LAKIN COURT-MARTIAL UPDATES...A big thank you to obamareleaseyourrecords

UPDATES , DAY 2:

11:20 - Via Baltimore Sun; Defense lawyers declined to call any witnesses today in the court-martial of an Army doctor who disobeyed orders to deploy to Afghanistan because he questioned President Barack Obama's eligibility for office. In the second day of the trial in a military court at Fort Meade, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin's defense rested without calling any witnesses, including him, to testify. Source.

11:30 - CAAFlog is reporting that Pastor Manning left the courtroom escorted by security and has not returned... -update- While attending the Lt Col Terry Lakin trial I(Manning) was detained by military police and threatened with trespassing charges here in Ft Meade Md. We were interrogated for nearly three hours, searched, ask to sign statements and read the Miranda right . They placed us in separate rooms. They released us after the trial was over. More details to come later today. -Source.

2:30 - Commander Charles Kerchner and Dr.Kate on the Peter Boyles radio show: LTC Lakin Court-Martial Update, 12/15/10...

2:38 - Stars and Stripes(pretty bias report); Supporters of the “birther” movement are labeling the court-martial of Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin another success for their cause, even as their latest hero faces dismissal from the Army and jail time — and the judge blocked any real mention of their message. “This isn’t a failure. Any news is better than no news,” said Charles Kerchner Jr., a retired Naval Reserve commander who identifies himself as a “constitutionalist” instead of a birther. “If we’d have given up, no one would be talking about this now. The truth always wins. The truth is going to be found out.” ...Lakin’s brother Greg called the court-martial process disheartening but not discouraging for his family. Greg Lakin, an attorney, has also petitioned Obama to release proof that he was born in Hawaii. “We had hoped more would come out of this,” he said. “The frustrating thing is that Obama could clarify this today. He could come down here today and settle this once and for all. This issue is not going to go away.” For his guilty pleas, Lakin could face up to 18 months in prison. A conviction on the other charge could add another two years. All of the charges also carry the possibility of dismissal from the Army and forfeiture of his pay and benefits. ...Final deliberations and sentencing for Lakin were expected to wrap up Wednesday afternoon. -Source.

4:00 - LTC Terry Lakin found guilty on all counts... next is sentencing... Via WND; Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, the officer who raised questions about Barack Obama's eligibility to be president only to be struck down by a military court's banishment of evidence about his concerns, has been convicted of the most serious charge he faced, missing a flight scheduled to take him to a new assignment. ...The possible penalties include dismissal as well as up to 42 months in prison. Lakin openly admits he willfully chose to disobey orders to deploy to Afghanistan over concerns that his orders were not lawful. Lakin is not sure whether President Barack Obama is a legitimate commander-in-chief of the armed forces because Obama has failed to prove he is eligible under the U.S. Constitution to occupy the Oval Office. Lakin deliberately exposed himself to a court martial in the hope of forcing Obama, during the "discovery" process, to prove he is eligible to serve as president by producing identity documents including his birth certificate. Lakin hoped the documents would establish whether Obama is a "natural born Citizen," as required of any American president by Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution. -Source.

4:15 - CAAFlog(anti-Lakin) reports; The prosecution played in its entirety LTC Lakin’s YouTube video announcing his plans to refuse to deploy. At the conclusion of the tape, the birthers in the audience stood and gave sustained applause. The military judge did not gavel the court to order; she simply let them finish.

stay tuned for more updates...
