Bobby Jindal: 'I'm Not Running in 2012Monday, 18 Oct 2010 03:22 PM
"I'm not running in 2012,” Jindal said during a visit to Salient Surgical Technologies. “We have a lot more work to do [in Louisiana]."Some political insiders believe Jindal may be on a short list of possible vice-presidential running mates in 2012, while others think he may even run against Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., in 2014. For his part, Jindal said he is focused only on supporting fiscally conservative candidates in the midterm elections and his re-election campaign in 2011.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
Well, I'm glad someone's paying attention!! I don't know how many sources I've read that have recommended Jindal for prez, and it's driving me crazy. I LOVE Bobby Jindal, and think he would make a terrific prez. He's a great leader, as he proved during the Gulf oil spill. Unfortunately, as you say, he's not eligible under the Constitution.
