Well He's Doing The Best He Can -- Bush Caused All Of This

Bush caused the 9/11 attacks, Bush crippled several industries immediately following those attacks, Bush spent excessively going to war against Al Qaeda, Bush lavished Homeland Security with all kinds of money and added to the costs. Bush staggered the economy by allowing Freddie and Fannie to relax mortgage loan requirements to the point liar loans went unscrutinized by the banks because they were ordered to issue loans to unqualified and uncreditworthy individuals.

Bush wasn't perfect, but the litany of lies used against him from 9/11 was an inside job, to the WND wild goose chase do not explain the full extent of the deficit spending laid at his feet. Clinton has been held up as the model for economic perfection. Clinton produced a net surplus. The national debt was actually going down.

Clinton took a 600 ship navy, and mothballed almost half the fleet. Our Air Force has about 150 B52 bombers, an airframe whose last unit came off of the assembly line in the late 1950's. The aerial refueling tankers that services these bombers and the fighter fleet are just as decrepit as the B52s. Our ground forces have not built an upgrade to the M1 tank since it last rolled off the assembly line in the late 1980's.

Yes Clinton produced a net surplus, but he did it at the cost of national security. The peace dividend is what it was called, gutting the military and intelligence services is a better term. Lowering our collective national security guard is the result, a failure of Presidential Job One.

When we were attacked on 9/11 was our military ready to respond? The few that were in the service were, but only for a short period. The services almost collapsed from exhaustion in keeping 100,000 troops functioning 6000 miles from home. The troops themselves were exhausted from call ups and redeployment after redeployment.

Clinton didn't get our economic house in order, he left a disaster in waiting for the next guy. Clinton didn't address the growing terror issue. His Somalia policy only got a lot of brave Army Rangers burned and dragged through the streets of Mogadishu. Sudan's harboring of Bin Laden after the 94 first attempt on the World Trade centers got a total response of two cruise missiles. The guy named George Bush walked into a maelstrom nine months after he took office in January 2001. Al Qaeda was active not only in many African countries, it had spread to the Arabian peninsula Pakistan, Afghanistan, Thailand Indonesia and the Philippines. The peace dividend also came at the expense of our intelligence services.

Domestically people gathered paper wealth, they became "on paper" millionaires as they speculated on the dot com bubble, and played ponzi schemes with their homes in the real estate market. All the while our job bases were being outsourced, shipped out or shut down by NAFTA.

Clinton built a house of cards, that began falling apart on Bush'e watch. Obama using many of the same people from the Clinton era, is continuing the wrecking job, while he calls it social progress. Nineteen months into his regime's tenure the economy has spun wheels, During the Christmas hiring season, unemployment actually increased from 9.6 to 9.8 per cent. The government added 50,000 jobs and the private sector lost 11,000 for a net gain of 39,000 jobs in November. To sustain the basic growth in workforce due to a growing population we must produce 250,000 jobs a month. Obama's efforts are barely a sixth of what is needed just to keep from falling further behind. At the current pace the 15 million unemployed can expect to find a job,32 years from today. (15000000/39000=384 months 384/12=32 years). Today's college graduate aged 21 can expect to find his first job at age 53, 15 years shy of the age for collecting social security. The current generation has no worries about having two of them pay for one baby boomer's benefits. Actually it's the other way around, it's the Baby Boomer's who are having to support the unemployed students.

Either way you look at it, it sucks. The Obama believers refuse to say so outside their circle, but just like the AmVet executive (who was recently laid off) they are saying they are exhausted from living the Obama lie. The November low election turn out by the dems underscores the point. The rebuked Obama dutifully accepted his shellacking, pledged a new era of bipartisanship (now that his so called mandate had evaporated) yet two days past Monday's meetings with the new Congressional leadership, Obama is back to ignoring the will of the people on the tax cut extension issue. Any anticipated Clintonesque movement to the center has been answered this week. Obama if anything will move further Left as he tries to rule by Executive Order during Congressional recesses.

The latest news has Obama on a surprise visit to Afghanistan. A planned 6 hour visit. Due to poor weather conditions the 6 hour visit will be curtailed and the planned face to face meeting with Gen. Patreus and Afghan leader Karzai with be video conferenced. Wasn't Obama in India on November 6th ? Couldn't this trip's meeting have taken place during the early November trip? Perhaps the chances for a sudden change in the weather would have been less at that time. What this points out is a lack of planning and foresight. Obama's travel plans are just as disjointed and ineffective as is his domestic policies, but you'll never hear his mindless supporters admit to that publicly as the stand in line for their unemployment checks for the next 32 years.
