BETWEEN THE LINES
Bill Ayers is back!
Exclusive: Joseph Farah declares Obama flat-out lied about his ties to terrorist
By Joseph Farah
"He's just a guy who lives in the neighborhood."
That was the lie Barack Obama told about his relationship with unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers during the presidential campaign.
Apparently most people believed it.
Few of my colleagues in the news media deemed the connection between a leading presidential candidate and a seething-with-rage, violent, hard-core, communist revolutionary of any consequence.
Obama won the election. His opponent, John McCain, seemed nervous about even mentioning Bill Ayers and his significant terrorist other, Bernardine Dohrn, an admirer of Charles Manson's grisly fork murders.
I hate to say it, but I told you so.

I knew the connection was strong.
We reported exclusively – way back in February 2008 – how Obama and Ayers worked together.
We reported how Obama held his first state Senate political fundraiser in the home of Ayers and Dohrn.
We reported how Obama tried to block legally the airing of a McCain TV ad linking him with Ayers.
We reported how the Obama campaign scrubbed the blog postings of a close Ayers associate from its website to minimize the connection.
We reported how Obama actually cited his job with Ayers as a qualification for being president.
And, perhaps most interestingly of all, we chronicled in WND, columnist Jack Cashill's persuasive series of articles on the probability that Ayers actually ghostwrote Obama's autobiography.
Yesterday, of course, another prominent journalist, Christopher Andersen, author of the new book, "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage," came to the same conclusion as Cashill – announcing his findings to Sean Hannity on Fox News.
Why is this latest development so significant?
Because, if it is true – and I believe it is – it confirms Obama lied boldly and blatantly about something so significant during the campaign. It would also confirm Obama as a close associate and trusted friend to one of the most despicable America haters on planet Earth.
You just don't hire anyone to collaborate with you on your autobiography. You only choose someone you trust, someone who thinks like you, someone who really knows you and your innermost convictions and shares them.
The evidence is mounting that Obama selected Bill Ayers.
While we were reporting all this last year, my colleagues were describing Ayers as "an anti-war activist."
He was hardly "an anti-war activist." He was part of the leadership of an organization whose commitment was to make war on the United States of America – as they explained it, "to bring the war home."
Ayers, Dohrn and the Weather Underground did that through armed bank robberies, through bombings of the U.S. Capitol and dozens of other targets, through the murder of a San Francisco policeman and through the open advocacy of a reign of terror that went on for more than a decade.
That's what he did. And he got away with it. He got away with murder.
As he put it not too long ago: "Guilty as hell. Free as a bird. America is a great country."
Obama's justification for a long and intimate working relationship with Ayers is that he was only 8 years old when Ayers performed his infamous deeds in behalf of an international communist revolution that literally declared war on America.
Actually, however, what Obama means is that Ayers and Dohrn began their terrorist attacks when he was about 8 years old. But these most-wanted fugitives who attacked the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, police stations and other targets continued until Obama was 20 years old!
Ayers and Dohrn didn't turn themselves in until 1980. At least one more murderous attack by their Weather Underground friends, an armed assault on a Brinks truck that left guard Peter Paige dead and his partner, Joe Trombino, severely wounded, took place a year later. One of the perpetrators of that attack was Ayers' former girlfriend, Kathy Boudin. Ayers and Dohrn later became legal guardians of a son born to her and another Brinks assassin, David Gilbert. (Parenthetically, Trombino was killed on 9/11, while Ayers was, on that same date, defending his record of domestic terrorism in a New York Times interview.)
This is a striking example of the way Obama has twisted his deep involvement with the first couple of the Weather Underground.
Obama accepted cash political contributions from Ayers and Dohrn, not as an 8-year-old, but as a "community organizer" ready to launch his campaign for the Illinois Legislature in 2001.
Obama launched his first bid for political office in the living room of their home in 1995.
Michelle Obama invited Ayers to speak to a conference she organized in 1997
Barack Obama endorsed Ayers' book in 1997 – a book that references Ayers' neighbor, Obama.
Obama has claimed variously that he didn't know about Ayers' history with the Weather Underground when they got involved with one another, that he assumed he had been "rehabilitated" and that their relationship was limited to being neighbors.
How can I put this delicately? None of that is true. Obama and Ayers found each other and supported one another for years precisely because they shared radically "transformative" beliefs. There is every reason to believe – since Obama seems committed to obscuring his relationship with Ayers – they still do.
But back to Obama's favorite stump line about Ayers.
He says he was only 8 years old when Ayers performed his "despicable" deeds. As I pointed out, that's not true. However, suppose it were?
Obama was also 8 years old when another American performed despicable deeds. His name was Charles Manson. Would it be a legitimate excuse – a worthy rationalization – if Obama had maintained a working political alliance with Manson for five years? Would it be acceptable for Obama to say, "Gee, I didn't know about his history. I was only 8 years old at the time"?
I don't think so.
I believe Americans would see through that smokescreen.
Yet, Manson and Ayers are not so dissimilar.
Just before Ayers and Dohrn went underground, the Manson gang committed their brutal murders of actress Sharon Tate and others.
Do you know what Dohrn had to say about that notorious event?
"Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they shoved a fork into a victim's stomach! Wild!"
Dohrn went on to suggest her fellow radical, homicidal maniacs adopt a "fork" salute to greet one another.
The reason Obama had no choice but to distance himself from Ayers and this history is because it is morally indefensible. It is morally reprehensible. It is, of course, just plain evil.
But you can't say you weren't warned.
Maybe you weren't paying attention.
But you were warned.
Now that you know all this information, what are you going to do with it? Will you be complicit in the evil that has descended on this country's leadership as a kind of judgment on us all? Or will you get righteously angry and get out into the streets to stop the madness?
That's our choice.
Are you with Bill Ayers and Barack Obama? Or are you with America?
Are you with Bill Ayers and Barack Obama? Or are you with truth and decency and justice?
Are you with Bill Ayers and Barack Obama? Or are you with the people and the Constitution?
