3 Lies

I've heard three basic liberal economic lies espoused from the liberal top to the liberal bottom all of which are complete fallaceies and easily debunked by expansion.

1) We can spend our way into prosperity.

2) Printing money doesn't harm the deficit

3) Unemployment spending is the quickest way to stimulate the economy, for every dollar of unemployment pay, economists tell us two dollars are returned to the economy.

The first postulate is Obama's, the second a man on the street Obamaist's, and the last belongs to Nancy Pelosi.

Between these three economic wizards we now have the formula to solve the economic crisis in America all without having to work.

First we should raised the average weekly unemployment benefit from it's measley $300 per week to let's say $30,000 per week. According to Pelosi we could expect $60,000 in economic return. Does it not beg the basic question, if that is so, then why do any us work if collecting an unemployment check is the way to go in solving things?

Accordingly the Odingbat on the street, has assured us, printing unlimited paperbacks isn't harmful. We could all be phat with Obama money, as much as we can carry. I wonder what our foreign creditors think of that concept? Perhaps they would look as dismaly on this idea, as my current bank would if I were to write $1000 dollars in checks, on an account balance of $100 dollars. It would all be good though if my banker would just accept my check for $900 drawn on my empty account on the bank across town. Some might call this Kiting. Obama and his legions call it economic policy. But the funny money joke is on us.

The Congress has been doing what Obama prescribes by attempting to spend our way into prosperity, but we now non workers could lend a hand if instead of each of us passing $30,000 a week through our mits, if we match that amount with our chinese credit cards, we should double the pace to recovery. Recovery to what?

As none of us are now working, all of our goods and services will have to be packed in from other countries. On the bright side we could turn the tables on these foreign polluters and claim a redistribution of their wealth for fouling our now pristine air. But alas since we would have no military to back up our demands, China and the rest would most likely tell us to redistribute their middle finger.

To believe such economic nonsense is akin to stepping off a sheer 1000 foot cliff and celebrate the fall. But none of these people who call Obama leader seem to have the brains to think about the terminal six inches of the trip.
