A Step In The Wrong Direction
Congress passed their revised Heath Care Bill 220 to 215. 39 Democrats voted against. The Republicans had 1 defector who broke ranks and voted with the Democrats.
This was a lost opportunity to kill the bill, but it is not the final opportunity. Now the Senate gets to vote on their Bill, some say not until after the first of the year.
Yet another opportunity, one issue among many, that will drive the 2010 elections, will be flipping the House, so the Bill can be REPEALED, should it pass, sometime before 2013, when it is scheduled to take effect. However your taxes will be going up, as the prior Bill, called for a 3 year advanced collection of premiums.
Yes that's right, in a down economy, America will earn the privilege to prepay for 3 years in advance, while you struggle to meet your current household budgets.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
