The Economy, Obama
Whilst passing all blame to Bush for all negative economic news, Obama's sense of fair play only goes so far. Desperate for any inkling of good economic news Obama grasps at the slowing of the rate of unemployment as rosettic stone proof his policies are working. Oh really? August durable goods orders are down, and have been for several months. New home sales are lower yet prices are starting to trend upward. (could this be a foreshadowing of the impact of a devalued dollar more so than inflation?) The classic definition of inflation is- when you have too many dollars chasing too few goods. Does that sound like the typical American, too many somebodies armed with too much money, that prices are driven up for the goods they seek? I go with devalued currency. Talk about the chickens coming home to roost...
As far as the slowing of unemployment, the late months of the 3rd quarter and the entire 4th quarter are the boom months in America. Tis the season, stuff. Retailers are holding on to employees so that they have a trained workforce ready for the holiday buying time. Inventories are in transit, shelve space is being planned, advertising is being set, and so forth. Obama will revel at the new temps being hired but don't be mistaken. Christmas, excuse me, Man Made Holiday Sales, will be down. Way Down. January is going to be blacker, than February's Black History month. We are going to see more layoffs and new Retailers going under.
No new taxes? Dream on. China will expect their interest payments, and they aren't going to accept Obama's monopoly funny money. How is he going to pay the debt service (interest) on the national debt? TAXUS our new 51st state. The impact of multi-trillion dollar deficits will start taking hold and reverberating throughout our economy. Interest rates will go up due to the unavailability of credit. What will industry do? Produce less, employ less, leave. Selling each other sandwiches isn't going to cut it folks. Our economy must be an exporting economy. We are 8 months into the usurpers term. Where are the "green jobs"? Van Jones did nothing but rail against Whitey and call for reparations. Has Obama made us one ounce less energy dependent on foreign oil? Cash for clunkers was financial pork roast for the unions. 700,000 clunker gas burners traded for 700,000 new ethylene clunkers, 50% better at combustion. The $4500 spent per swap, will take ten years to recoup based on improved mpg savings. A show of hands please, How many of you own the same car for 10 yrs? That's what I thought. Some Plan eh What!! Does anyone know what the Being of Light's Messiahanic Energy Plan really is?? Cap and Crap doesn't count- that's a tax scheme not an energy plan. It's got to be more than new light bulbs, single ply toilet paper, and proper tire inflation. I declare, otherwise words such as crazy, nutjob, certifiable would be in play right? Cass Sunstein wants to redistribute America's wealth to the underdeveloped nations. A single carbon tax credit sales for 20 cents I'm told. So Dow Chemical is going to cut a check to a fellow over in Botswana for messing up his share of the Earth's atmosphere, fine. Okay where is the tax on that Botswanian for being a drag on the developed nations of the world. We have to pay umpteen dollars to ship that asshole food because he never learned to plant a seed other than in his wife. Lunacy utter Lunacy.
