The self-deluding presidency...Why it will fail...
ObamaCare’s passage just reinvigorates, although in an important way, the accelerating and overwhelming conviction growing in the people of this country that the President they foolishly gave the benefit of the doubt in November of 2008 has not met those benefits, and that he is now demonstrating, without a shadow of a doubt, that he is driven by flawed and troubling policy and philosophical fundamentals. The people now understand that these Obama fundamentals are contrary to those in which this nation was built, and it contradicts almost all of the precepts inherited from our founding fathers.
That is why the radical Obama Presidential experiment will fail.
It won’t be by the actions or attacks from Republicans, and much less by their desire for his failure, or because of any "right-wing" conspiracy, which the Republicans are not capable of pulling off if they are held by the hand of Machiavelli. Obama will fail by his own extremism; his anti-capitalism; his anti free markets; his anti free trade; his dependence of big government; his "redistribution of wealth" philosophy; and his blind priority in “equality” at the cost of “freedom”. In one word; his anti-Americanism.
It is all aided and abated by his own personal intellectual dishonesty and character flaw when it comes to leveling with the American people. His incapacity to admit that history has shown this same road has been traveled in the past by other people and other nations, and that it all ended in tragic failure. He is blind to history. He possesses an extraordinary natural and intuitive disrespect for the factually exact and the morally honest, coupled with a capacity and willingness to distort the truth in a grandiose belief that sophistry and equivalency can ride him through any challenges. He wants to change history, including the one already written.
Not a single one of these "attributes" could be concocted or even dreamed up by his Republican opposition, much less all of them in one package. This is what will prove to be a bonanza for conservatives. On all fronts – domestic, economic, foreign policy, and character - Obama fails or will fail on his own.
This character and philosophical discovery of Obama is now going on as we speak. It is permeating the non-fanatical political classes (those that elected him in 2008) to the point where they are becoming immune to the extraordinary qualities of demagoguery of the President. The people are now deeply aware of his triangulation, sophistry and double-talk. The people has been suckered and they now know it.
Obama is profoundly wrong to believe that a win – as in the case of Healthcare – is always remembered as a win without regard to the means used to get that win. In most cases we would tend to agree with him. This time and this win are different. Lenin said, “the end justifies the means”, and he was proven wrong many millions of lives and too many years of waste later. Lenin ruined a country. Obama says, “It is the win that counts, nobody will remember the process”. He is also wrong, for the process is the blood of freedom that runs through a democracy and through a free nation.
It will be remembered, and it should be remembered, if we are to remain prosperous and free.
