"George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped. Bush only asked for directions to the hospital then drove on. The gate guard called that "The president Is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital." The base went bananas looking for Obama. When they found it was Bush they immediately offered escort and Bush simply told them to shut up and let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead. He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House. Obama flew in days later and held a "photo" session in a gym and did not even go to the hospital."

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
Yeah! Sure! A "loyal American" who sincerely believes, according to HIS words; "... the constitution? It's just a piece of paper."
ReplyDeleteAs he then signed into law the UNconstitutional McCain-Feingold Act restricting Freedom of Speech and later the Patriot Act with its MANY attacks on individual liberty and freedoms. ... and, then, the Bush Bailouts of Sep. 2008 in which taxpaying citizens are forced to reimburse national and foreign speculators on their losses from buying junk mortgages.
Methinks the ex-Pres may have been motivated by some residual sense of guilt for having sent so many thousands into harm's way and many to their deaths on the pretext that there were WMD that has to be found and destroyed -- along with the sovereign nation as it existed.
Gimme' a break! Show the man as he TRULY is and for what HE did TO America.
Although I did not agree 100% percent with Bush's presidency, I did't disagree with going after Al Qaeda in Iraq. Saddam was a convenience. The Iraqi people thank us for removing such a brutal dictator. Irregardless of the why's that got there it was the right thing to do. Saddam opened the door by not obeying UN resolutions etc. etc.
ReplyDeleteWe put the Muslim world on notice we will go after Al Qaeda where ever we find them. If they don't want us in their land they should rid the terrorists themselves.
No matter how many reasonable arguments I give you, it's doubtful I would ever sway your mind that the enemies of our nation need to be removed by the best means. If some toes get stepped on so be it. Patriot Act included.
Obama is a usurper. The military hates him. He is unamerican. You are a mindless drone.
