An open letter to America

                                                                                 

 WHAT PRICE A PRESIDENCY ?

 

Background: I have done Catholic writing for twenty years. Two years ago I started writing of challenges to Barack Obama's "presumed" eligibility to seek the Office of President of the United States. In answer to a friend who asked if I had stepped into the political arena I replied:"no-Obama stepped into the "Religious arena" when he said (among other things) that he had no problem with leaving a child born after a "botched" abortion to die, if its mother so wished! After the election more information surfaced casting further doubt on his eligibility and the door, which I thought closed on Election Day, was found still ajar, giving me the opportunity to renew challenging him on the eligibility issue. A common practice of Obama's eligibility defenders has been to claim anyone challenging him is racially motivated. A poor defence because many blacks, including Alan Keyes,who currently has a lawsuit against Obama's eligibility, and black organizations which are also challenging his eligibility are obviously not racially-motivated, nor are my writings. "Stimulus" packages, Czars,etc. are not mentioned by me: only Presidential eligibility is, and will be, until Truth is served.

     Amen to the above quote, which fittingly applies to the person being quoted by Newsday....Barack Obama. Consider the following examples: When people challenged his eligibility Obama posted on a website a "purported" copy of his Hawaiian Dept.of Health Birth Certificate to silence them. What he actually posted was a pathetic example of a "Certification of Live Birth" (COLB),a limited document which, even if authentic, only bestows a "naturalized" citizenship status at best.He also claimed his "Certification" was a true copy of the Hawaiian Health Dept.copy. If so, that would make both documents COLBS and both unacceptable for a Presidential aspirant who must be a "natural-born" American citizen and possess a "Certificate of Live Birth". (U.S. Constitution-Article 2, Section 1).If the Health Dept. copy is truly a "Certificate of Live Birth" it obviously contains information which would deny Obama access to the Presidency, hence his insistence that it not be revealed. Obama's document had the birth certificate number "blacked out" and the following information was conspicuously absent: Birth Hospital, Attending Physician Name and birth witnesses names; information which could prove or disprove his claim of eligibility. A 1961 "Certificate of Live Birth" contained approx.41 questions, including those enumerated above. Obama's COLB had approx. 13 questions! Realizing his attempt to deceive America with his COLB could backfire Obama quickly shut the window of transparency. From then on, he has refused to allow any documents regarding his birth, schooling, visa,etc. to be disclosed to the American people.The discredited COLB is still the document which his defenders falsely cite as proof of his eligibility! Obama has spent over two million dollars to keep the truth hidden. His actions have cost the taxpayers millions in court cases which could easily have been settled by transparency.

 

     "Globe" Magazine's offer to donate $100,000 to the United Negro College Fund if Obama disclosed the Hawaiian Health Dept birth certificate copy was met with complete silence, a favorite mode of communication by Obama when he feels threatened. It seem "Globe" underestimated the price for viewing his records. Sorry, students, but it looks like you were not worth it.

 

                                                                                         

MEDIA COMPLICITY IN COVERUP

 

     Fear of disclosure of Obama's true eligibility status has permeated the Mainstream Media. For almost two years they have been silent on this issue, obviously under orders. Even the Fox Network, though vocally critical of the "Stimulus" plans, "Czar" appointees,etc., will not acknowledge the existence of eligibility lawsuits presently in the courts. If Fox News ownership has "muzzled" its commentators their silence might be understood, though not appreciated, but when Bill O'Reilly falsely claimed to have seen the Hawaiian Health Dept.'s copy of Obama's birth certificate(never disclosed by Obama), and also said that newspaper birth announcements clippings(routinely prepared & submitted by family) were proof -positive of "natural-born" births he demeaned the intelligence of his viewers and damaged his own credibility, a credibility which can be restored by admitting that his defense of Obama was not based on facts but on suppositions or restraints. Every night O'Reilly remains silent on the current military courts-martial proceedings taking place agains Lieut.Colonel Terrence Lakin for questioning Obama's eligibility. I wonder if Col.Lakin feels like a forgotten man when O'Reilly ends each show with "We're looking out for you" and how would the Media report the outcome of Col.Lakin's trial? If found innocent would their byline read "Rumor of Army Colonel's disobedience unfounded" or, if found guilty, "Fort Meade Army Colonel transferred to Leavenworth,Kansas"?

 

                                                                                            QUESTIONS WHICH ANSWER THEMSELVES

 

     If the Hawaiian Birth Certificate copy would confirm Obama's Presidential eligibility (as he claims) why hasn't a single Democrat asked him to release it?

 

     When Obama's attorneys appear in court why is it that they never produce a copy of the Hawaiian Birth Certificate copy in Obama's defense?

 

     Some argue that if Obama was found guilty of fraudulently obtaining the Presidency he should remain in office to prevent "black" riots. If a Caucasion was elected and exposed under a similar scenario should he or she also retain the Office to prevent Caucasion riots?

 

     How can Obama consider running for re-election in 2012 knowing his "vetting" (subverted in 2008) would still be required anew and this time, thanks greatly to the heroism of Col.Lakin,all Americans will be aware of the difference between "Certification of Live Birth" and "Certificate of Live Birth".?

 

     When Obama defenders mention Courts dismissing eligibility lawsuits why is it they fail to qualify their remarks by acknowledging the dismissals were primarily on the basis of the "standing" of plaintiffs but never on the merits of the eligibility issue itself?

 

                                                                                              

  A MOMENT OF TRUTH

 

     Col.Lakin wrote two letters (both unanswered) to Obama, explaining why he felt obligated to request proof of his "natural-born" status. By not responding Obama allowed the Colonel's request for transparency to be ignored and his military trial to commence. Earlier, I cited examples of measures which Obama took to preserve his secrecy, from knowingly posting an inadequate "birth" certificate on the Web, to declaring all his records, from birth to the present, off llimits to America. Now, however, he has sunk to a new low. His mantra has become "VICTORY AT ANY COST", therefore he has no qualms about destroying eighteen years of faithful service by Colonel Lakin who now faces possible imprisonment and financial ruin for standing up while his Country is falling down. Obama talked Afghanistan while Colonel Lakin walked Afghanistan, serving God, Country and his fellow countrymen and women and receiving a Bronze Star in recognition of his efforts.

Obama recently said "I can't spend all of my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead." No one asked him to. If he would simply have Hawaii send their copy to Fort Meade in Maryland for presentation to Colonel Lakin's Courts-Martial Board justice could be served. Ironically, Robert Gibbs, Obama's public relations representative, after receiving two of my letters (pertaining solely to the eligibility issue) declined receiving more, saying:"I'm not interested in your topics". Funny, I would think the topic of Presidential legitimacy would interest him. It certainly interested our Founding Fathers.                                                                                  

CONCLUSION

 

I see three choices confronting Obama: 1.Silence; 2.Allowing conviction and subsequent pardon of Col.Lakin, without disclosing the Hawaiian birth certificate; or 3. Complete disclosure by Obama. The first two would serve Obama while the third would serve our Nation. Which will Obama choose?
