and demonstrate that the ACORN-connected Project Vote is throwing its weight around the DOJ and driving the agency's voting rights agenda.

And, evidently the Obama White House is now directly implicated in this growing scandal. It is now clear that Project Vote and the Obama/Holder DOJ are conspiring to file DOJ lawsuits to help re-elect Barack Obama. This collusion between Project Vote and the Obama administration is a significant threat to the integrity of the 2012 elections.

To have Project Vote involved in DOJ voting rights enforcement is like having the Mafia run the FBI! And Estelle Rogers is one of Project Vote's key "bosses."

As Director of Advocacy for Project Vote, Estelle Rogers ‒ a former attorney for ACORN, which was besieged with charges of corruption before declaring bankruptcy in November 2010 ‒ is a primary contact person on policy matters at Project Vote at both the state and federal levels and has been actively involved in voter registration issues. Using the threat of a lawsuit under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), Project Vote has aggressively sought to manipulate voter registration laws in various states in an effort to increase the registration of people receiving public assistance.

On August 4, 2011, Judicial Watch released documents obtained from the Colorado Department of State showing that ACORN and Project Vote successfully pressured Colorado officials into implementing new policies for increasing the registration of public assistance recipients during the 2008 and 2010 election seasons. Following the policy changes, the percentage of invalid voter registration forms from Colorado public assistance agencies was four times the national average. Project Vote also sought a "legislative fix" to allow people without a driver's license or state identification to register to vote online.

In addition to pursuing public agency registration cases in Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia and New Mexico, Project Vote and the NAACP filed a lawsuit on April 19, 2011, against the State of Louisiana alleging violations of the NVRA. Less than three months later, on July 12, the DOJ's Civil Rights Division/Voting Section sued Louisiana on the same grounds, claiming that "Louisiana officials have not routinely offered voter registration forms, assistance and services to the state's eligible citizens who apply, recertify or provide a change address for public assistance or disability services."

The DOJ's March 11, 2011, lawsuit against Rhode Island led to policy changes intended to increase the number of voter registration applications processed by "public assistance and disability service officers." These two lawsuits, filed within five months of each other, are the first such lawsuits filed by the DOJ since 2007.

Project Vote and ACORN have both been linked to massive voter registration fraud. A total of 70 ACORN employees in 12 states have been convicted of voter registration fraud. And as documented in a July 2009 report by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, of the 1.3 million registrations Project Vote/ACORN submitted in the 2008 election cycle, more than one-third were invalid. (And don't believe the line that ACORN is dead. As we documented in our special report "The Rebranding of ACORN," the corrupt organization is alive and well and ready to wreak havoc in the 2012 elections.)

A storm is fast approaching in 2012. The integrity of our elections is under attack by ACORN and Project Vote. And it now appears that the Obama administration is complicit in a plot by these community organizations to steal the elections. Trust Judicial Watch to do what it can to uphold the rule of law against this very real challenge to our election system.

When Eric Holder ordered Justice Department Inspector General Cynthia Schnedar to begin an investigation of possible wrongdoing in Operation Fast and Furious it was with just one purpose in mind—enable the Attorney General and other DOJ officials to refuse to answer questions or provide documentation concerning the “gunwalking” debacle because there is an “ongoing investigation.” It’s a neat little legal trick the Obama regime has pulled on more than one occasion.

But although Holder used this dodge of his own creation to keep congressional committee members at bay for nearly a year,it appears the OIG report is just about ready to make its long overdue appearance. For Holder and his DOJ minions have telegraphed the fact that they might already have,to put it discreetly,“been privy” to information contained in the document.

And the reason this is a safe bet is that “three of the prime Bureau of Alcohol,Tobacco and Firearms players in the Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal have been relieved of their duties.”

Two of the three —William Hoover,former Deputy Director of the ATF and Mark Chait,former Assistant Director of Field Operations —had already been shuffled into new positions months ago. William McMahon,former Deputy Assistant Director of Field Operations,had not been part of that occupational shell game,but now joins Chait and Hoover on the sidelines,awaiting the final publication of the report which will publicly determine their ultimate fate.

That Holder was no doubt given advance notice of Schnedar’s findings is as unethical it is unsurprising. The two have been friends and work-mates for many years and are,of course,fellow leftists.

The real questions involve what will happen now. Will the OIG report come out immediately prior to Eric Holder’s February 2^nd appearance before Darrell Issa’s House Oversight Committee? The timing would allow Holder to dazzle committee members with the honesty and efficiency of the DOJ,having dismissed three individuals who just happened to be mentioned by the Inspector General as bad eggs.

The story about President Barack Obama’s bi-sexual past will not go away. Now, in an exclusive interview with The Globe, Norma Jean Young, the 76-year old mother of the late Trinity United Church of Christ choir director Donald Young, has spoken out and declared that persons trying to protect Obama murdered her son at the height of the 2007 Democratic presidential primary to protect Obama from embarrassing revelations about his homosexual relationship with her son.

Donald Young’s bullet-ridden body was found in his Chicago apartment on December 23, 2007, in what appeared to be an assassination-style slaying.

Norma Jean Young revealed to The Globe that her son Donald, who was openly gay, was a “close friend” of Obama. Mrs. Young also believes the Chicago Police Department has not placed a high priority on finding the killers of her son.

Mrs. Young, who is, herself a former employee of the Chicago Police Department, told The Globe that, “There is more to the story,” adding, “I do believe they are shielding somebody or protecting someone.”

The Globe’s revelations are consistent with information obtained by WMR during a May investigation conducted in Chicago. On May 24, WMR reported:

“President Obama and his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel are lifetime members of the same gay bath house in uptown Chicago, according to informed sources in Chicago’s gay community, as well as veteran political sources in the city.”

The report added,

“WMR spoke to several well-placed sources in Chicago who reported that Jeremiah Wright, the pastor of Obama’s former church of 20 years, Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) on Chicago’s south side, ran what was essentially a matchmaking service for gay married black professional members of the church, including lawyers and businessmen, particularly those with children.

The matchmaking club was called the ‘Down Low Club’ but references to it over the phone and email simply referred to the group with the code phrase ‘DLC.’

The ruse, according to our sources, was to make anyone who was eavesdropping on the communications [FBI wiretaps in the Rod Blagojevich case likely contain such references] believe that the references were to the Democratic Leadership Council, also known as the DLC . . .

Among the members of the gay ‘DLC’ were Obama and TUCC’s choir director, Donald Young, an openly gay man who reportedly had a sexual relationship with Obama. Two other gay members of the church were Larry Bland and Nate Spencer.

Young and Bland were brutally murdered, execution style, in late 2007. Bland was murdered on November 17, 2007 and Young on December 24, 2007. The latter was killed by multiple gunshot wounds. Spencer reportedly died on December 26, 2007, official cause of death: ‘septicemia, pneumonia, and HIV.’”

Larry Sinclair, the gay man who claimed to have had two sexual encounters with Obama in Chicago in 1999, wrote a book, “Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder,” in which he states that Obama was linked to Young’s murder.

Sinclair wrote that he was in contact with Young shortly before his murder and Young revealed his relationship with Obama. At the time of his revelations about Obama at a National Press Club news conference, WMR doubted the veracity of Sinclair’s story due to the absence of corroborating evidence coupled with a bizarre news conference.

However, since that time, WMR has received corroboration from a number of sources in a number of locations, including Chicago, Alabama, Georgia, and Washington, DC. WMR has received information that various competing camps, including the Hillary Clinton and John McCain campaigns, attempted to co-opt Sinclair and his revelations for their own political purposes.

Sinclair, it should be noted, has not deviated from his original story or charges against Obama.

On June 19, 2008, WMR reported:

“WhiteHouse.com held a news conference following Sinclair’s at which a video of Sinclair’s polygraph was to be shown. After experiencing technical difficulties with the video presentation, Parisi abruptly canceled the news conference and took no questions.”

The aborted news conference was as bizarre as Sinclair’s. Sinclair was arrested by Washington, DC police following his news conference based on a warrant from Delaware issued by Vice President candidate Joseph Biden’s son, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. The Delaware charges against Sinclair were later dropped.

Sinclair’s book is now the subject of a defamation lawsuit [Daniel Parisi, et al v. Lawrence W. Sinclair a/k/a "Larry Sinclair," et al] brought by Dan Parisi, the proprietor of the website, Whitehouse.com, who is mentioned in Sinclair’s book with regard to his involvement in polygraphs administered to Sinclair after he made his allegations against Obama public during the 2008 presidential campaign.

The lawsuit is being handled by the politically powerful Patton & Boggs law firm, the same firm that represented George W. Bush’s top political adviser Karl Rove in the Valerie Plame Wilson/CIA leak, and has been filed against Sinclair, his publishing company, and distributors, including Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Sinclair is currently a resident of Florida.

The lawsuit against Sinclair has been assigned to Judge Richard Leon, the Republican deputy chief minority counsel on the House Select Committee to Investigate Covert Arms Transactions with Iran, aka, the Iran-contra scandal.

From 1988 to 1989, he served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General and from 1992 to 1993 was the Republican chief minority counsel on the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s October Surprise Task Force investigating the 1980 Reagan-Bush campaign’s secret dealings with Iran to ensure the defeat of President Jimmy Carter.

Leon was nominated for the federal bench by President George W. Bush on September 10, 2001. Leon’s involvement in so many high-level cover-ups of White House misconduct makes him an illogical choice to hear a case involving serious allegations against President Obama.

Note:

Blagojevich’s defense in his federal corruption trial is slated to begin today in Chicago. Judge James Zagel has denied the defense’s request for all the government’s wiretaps to be played.

The tapes, as previously reported by WMR, contain some earthy references to Obama’s and his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel’s homosexual habits.

Sinclair has told WMR that he believes the Obama White House is trying to have his book withdrawn from circulation to avoid any further embarrassments about Obama’s homosexual past and the possible involvement of his top lieutenants in Young’s murder.

The Globe reported in May 2008 that a top Chicago private detective said he believed Young was “rubbed out” because of his relationship with Obama. Sinclair has echoed the private eye’s beliefs about Young and Obama. The Globe reports that before his death, Young was planning to flee to Africa to teach.

The information was provided to The Globe by Young’s mother, who also now fears for her life and plans to leave her Peoria, Illinois home for a secret location. Mrs. Young said the Chicago police have warned her that her life is in danger.

“Presidential electors and Congress,not the state of Georgia,hold the constitutional responsibility for determining the qualifications of presidential candidates,” Obama’s lawyer argues in a motion to quash a subpoena for him to appear at the hearings Jan. 26.

“The election of President Obama by the presidential electors,confirmed by Congress,makes the documents and testimony sought by plaintiff irrelevant,” the lawyer said.

Hearings have been scheduled for that date for three separate issues to be handled. They all are raised by Georgia residents who are challenging Obama’s name on the 2012 ballot for various reasons,which they are allowed to do under state law.
It is states,usually through the office of secretary of state,that run elections,not the federal government. The national election is simply a compilation of the results of the individual elections within states.
The schedule for the hearings was set by Judge Michael M. Malihi of the Georgia state Office of State Administrative Hearings. In Georgia,a state law requires “every candidate for federal” office who is certified by the state executive committees of a political party or who files a notice of candidacy “shall meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought.”
State law also grants the secretary of state and any “elector who is eligible to vote for a candidate” in the state the authority to raise a challenge to a candidate’s qualifications,the judge determined.

“The president made the documents available to the general public by placing it on his website. Although the document has been generally available for years, the president took the extraordinary step of acquiring a copy of the record of birth, informally known as the ‘long form,’ making it available to anyone who cares to check the website,” the filing argues.

And the state should mind its own business anyway, he argued.

“The sovereignty of the state of Georgia does not extend beyond the limits of the State. … Since the sovereignty of the state does not extend beyond its territorial limits, an administrative subpoena has no effect,” the filing explains.

Taitz’ supporters joined a discussion on her website, where she also solicits support for the expenses of the battles she’s confronting, judging that Obama is on the defensive.

“What a joke. He claims to be too busy performing the duties of the president of the United States. How many days of vacation has he taken? How many rounds of golf? If he is too busy to provide the documents that provide the basis for meeting the requirements of the office, then perhaps he better sit out the next four years,” said one.

Wrote another, “The election of President Obama by the presidential electors, confirmed by Congress, makes the documents and testimony sought by plaintiff irrelevant. … This is complete utter nonsense!”

In fact, a presidential elector in California brought a lawsuit challenging Obama’s eligibility at the time of the 2008 election, and was told the dispute was not yet ripe because the inauguration hadn’t taken place. The courts later ruled that the elector lost his “standing” to bring the lawsuit after the inauguration.

Those bringing the complaints include David Farrar, Leah Lax, Cody Judy, Thomas Malaren and Laurie Roth, represented by Taitz; David Weldon represented by attorney Van R. Irion of Liberty Legal Foundation; and Carl Swensson and Kevin Richard Powell, represented by J. Mark Hatfield.

Irion said not many court observers believed Obama actually would comply with the subpoena for a number of reasons. He said for his clients’ arguments the testimony wouldn’t even be an issue.

His argument is that the Founders clearly considered a “natural born citizen,” as the Constitution requires of a president, to be the offspring of two citizen parents. Since Obama himself has written in his books that his father, Barack Obama Sr., was a Kenyan, and thus subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom, Irion argues that Obama is disqualified under any circumstances.

Those who argue against his birth in the United States note that a multitude of experts have given testimony and sworn statements that they believe Obama’s Hawaiian birth documentation to be fraudulent.

It is that concern that also has prompted Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona to turn over an investigation of that issue to his Cold Case Posse. Their investigation report is expected to be released in the next few weeks.

The Georgia hearing will be the first time among dozens of so-far unsuccessful lawsuits brought over Obama’s eligibility issue that evidence will be heard in a court. Other cases all have been dismissed over issues such as standing, without a presentation of the evidence.

Top constitutional expert Herb Titus explains that the use of “natural born citizen,” does, in fact, require parents who are citizens. That argument also is supported by a 19th-century U.S. Supreme Court decision

The hearing is set at 9 a.m. on Jan. 26 for the complaint brought by Weldon. Following immediately will be hearings for the cases brought by Swensson and Powell, and the issue raised by Farrar, Lax, Judy, Malaren and Roth will be third.

Malihi’s ruling said: “The court finds that defendant is a candidate for federal office who has been certified by the state executive committee of a political party, and therefore must, under Code Section 21-2-5, meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought.”

There are similar challenges to Obama’s 2012 candidacy being raised before state election or other commissions in Tennessee, Arizona, Illinois, New Hampshire and other states as well.

The U.S. Supreme Court opinion cited is Minor v. Happersett from 1875. It includes one of very few references in the nation’s archives that addresses the definition of “natural-born citizen,” a requirement imposed by the U.S. Constitution on only the U.S. president.

That case states:

“The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.”

What the White House in April released was as an image of a “Certificate of Live Birth” from the state of Hawaii in support of Obama’s claim that he was born in the state. The White House has not addressed the questions raised by Obama’s father’s nationality.

An extensive analysis of the issue was conducted by Titus, who has taught constitutional law, common law and other subjects for 30 years at five different American Bar Association-approved law schools. He also was the founding dean of the College of Law at Regent University, a trial attorney and special assistant U.S. attorney in the Department of Justice.

“‘Natural born citizen’ in relation to the office of president, and whether someone is eligible, was in the Constitution from the very beginning,” he said. “Another way of putting it; there is a law of the nature of citizenship. If you are a natural born citizen, you are a citizen according to the law of nature, not according to any positive statement in a Constitution or in a statute, but because of the very nature of your birth and the very nature of nations.”

If you “go back and look at what the law of nature would be or would require … that’s precisely what a natural born citizen is …. is one who is born to a father and mother each of whom is a citizen of the U.S. or whatever other country,” he said.

“Now what we’ve learned from the Hawaii birth certificate is that Mr. Obama’s father was not a citizen of the United States. His mother was, but he doesn’t qualify as a natural born citizen for the office of president.”

Really "Won" Iowa

The final results of the Iowa Caucuses puts Rick Santorum ahead of Mitt Romney by 34 votes, though the Iowan Republican Party's executive director, calls it a "split decision."

It might all boil down to semantics and, yes, that is a slim number (keep in mind there are eight counties in Iowa whose votes will never be certified), but the 34-vote margin that separate Santorum (29,839) and Mitt Romney (29,805) is still bigger than the eight votes which spurred Romney's history-making, back-to-back "wins" in Iowa and New Hampshire. Romney's move isn't exactly broken if you count ties--which is what Iowa's GOP officials are calling the final results. "I can’t speculate without documentation from the missing eight,” GOP Chairman Matt Strawn told The Des Moines Register referring to the eight counties and their missing votes. “The comments I made at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 4 congratulating both Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum still apply." Scott Olsen, the Iowan Republican Party's executive director, added "It’s a split decision." So what's this win tie do for Santorum? “It will be a story and Santorum will seize upon it, but it won’t change the current political narrative,” a Republican operative told The Des Moines Register.

Much like one of his predecessors,Franklin D. Roosevelt,Barack Obama has all but declared war on the United States Supreme Court.
It will be remembered that in 1937 FDR was angry over the high court’s refusal to put a stamp of approval on much of his New Deal agenda,and sought to bend the court to his will by adding new members to the existing court membership.
Contemptuously calling the court’s members a collection of “nine old men,”FDR sought to “pack”the high court with up to six additional members more likely to do his bidding. The proposal lost steam and,thankfully,failed.
Mr. Obama has not gone quite that far —yet. But he’s getting close. Like most U.S. presidents who chafe under the high court’s authority to rule on the constitutionality of aspects of their agendas,Obama is unhappy with the court’s failure to recognize the divinity of his proposals,if not that of his personhood.
Too bad. As we are often reminded,“Into each life some rain must fall.”
Thanks to the high court,Mr. Obama has been much in need of an umbrella of late. The president’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission was correctly overruled in a case involving religious freedom. Private Investigators respond to Leftist husband and wife team called Snopes regarding latest piece on Obama's social security number reserved for Connecticut applicants. Response from private investigators Susan Daniels and Niel Sankey below...

Susan Daniels: SNOPES is right. Obama is not using Jean Paul Ludwig’s CT social security number. He is using someone else’s. And in their delight in denouncing the use of Ludwig’s, they include a new addition to the Social Security Administration’s website that says a person does not have to live in the state for which the number has been set aside. That was never written there before Obama’s fraudulent use of his number was challenged.

Attached in the current information at SSA for filing for a number is the following. “NOTE: If you are age 12 or older and have never received a Social Security number, you must apply in person.”

Obama allegedly got his CT number of 042-68-4425 in March ’77, which can be proven since the person before him -4424 and after him -4429 both got theirs then.

Next is: “Show an address where you can receive you card 7 to 14 days from now” and a web address “to find the Social Security office or Social Security Card Center that serves your area.” Is there a single rational person in this country who believes a fifteen year old flew from HI to CT to get a social security number when he could have gotten his there?

Later this month they are going to start issuing the cards randomly. I think to prevent exactly what happened with Obama and his phony number. They were never randomly assigned before.

For him to have a CT number, there has to be at the SSA a form SS-5 that is hand-written (like the other numbers around his) and has a CT address where he was living. It doesn’t exist. Now that we have seen the phony “birth certificate,” let’s see the phony SS-5.

The other documents, which are self-explanatory, are a compilation of those I have found and some that were sent to me. The important documents included his falsified Selective Service application and the Selective Service Verification, which is a government run site. Of course, you won’t be able to pull up Obama’s because they shut his down — but not until after I printed it. You will find on it the last four numbers of his CT SSN. You can test its accuracy if you were in the military. This Ludwig story was not of my doing either, and I had no part in it, it was well subsequent to the compilation of lists and other data. I am firmly of the belief that these matters should be thoroughly and properly investigated, but by the correct Authorities who have the power to access the necessary material at source, i.e. the FBI, CIA etc. My job, as a concerned citizen with experience in this field is to raise the matter and present it for such investigation. A hearing has been set for January 26,2012,for the purpose of hearing the complaint of David Weldon,a citizen living in Georgia,where he questioned the Constitutionality of President Obama being allowed on the Georgia presidential ballot.
The hearing here in Atlanta will be on January 26th at 9 a.m. Since this is a public hearing,the public can attend. The location is the Justice Center Building,160 Pryor St,Atlanta,GA – Courtroom G40 on the ground floor.
On January 3,2012,Judge Malihi denied the request from Mr. Obama’s attorneys to dismiss the case accusing him of not being qualified to be on the ballot;and therefore,ineligible to run for President this year in Georgia. They contend that since both of his parents were not citizens,that makes him ineligible.
After filing the complaint,Mr. Weldon,contacted Liberty Legal Foundation and requested their assistance. As of December,2012,they have been representing him. The Transformational Tyrant

No man is born a murderer, or evil or cruel. In America, no man is born a king or a tyrant. Just as a man must learn to be a killer, men must teach themselves to be tyrants. Barack Obama has learned how to be a tyrant.
The proclivity was always there, along with the arrogance and narcissism. When you are better than everyone else, it is a small step to wish to reign over them as well. Yet, few expected a University of Chicago lecturer on constitutional law to decide the Constitution did not apply to him, only to mere mortals like us. After all, when speaking of George Bush in 2007, he said, "I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution.
"I refuse to take 'no' for an answer," said Barack Obama in defense of his usurpation of our Constitution, which established three coequal branches of government, sharing power, designed to impede the machinations of a transformational tyrant refusing to take "no" for an answer, or a power-drunk Congress, or an out of control judiciary.
The checks and balances codified in our Constitution are the foundation of the balance of power intrinsic to our system of government. It is an exercise in divided authority -- adversarial, confrontational and restricted.
The Constitution is meant to curtail the extremes of unbridled authority. It protects liberty by throttling the wet dreams of would be tyrants.
A constitutional law professor should know this, but Barack Obama was a Senior Lecturer, not a professor on the track to tenure. Apparently, he had no desire for the rigorous imperative of publish or perish. He had bigger plans. Why write about the Constitution, when as a tyrant, he could rewrite the Constitution?
Tyranny is so much easier; tyrants control everything and don't have to take "no" for an answer.
It was apparent from the beginning that he was uncomfortable with governing. Trying to convince others that his ideas were the best was difficult, especially since he really didn't have any new ideas. It was more satisfying for him to rule by making rules.

John McLaughlin,the moderator of his eponymous PBS program The McLaughlin Group,capped off a round of commentators’predictions with his own stunner:“Michelle Obama will run for the United States Senate in 2016 and she will be thereby mimicking,if that’s not the right word,duplicating the career of Hillary Clinton.”
McLaughlin is a well-connected pundit whose insights are as often based on inside information as whimsy or surmise. Has he heard something from someone in the know? Michelle has kept a much higher profile as first lady than her predecessor,Laura Bush. She and Valerie Jarrett continue to force the fledgling administration leftward,drowning and eventually pushing out compromisers like Rahm Emanuel and Bill Daley while emphasizing Chicago community organizer values. Most recently,she has wrapped herself in the sheltering cocoon of preferred victim status,claiming that her critics have falsely portrayed her as an “angry black woman.”
Hillary rode her status as an enabler of a serial philanderer and potential rapist into a Senate seat and came within whistling distance of becoming her party’s nominee for president of the United States in 2008. Are the Obamas planning a political dynasty? Does Mrs. Obama plan to run from,say,Carol Moseley Braun’s Senate seat to the Oval Office?
Americans have proven their affinity for political families,from the Adameses to the Harrisons,the Roosevelts to the Kennedeys,the Bushes to the Clintons. On a lighter note,the film The Distinguished Gentleman showed the value of having a familiar name.
The presidential election of 2008 may be about far more than who controls America until January 2013.

While I researched and wrote this article over the past week, The Post & Email published a story about a citizen who has challenged Mitt Romney’s eligibility for the presidency. The citizen argues that Mitt Romney’s father, George W. Romney, was a Mexican citizen according to Mexican law, by virtue of his birth in that country. The citizen further argues that it is incumbent upon Mitt Romney to prove that his father naturalized in the USA by the time of Mitt’s birth, in 1947.

SOME BACKGROUND
According to Wikipedia:

[George W.] Romney’s grandparents were polygamous Mormons who fled the United States with their children because of the federal government’s opposition to polygamy. His maternal grandfather was Helaman Pratt (1846–1909), who presided over the Mormon mission in Mexico City before moving to the state of Chihuahua and who was the son of original Mormon apostle Parley P. Pratt (1807–1857). … Romney’s parents were American citizens Gaskell Romney (1871–1955) and Anna Amelia Pratt (1876-1926); natives of Utah, they married in 1895 in Mexico and lived in Colonia Dublán, Galeana, in the Mexican state of Chihuahua (one of the Mormon colonies in Mexico) where George was born on July 8, 1907. They practiced monogamy. George had three older brothers, two younger brothers, and a younger sister. Gaskell Romney was a successful carpenter, house builder, and farmer who headed the most prosperous family in the colony.

The family returned to the USA when George was 5 years old. In the 1920 census, George W. Romney was listed with his parents, Gaskill [sic] and Anna Romney, in Rexburg City, Idaho. All members of the family were listed as US citizens. George was correctly reported as born in Mexico.
As I looked further into the issue of Mitt Romney’s eligibility, I was struck by the amazing difference in the way the media handled the dispute over George W. Romney’s natural born citizenship as compared to the massive media blackout, especially during campaign 2008, of the raging dispute about Barack Hussein Obama’s questionable natural born citizenship.
THE NEW YORK TIMES
The New York Times devoted quite a bit of space to questions surrounding George Romney’s eligibility for the presidency. One would think they’d consider the questions about Barack Hussein Obama’s eligibility as crucial for an informed electorate.
How the “Grey Lady” has fallen!
Following, in chronological order, are excerpts from stories in the New York Times about George W. Romney’s natural born citizenship:
NY Times May 15, 1967 (by Earl Caldwell)

[Democrat] Representative Emanuel Celler expressed “serious doubts” yesterday as to whether Gov. George Romney of Michigan is eligible for the Presidency. Mr. Celler called it a “wide open question” and suggested that the Republican party appoint some sort of commission to “come up with an answer to this situation. … Mr. Celler, who is chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said that although he had no plans to challenge Mr. Romney’s eligibility, the question should not be allowed to go unanswered. … Most constitutional experts have held that he is eligible since his parents were United States citizens. … The Romneys never gave up their citizenship and returned to the United States … George Romney was 5 years old. … Mr. Celler suggested that a commission to rule on Mr. Romney’s eligibility be composed of “eminent professors of law, retired jurists and lawyers.

A “wide open question” that “should not be allowed to go unanswered.”

Governor Rockefeller said yesterday that Gov. George Romney of Michigan could run for President, even though he was born in Mexico. … Rockefeller … held that the question of Governor Romney’s eligibility … was “an early case of politics. … It’s a matter of law. … Romney and all of his friends are satisfied that he is qualified. I don’t see why you need a commission.”

Governor George Romney said today that he was certain he was eligible to be President of the United States even though born in Mexico. … Former Vice President Richard M. Nixon said here last night that the Supreme Court would uphold George Romney’s eligibility to become President, even though he was born in Mexico. The Court, he said, would never interpret the Constitution as meaning that Americans born outside the United States would be barred from the Presidency.

George Romney of Michigan is constitutionally ineligible to be President because he was born in Mexico, according to a two-part article to be published next week in The New York Law Journal. … [Romney] is ineligible because he is not a “natural born citizen” says the article by Isidor Blum, a former professor of constitutional law at New York Law School. … Blum … asserts that the framers of the Constitution intended to exclude all foreign born persons from the Presidency. … Gaskell and Anna Romney were American citizens, and their son became a citizen at birth. … The issue of whether a child born of American parents abroad can become President has never been settled in the courts. In the past, the Justice Department has cited the writings of the late Edward S. Corwin of Princeton University as the best available opinion on the subject. Professor Corwin wrote that the term “natural born citizen” is “confined to persons born on the soil of a country,” … But Professor Corwin added that other legal principles stated that nationality was based on parentage. Professor Corwin concluded: “Should the American people ever choose for President a person born abroad of American parents, it is highly improbable that any other constitutional agency would venture to challenge their decision.” Blum … concludes that the framers of the Constitution meant “natural born” to mean “native born.” … One of Mr. Romney’s principal advisers said in a telephone interview … “We’ve given this a fair amount of consideration, and we’ve concluded that he is eligible for the office. Myron Kandel, editor of the paper, said he had invited a dozen lawyers and law professors to comment on Mr. Romney’s eligibility. “We think this is an extremely significant question. … This dialogue is necessary. What if Romney gets elected and the courts decide he can’t be President?”

Governor Romney said today that the question of his constitutional eligibility for office had been studied by lawyers and that he believed it posed no problem. … Governor Romney said that he did not have to file any papers to become an American citizen since both his parents had been born in the United States. …

NY Times November 4, 1967

A court test of Gov. George Romney’s legal eligibility to serve as President of the United States is expected early in the 1968 New Hampshire Republican primary campaign. If the issue is not raised by Republicans who support Richard M. Nixon or Gov. Ronald Reagan for the nomination, Mr. Romney’s backers plan to go to court themselves to try to lay the question permanently to rest. … Article II of the Federal Constitution requires that the President be a “natural-born citizen.” There has never been a legal test of whether this language would bar from the White House a child of American citizens born outside the United States. Republicans who plan to enter Mr. Romney’s name in the New Hampshire primary, the first of the campaign, early next year are confident that the courts will uphold his eligibility to serve as President. They are concerned, however, that any doubt on this score could reduce Mr. Romney’s vote in the important primary on the theory that voters might be reluctant to vote for a man who might later be disqualified by the courts. Romney supporters in the state believe that a court action may be brought by William Loeb, publisher of The Manchester Union Leader, the largest daily newspaper in the state. … If Mr. Loeb and his allies do not go to court to enjoin the New Hampshire Secretary of State from listing Governor Romney on the primary ballot, one or more of the Governor’s Republican supporters in the state almost certainly will. Mr. Romney’s legal advisers believe such an action could be brought by an individual Republican voter, rather than another candidate, and that the courts would decide it as long as the Romney forces agreed to waive any procedural objections, which they would do in the interest of a quick decision. If the lawsuit were filed immediately after the earliest date for getting on the New Hampshire ballot, Jan. 12, Romney advisers believe the State Supreme Court would rule well before the balloting March 12. … Mr. Romney is reported not to be particularly enthusiastic about the court test on the ground that it tends to interject his religion into the political arena. He is being urged, however, that it is vital to settle the eligibility question as early in the Presidential competition as possible.

‘Chihuahua Romney’?
Foreign events, usually related to the Vietnam war, have bedevilled the Presidential aspirations of Gov. George Romney of Michigan. But last week he encountered troubles in the form of another foreign event–his birth. He was born July 8, 1907, in Chihuahua, Mexico, where his American parents were living in an exile Mormon community. As the son of an American father, he was entitled by statute to American citizenship at birth. So there was no need for him to be naturalized when his parents brought him, as a small boy, to the United States. These events now seem likely to provide the first test in the nation’s history of a provision of Article II, Section I of the Constitution, which says, “No person except a natural born citizen … shall be eligible to the office of President. … Last week’s rumors from the hot-stove circuit in New Hampshire had it that both friends and foes of Mr. Romney’s candidacy are considering court tests of this issue … If the foes do not sue to keep his name off the ballot, the friends might, with the intention of putting the question permanently to rest.

NY Times November 15, 1967

A New York lawyer who has been a personal friend of Gov. George Romney for many years declares that contrary to some legal opinion the Michigan Governor is eligible to be President of the United States despite his birth in Mexico. Eustace Seligman, senior partner in Sullivan & Cromwell, makes the assertion in an article in today’s issue of the New York Law Journal. … “Nationality at birth may result from birth in a territory of the state, jure soli [by right of the soil], or from birth outside of the territory of the state to parents who are nationals of the state–referred to as nationality by blood, or jure sanguinis.” This principle, according to Mr. Seligman, establishes that the phrase “natural-born citizen” covers both categories and is not limited to birth in the United States.

NY Times January 27, 1968

Campaign aides of Gov. George Romney called today for prompt ruling by the Oregon Attorney General on whether Mr. Romney’s Mexican birth bars him from the Presidency. … The Federal Constitution requires the President to be a “natural born” citizen. The question whether this requires a candidate to be physically born in the United States has been raised repeatedly during Mr. Romney’s campaign for the Republican Presidential nomination.”

NY Times February 6, 1968

Attorney General Robert Y. Thornton refused to rule today whether Gov. George Romney was eligible to appear on the ballot in the Oregon Presidential primary. The ruling had been requested by the Secretary of State Clay Myers because of Governor Romney’s birth in Mexico. … Mr. Thornton said that Mr. Myers did not have to concern himself with the question in determining who shall appear on the ballot. In Oregon, the Secretary of State places on the ballot those persons generally advocated or recognized in the national news as candidates. In an article in The New York Law Journal last November, Eustace Seligman, senior partner in the law firm of Sullivan and Cromwell, said that Mr. Romney was eligible … despite his birth in Mexico. He cited … international law that holds that the nationality of a child born outside the parents’ country may be determined by the nationality of the parents. However, in earlier issues of the journal, Isidor Blum, a former professor of constitutional law at New York Law School, and Representative Emanuel Celler, … questioned Mr. Romney’s eligibility.”

OTHER NEWSPAPERS
The New York Times was not alone in covering the issue of George W. Romney’s natural born citizenship. The Jefferson City, Missouri, Post Tribune had this to say, way back in 1962:

Two never-defined words in the U.S. Constitution are coming up for increasing discussion as the name of George W. Romney figures in the presidential talk for 1964. The Constitution requires a president to be a “natural born” citizen of this country. Does automaker Romney, who was born in Mexico of American parents, fill this bill. Romney himself says he does not know. … Romney’s grandparents migrated from the United States to Mexico in 1886 to escape what they considered political persecution of themselves and others of their Mormon faith. Their son Gaskell was 14 at the time… It is certain that a foreign citizen is not eligible … It also is certain that a person born abroad of foreign parents but later naturalized is also ineligible. But many hold that a person born of American parents is a natural born U.S. citizen.

That story goes on to explain that Herbert Hoover, although overseas doing charitable work for years prior to his election, thus not meeting the Constitution’s 14-year residency requirement, was not challenged. The author asserts that the election of 1928 led to a consensus that the 14 years of residency need not be contiguous or immediately prior to election.
The Mansfield, Ohio, News Journal addressed the topic on May 20, 1967:

Government agencies have received so many inquiries about the meaning of the phrase “natural born citizen” in the Constitution that special studies of the matter will be issued shortly. The question arises in connection with the eligibility of George Romney to become a candidate for President. … Romney was born July 8, 1907, in Chihuahua, Mexico, 200 miles from the u.S. border. He was the son of U.S. citizens Gaskell and Anna (Pratt) Romney… When Romney was five years old, American families were expelled from Mexico by Pancho Villa … The Romneys, who finally settled in Salt Lake City, never relinquished their American citizenship. … Anybody who entertains ideas about sidetracking Romney had better begin reaching for the switch now.”

On May 24, 1967, the El Paso Herald Post had this to say:

[T]here is a chance that unless some determination is made meanwhile, the eligibility of Gov. George Romney (R., Mich.) to be President could be challenged at several points next year, beginning with the earliest presidential preference primary in New Hampshire … Any citizen, apparently, could go to court to question whether Romney — born of American parents in Mexico in 1907 — actually is a “natural born” citizen … Neither law nor the Constitution question Romney’s American citizenship because he was born of American parents. … If the challenge were not made on Romney’s entrance into a presidential primary, it might come at the time … of nomination or election. … Romney himself has announced he is not going to seek any formal inquiry on whether his birth in Mexico 50 years ago makes him ineligible for the presidency. He seems already to have concluded he is eligible.

The next day, Russell Kirk of the Danville, Virginia, Register wrote:

According to the rule in Wong Kim Ark, then, Governor Romney is a “naturalized” citizen, being born abroad of American parents who were neither diplomats nor soldiers. He is a citizen by virtue of an act of Congress that naturalizes all such children. And he is not a “natural born citizen” of the sort specified in Article III of the Constitution. The Wong Kim Ark interpretation of these terms was sustained by federal court decisions … it could be altered only by Constitutional amendment (which is most unlikely) or by a radically different interpretation of Article III by the federal courts …

Thus, this “commentator” declared that George W. Romney WAS indeed a naturalized citizen by virtue of our “favorite” ruling (once banned from mention on this blog): Wong Kim Ark! He further warned that if the issue was not settled:

… Republicans would take the dread risk of choosing a candidate who might be disqualified by the courts. Governor Nelson Rockefeller tells everybody not to worry about this trifle; Governor Romney’s staff makes confused sounds. The delegates to the Republican national convention will have to worry about all of this.”

QUESTIONS ABOUT MITT ROMNEY
More recently, Commander Charles Kerchner wrote about Mitt Romney’s eligibility:

When Mitt Romney was born in the USA in Detroit MI in 1947, his parents were both clearly recognized as being Citizens of the United States per the U. S. Nationality Act of 1940. Thus Mitt was born in the USA to parents (plural) who were both citizens of the country and Mitt is a “natural born Citizen of the United States … George Romney was a Citizen of the United States per U.S. “jus sanguinis” laws going back to the founding of our nation and also per the U.S. Nationality Act of 1940. He was born in Mexico of U.S. Citizen parents and thus George Romney is a “Citizen” at birth under U.S. laws including the U.S. Nationality Act of 1940. Detractors claim that George Romney’s parents legally renounced their U.S. citizenship while in Mexico and thus could not pass along their U.S. Citizenship by jus sanguinis to their son George Romney. There is absolutely no evidence of that. … He was recognized by all U.S. laws as a U.S. Citizen long before 1940 but the National Act of 1940 … clearly stated that people in George Romney’s status were citizens of the United States at birth. That act was adopted 7 years prior to Mitt Romney being born in Detroit MI. George Romney was not eligible. Mitt is eligible.

A recent story in the Washington Post explains that

Constitutional law experts say George Romney’s eligibility probably would be upheld today, because his parents retained their U.S. citizenship. “Otherwise, fortuity of birth circumstances might deprive the electorate of the best available candidate,” said Peter Spiro, a citizenship expert at Temple University. “But no doubt some folks would raise the question in the same way it was raised in 1968.”

MORE FACTS ABOUT GASKELL AND GEORGE ROMNEY
Gaskell Maurice Romney, George W. Romney’s father, registered for the draft during World War I. He is listed as a “native born” citizen on that registration; he was born October 20, 1897, in the USA. Therefore, according to this record in the U.S. Archives, the US government considered Gaskell Romney to be a U.S. citizen in Sept. of 1918. Since Gaskell Romney, George’s father, was a citizen during WWI, would it not appear that all of his children would also be citizens, even if through automatic naturalization, based upon the laws in effect at that time?
George W. Romney traveled extensively before Mitt Romney was born, so he must have had a U.S. passport. Was he a listed as a U.S. citizen on his passport? Most certainly he was a U.S. citizen by the time he became Governor of Michigan.

worked for Massachusetts Democratic U.S. Senator David I. Walsh during 1929 and 1930, first as a stenographer using speedwriting, then, when his abilities at that proved limited, as a staff aide working on tariffs and other legislative matters. Romney researched aspects of the proposed Hawley-Smoot tariff legislation and sat in on committee meetings; the job was a turning point in his career and gave him lifelong confidence in dealing with Congress. … When [Lenore] LaFount [his future wife], an aspiring actress, began earning bit roles in Hollywood movies, Romney arranged to be transferred to Alcoa’s Los Angeles office as a salesman. … The couple married on July 2, 1931, at Salt Lake City Temple. They would have four children: Margo Lynn (born 1935), Jane LaFount (born 1938), George Scott (born 1941), and Willard Mitt (born 1947).

If George Romney were not a citizen by 1931, wouldn’t his marriage to U.S. citizen LaFount make him so? His work for the government in DC explains why he got his Social Security number there, instead of in Michigan. He was a federal employee during the 1930s. Would he not have to be a U.S. citizen? Would not his citizenship be noted on any of the papers he filled out for the job?
George W. Romney lived in the United Kingdom, doing missionary work, prior to his work in DC. Again, what passport did he have and what citizenship did it specify?
We know from a contemporaneous news story that as of October 15 1967, George W. Romney hadn’t filed any particular papers to make himself a citizen. So all depends upon whether or not US law automatically repatriated children if their parents repatriated, or if Gaskell truly lost his citizenship when he went to Mexico. Multiple news stories state that he did not relinquish his American citizenship. It also depends upon whether or not Kerchner is correct that the U.S. Nationality Act of 1940 made George W. a naturalized citizen. In the end, George W. Romney was not nominated for the presidency.
WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE
Consider how differently the New York Times covers the issue of Obama’s ineligibility today!
To date, there are 4 stories since 1851 in their archives that mention the name Malihi (the surname of the judge in a case that seeks to keep Obama off the Georgia primary ballot because his father was never a U.S. citizen and because Obama was born a British subject). Not one of these stories concerns the ballot issue. All refer to Iranian men, not the Georgia administrative judge of the same surname.
Similarly, there are 14 articles that mention Dr. Orly Taitz. A quick examination reveals that most contain references to “birthers,” “Birther Queen,” “bleached blond,” “Republican cranks,” and “conspiracy theories.” Almost every one of the articles is on a blog or is an opinion piece, as compared to the many straight news stories that the NY Times carried about Romney, back in the 1960s. Here’s just a taste from one article:

She looks like a young Carol Channing, sounds like an overexcited Zsa Zsa Gabor, and has the ability to make absurd accusations with a completely straight face. By midsummer, Taitz was appearing regularly on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC, a decision the news channels justified with the risible pretext of needing to be fair to those on “both sides” of an issue about which there was nothing up for debate—at least not in the real world. Before long, mainstream on-air personalities like Lou Dobbs were pimping the story as hard as Taitz or any of her allies were, to equally comical effect.

So with regard to Obama’s ineligibility, there’s “nothing up for debate.” How ridiculous! Consider that unlike George Romney, nobody knows for certain where Obama was born but we do know for certain that his father was NOT a U.S. citizen and that Obama was BORN a British subject, later to become a Kenyan citizen as well as an Indonesian citizen. How do we know? Obama himself told us so.
Yet anyone who even debates Obama’s eligibility doesn’t live “in the real world.” To simply question Obama’s eligibility is “risible.” Such questions are “absurd accusations.”
Compare the tone of that article to the tone of the many news articles that warned about George W. Romney’s potential ineligibility. Consider the seriousness with which they reported the words of the many “constitutional experts” who questioned Romney’s natural born citizenship.
It’s a travesty.
Whatever came of their concern about the danger of having a president declared ineligible after the election?
In the late 1960s, the Republicans were warned of that danger by an alert media; yet in 2008, the Democrats were aided and abetted by a complicit media that ignored the questions and actually helped them to demonize the citizens who rightfully asked them.
How can we explain the difference?
Was it racism against Mexicans that caused the mainstream media to question George W. Romney’s citizenship? Was it bias against persons born in Mexico? Or was it prejudice against Romney’s Mormon religion?
These are the exact accusations thrown out by the mainstream media against those who question Obama’s eligibility. We’re excoriated and ridiculed as “birthers”. We’re called racists and bigots because, they say, we question his “citizenship”, when in actuality it’s his natural born citizenship that we question, exactly like the mainstream media questioned George W. Romney’s natural born citizenship during the 1960s.
For the record: I am not a Mitt Romney supporter. I prefer Michele Bachmann or Rick Santorum. I am, however, interested in truth and fairness. I agree that it is incumbent upon Romney to present the paperwork that will prove that he is eligible for the presidency. The same holds true for Barack Hussein Obama II, who has YET to produce a 3-D, certified, verifiable birth certificate that will show us, his employers, who he is, as well as where he was born and whether or not he meets the Constitutional requirements to be president.
