Biden Says Cheney Is Misinformed Or Misleading
Vice President Joe Biden is dismissing his predecessor's criticism of the Obama administration's commitment to fighting terrorism, saying bluntly that Dick Cheney is either misinformed or is misinforming.
In an interview airing Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," Biden said he thinks Cheney doesn't listen to the facts and is trying to rewrite history.
Cheney maintains that the Obama administration is failing to treat the battle against terrorism as war.
But Biden says Cheney's criticism rings false.
Under President Barack Obama's direction, Biden says, the U.S. has been more successful at killing off al-Qaida leaders and their followers than it was during the years George W. Bush and Cheney sat in the White House.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
