From a patriot in Florida...

I give thanks for our soldiers...
and when I can, I do something for them. Whether it's stopping them to say "God bless and keep you. Thank you for your service" or buying a cup of coffee at the local convenience store, I want so much to let them know how wonderful they are.

Then I watch the fools in Washington waste time getting them the needed backup troops because it might not be considered politically correct by whomever they are trying to please this week, and I wonder, do our troops have any reason to be thankful for us?

We have a volunteer military. How remarkable with the stupidity coming from our leaders that anyone wants to risk their lives for our country. Yet, although they are condemned, called every name under the sun, put on trial for doing their duty, and having the rules of engagement changed every day, these men and women continue to volunteer to save our sorry hides.

When will we march on Washington in sufficient numbers to get the President's and Congress' attention? When will we demand our military be treated with at least the same respect we give to the terrorists? While our leaders protect the 'rights' of murderers whose own leaders think beheading is the way to go, and bow and apologize to every other world leader except our allies, they treat our military as though they have some awful disease.

God Bless Own Military. May those on Capitol Hill one day be half as admirable as those they send to war. Today, our leaders condemn our soldiers while our enemies look on with huge smiles as America sinks into the political swamp.
