Anybody Ever See "The Caine Mutiny " ?

In Afghanistan during the recent fighting in Helmond Province, the Marines had extremely strict Rules of Engagement placed upon them, ostensibly to lessen civilian casualties. One rule required not firing on any house that "may" contain civilians, even if a Taliban fighter was observed firing from the house. A second rule was a suspected Taliban fighter could not be fired upon if he was unarmed, even though he was observed firing earlier.

There were cases of Taliban sometimes using women and children as human shields, or just firing from dwelling windows on our troops, then dropping their weapon and walking away off the battlefield, scot free. After they ran out of ammunition I suppose.

These rules of engagement have come from the top. Obama.

Every one of us, are quasi military. If we live within the US borders we are at risk of attack. Be it a formal attack by another sovereign country or a band of rogues.

Al Qaeda would use any weapon at their disposal to destroy as many Americans as possible. They do not care what party affiliation you might be, they want your blood.
There are a few nations too that very easily could fall into that mindset. N.Korea, Iran, The Venezuela Junta. Sudan, The Somalia Rabble, or many Factions of Arabs and Muslims from Indonesia to Nigeria.

There was speculation Bin Laden never repeated 911 while Bush was in office because Bush let it discretely be known the holy site of Mecca would be our first target. Never know what a gunslinger from Texas might do? And that's the point.

Obama in his announcement today regarding a rethinking of our retaliatory strike options, has served notice to those who would harm us, certain weapons of mass destruction will not trigger an unholy response from the United States. The fear of the unknown by our enemies has served the nation well, when it has come to dealing with tinpots and genocidal dictators.

If you were to confront a pack of thugs, you wouldn't announce how many bullets you've got in your gun or where you intend to place them, foot or head. You surely would want to leave a little to the imagination. Some thugs would reconsider their options.

Obama is helping them out.

The security of our nation is at stake. At any time when a military leader demonstrates he is unfit to command, those under him can remove him and take his place as commander.

Below is some information about how many General Officers we have in the military service. Some 877 in all branches. Forty of these are 4 star Generals. These so called Flag officers need to apply the Military Code of Justice, pertaining to incompetence. We all are at risk while this amateur has his hand on the tiller.

Helluva way to run a railroad.
