This all could have been avoided BEFORE the election, because it was well known that Obama was evading this controversy back in Aug. 2008. The Congress, Senate, Supreme Court, the media and Joint Chiefs ALL ignored the calls and lawsuits to investigate Obama's natural born citizen status, before Obama was elected in November. If a civil war erupts, the blame goes directly on THEIR HANDS for their disregard for the U.S. constitution.
The communists and the media vermin know everything about Sarah Palin and Tiger Woods, but this topic is untouchable? This is a criminal conspiracy and constitutional crisis; many people in both parties need to be investigated and charged.

With all due respect, sir, may I suggest t hat rather than investigating Lt. Col. Lakin, an honorable, patriotic officer, who was required to show his birth certificate before deployment, you investigate Barack Obama (aka Barry Soetoro), who, to date, has refused to produce his.
When I enlisted in 1963, I had to produce my long form birth certificate. You did, too. Why, then, does this standard not apply to the man acting as Commander in Chief?
An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
