Who are the Fox sell-outs?...

Fox bought by Saudi's

Money Talks

By Bob Beers Thursday, February 18, 2010

Those conservatives upset at others of their philosophy seeming to turn on Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and others for simply being employees of Fox need to do some digging into their recent history. What change in the message coming from these apparent bastions of conservative thought has occurred over the past couple of months? Who in the talk radio line up has shifted to a “more moderate” turn of phrase when discussing the actions of the Middle Eastern States? You may be surprised, you may not.

Overnight conversion from Tea Party supporter to now suspicious outsider and cautious supporter of Obama

Fox’s Sean Hannity still speaks about the dangers of radical Islam, but you have to search long and hard to find any disparagement of Saudi Arabia’s form of the religion. What you don’t have to search for is his seemingly overnight conversion from Tea Party supporter to now suspicious outsider and cautious supporter of Obama.

Glenn Beck, once a sure disparager of anything Obama, now has no problem dissing anyone voicing suspicion over the legitimacy of Obama’s claimed US birth. He now uses the same term the Democrats use to belittle those citizens’ concerns, “birthers”. If Beck does indeed have proof of Obama’s yet-to-be proffered birth certificate, he hasn’t shared it with his audience. If my once favorite conservative talker continues on his leftward slide, he may as well take the place of Hannity’s long lost Alan Combes as the counterpoint to Hannity’s point.

So why the change? Perhaps they are the “change” in Obama’s “hope and change” message. If so, what created this change? Sadly, it happens to be something as crass and basic as…money. There is a passage in the bible that deals with the root of evil. A lot of people misstate it by quoting it as, “Money is the root of all evil”, but it is actually, “The LOVE of money is the root of all evil”. It goes along to add in, “the pride of life and the concerns of the world…”

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a member of Saudi Arabia’s ruling family, has made himself the second-largest shareholder of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., Fox News Channel’s parent company. Check out this link for a background story on this fellow.

When the time came to either stand up for their ideals or take the cash…they took the cash

Here is the problem as I see it. Far too often I have watched both men and women I thought had a decent core of honest integrity sell what essentially amounted to their souls for monetary security. When the time came to either stand up for their ideals or take the cash…they took the cash. A lot of these people are still in office.

Both Beck and Hannity are employees of News Corp through Fox News. I would wager that both hosts have received directives from on high to soft peddle the Obama legitimacy angle and to also separate Fox from the Tea Party Movement, if not downright trash it. It is extremely likely that Obama is not only in contact with Bin Talal, but a drinking buddy. Any one who knows the Saudi Royals also knows that they are some of the least celibate and heaviest imbibers around, especially when in the presence of American ”royalty”. They have a choice to do what they are ordered or be fired. If it was me, I’d find another job, especially if I had their retirement accounts.

What makes this theory even more plausible is the utter lack of participation by non-Fox conservatives in this sudden shift of priorities by the Fox hosts. Savage, Coulter, Levin and others have not let up on Obama and the POTUS’ questionable status. Remember, the Obama team has yet to even dignify the question with a shred of proof as to his American birth. On the other hand, there is far too much evidence to the contrary to ignore the question. If the suspicion is unfounded, prove why. I have consistently pointed out that this column operates on evidence and logic. Of course, liberals have yet to use either in their feeble attempts to prove a point, but one can still hope.

Hey Glen. Don’t sell out. It really isn’t worth it.
