The Voiceless Victims
Because of the oil spill and high unemployment, I'm hearing very sad stories of parents worried about feeding their children. I am also hearing about a trend of giving up the family pet and in some cases just jettisoning these animals onto the streets.
People, especially children should rightfully have first priority, but let's not forget about our hairy little animal friends. Consider adopting a shelter animal or take in a friend's pet as a temp situation if you can.
This post is for them.

SAY WHAT?!! Obama's a Commie???!!!!
Wasn't my fault- Bush did it.
Yes, but will you still love me when I'm old and gray?

Steve, thank you for speaking up for our pets. We love them and it breaks our hearts to think what may happen to them. Great pics and captions too.
