Let Them Eat Cake

Meanwhile, while Americans rallied at more than 800 Tax Day protests today, Obama visited singer Gloria Estefan's Miami Beach mansion for a $30,400-a-couple cocktail reception fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee following a visit to the Kennedy Exploration Center earlier in the day.

He joined yet another DNC fundraiser tonight and credited his economic recovery package with saving two million American jobs and cutting taxes for families, small businesses and students, Fox News reported.

Then he took a jab at the thousands of Americans who turned out in droves at the Tax Day rallies.

"I've been a little amused over the last couple of days where people have been having these rallies about taxes," he said. "You would think they'd be saying thank you."

Yes very funny. An income tax increase because the Bush cuts aren't going to be retained, a talked about $.15 a gallon increase in federal taxes, a VAT tax in the works, and a CAP and TRADE climategate hoax to tax energy. Not to mention wanting to tax everything from tanning beds to soda. A HealthCare plan that will tax every employer in the country.

Quite a guy!

Those getting taxed don't have much thanks, but the ones with their hands out sure like it.

Here's a flash- If the working poor don't earn enough to pay any taxes, maybe they should try putting in 40 hours a week, instead of 5 or 10. Hanging out on the street corner never pays the light bill unless you're selling drugs. Oh yeah, that's non taxable work too.
