- Obama Repeats Clinton Mistake!- 4/29/9 - Newsmax: “When Iranian government official Ahmad Samavati arrived in Washington, D.C., in February at the head of a five-man negotiating team, he thought he had an offer the Obama administration couldn’t refuse. The Iranian regime was going to turn over scores of top al-Qaida operatives, including some on the FBI’s “Most Wanted Terrorists” list. To Samavati’s surprise, the State Department officials he met declined the offer. “They told him they did not want any al-Qaida people. They told him they didn’t want them in the United States,” an Iranian source familiar with the negotiations told Newsmax…In the annual report on terrorism it released last April, the State Department blasted Iran for its unwillingness to cooperate in arresting, rendering, or controlling al-Qaida members operating from its territory.”
- Obama Taking Ownership of GM!- 4/29/9 - After rewarding his UAW pals with ownership of Chrysler, Obama is rewarding himself by taking ownership of GM! Fox News says the GM restructuring plan “Fuels Fear of Nationalization.” Fear of it?! It’s here if this goes through! From Fox: “If the government takes a majority stake in General Motors, will it end up taking the wheel, too? Under a restructuring plan put forth this week by GM, the ailing automaker would give majority ownership to the federal government to stave off bankruptcy. That handoff would amount to an extraordinary partial nationalization of the maker of Buicks, Cadillacs and Chevys that has been an independent company since 1908. The Obama administration has said it isn’t interested in running an auto company, but with that big of a stake, some analysts say the government would probably be tempted to push its own policies on such issues as alternative fuel vehicles and unions. And that could affect the types of cars that roll off GM’s assembly lines. “The fear here is that a company owned by the government would move toward the do-good results, not the bottom line,” said Gerald Meyers, a University of Michigan business professor and former CEO of American Motors Corp. GM’s proposal would give the government more than 50 percent of the automaker’s stock in exchange for forgiving $10 billion in government loans.
- Obama 100th Day Lie # 1 Says He Doesn’t Want to Run Banks!- 4/29/9 “I don’t want to run banks. I’ve got two wars I’ve got to run already. I’ve got more than enough to do,” Fox quoted him as saying. He doesn’t want to run the banks? You have got to be kidding. If that were true, he’d let them pay back the bailout money. However, that would mean he would not be able to control these private banks. Controlling the banks is precisely what he wants to do!
- Obama 100th Day Lie # 2 Says He Doesn’t Want to Run Auto Companies!- 4/29/9 Fox News: “”I don’t want to run auto companies…So the sooner we can get out of that business, the better off we’re going to be. We are in unique circumstances.” Again, a huge lie! So he takes over GM (even though the federal government only owned 35%) and fired the CEO, said his team would create the new GM business plan, then gave away Chrysler to his democrat pals at the UAW, and now is taking ownership of GM…and at the same time he has the audacity to claim he does not want to run the car makers?
- Obama 100th Day Lie # 3 Says He’s Not a Big Government Guy!- 4/29/9 Again from Fox: “He said he’s “amused” by charges that he wants to grow government. “I want to disabuse people of this notion that somehow we enjoy meddling in the private sector,” Obama said.” He’s amused?! Yeah, he’s amused that he can say such stupid things even though his actions speak so much louder than his lying words!!! He is quadrupling the deficit and is increasing the size of the federal government more than any other president ever has! He’s right…he’s not a big government guy…he’s a HUGE government guy!
- Napolitano Goofs Again!- 4/29/9 - From KOA Radio: “before a Senate panel, beleagured Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano retracted her startling statement that all Customs and Border Protection personnel were doing along the border to detect persons with the near-pandemic swine flu mutation was “passive surveillance.” She stated on this day that her earlier description is “not an accurate picture of what is going on” along our border with Mexico, thus adding another embarrassing chapter to her scandalous tenure.”
- VP Joe Biden as Fearmonger!- 4/30/9 Team Obama is using Leadership by Fear again. This time Fox calls him a Fearmonger after he did a TV interview about the swine flu and said he wouldn’t get in any confined space with anyone right now! He urged people not to fly, get on a bus or even take a train. He sounded like Dr. Suess!

- Surprise! You have to give back part of Obama’s Tiny Tax Cut!- 4/30/9 Gosh, they “forgot” to tell us this little fact! Associated Press writer Stephen Ohlemacher writes for Yahoo Finance: “Millions of Americans enjoying their small windfall from President Barack Obama’s “Making Work Pay” tax credit are in for an unpleasant surprise next spring. The government is going to want some of that money back. The tax credit is supposed to provide up to $400 to individuals and $800 to married couples as part of the massive economic recovery package enacted in February. Most workers started receiving the credit through small increases in their paychecks in the past month. But new tax withholding tables issued by the IRS could cause millions of taxpayers to get hundreds of dollars more than they are entitled to under the credit, money that will have to be repaid at tax time. At-risk taxpayers include a broad swath of the public: married couples in which both spouses work; workers with more than one job; retirees who have federal income taxes withheld from their pension payments and Social Security recipients with jobs that provide taxable income. The Internal Revenue Service acknowledges problems with the withholding tables but has done little to warn average taxpayers.
- Obama’s Job Creation Claim is a Stretch!- 4/30/9 Fox quotes Obama: “We began by passing a Recovery Act that has already saved or created over 150,000 jobs.” THE FACTS: This assertion is dubious on several levels. For starters, the U.S. has lost more than 1.2 million jobs since Obama took office, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Even if Obama’s stimulus bill saved or created as many jobs as he says, that number is dwarfed by the number of recent job losses. But Obama’s number is murky, at best. The White House has not yet announced how it intends to count jobs created by the stimulus bill. Obama’s number is based on a job-counting formula that his economists have developed but have not made public. Until that formula is announced…there’s no way to assess its accuracy. Whatever the formula, economists who study job creation say it will require some creative math. That’s because Obama has lumped “jobs saved” in with “jobs created.” Even economists for organizations that stand to benefit from the stimulus concede it probably is impossible to estimate saved jobs because that would require calculating a hypothetical: how many people would have lost their jobs without the stimulus.” UPDATE 5/27/9: Obama repeats the claim at a California fundraiser. Texas Rep. John Culberson called the stimulus package “a fiscal flop and nothing to celebrate,” and he said that since the bill was signed Feb. 17, “1.597 million jobs have been lost and unemployment numbers at their highest levels in two decades.” UPDATE 6/6/9: ABCDEmocrat News: “The truth is, even the Obama administration isn’t able to say for sure how many jobs the stimulus is saving and/or creating. No one is able to even say how many of the projects approved by the administration have even begun, because “it’s such a moving target,” Jared Bernstein, Biden’s top economic adviser, said…With its promises to “save or create” 3.5 million new jobs, the Obama White House has set a fuzzy bar for itself; no one will ever really be able to say whether it’s been cleared. Even with the stimulus on the books, unemployment rose last month, and is likely to continue to rise in the coming months, according to the administration; the argument Bernstein and the economic team make is that job losses would be worse without the stimulus. The problem, as Republicans are eager to point out, is that it’s really not possible to measure a “saved” job.
Michelle’s Steppin’ Out Blunder!- 5/1/9 Michelle Obama did a nice thing today. She went to help feed the poor at a Washington D.C. food bank. The problem? She wore a $540 pair of sneakers! Fox reports: “The sneakers, which come in denim and satin, are a favorite of comic Ellen DeGeneres and rapper Kanye West — and they’re “certainly not a reflection of the poor economy,” said FOX News’ Noelle Watters, host of iMag Style.” - Obama’s Flip Flops are Solar-System Wide! Latest flip on Sending Man back to the Moon May, 2009 - Politico: “Early in his presidential campaign, Obama had great reservations about the costs and risks of human space flight. He said he would delay NASA’s plans to send humans to the moon and, eventually, Mars and, instead, spend that money on education. But, as Florida, Ohio and Texas became more politically important, Obama began to walk back his proposed NASA cuts, promising to fund unmanned space exploration and some other scientific missions. Now that he’s in office, Obama’s reversal is complete: The White House budget, released earlier this month, provides a healthy increase in NASA funding and explicitly endorses the “goal of returning Americans to the moon and exploring other destinations.”
- Obama Appointment Scandal #49 - Ronald Sims- 5/2/9 - Washington Examiner: “President Barack Obama has settled on a train-wreck of a nominee for Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)…The Senate, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee approved Ronald Sims in a voice vote. They did so despite having credible information indicating financial mismanagement and ethical transgressions, including two egregious abuses of a state freedom of information law. Sims has been King County Executive in Washington state since 1996. Under his watch, local government was fined after it failed to produce documents concerning construction of the Qwest sports stadium. The Supreme Court of Washington, in a blistering ruling on the case issued this past January, said officials illegally withheld documents from requestor Armen Yousoufian. “The unchallenged findings of fact demonstrate King County repeatedly deceived and misinformed Yousoufian for years.” UPDATE 9/18/9: Sims missed the cut to be included in Sean Hannity’s TV special, “The President’s Top Ten.” However, he is included in our “Obama’s Most Unwanted List!” posted prior to Sean’s show.
- Obama’s Deficit Smoke & Mirrors Game-5/3/9 The president continues to blame Bush as he did in Missouri recently: “Number one, we inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit….That wasn’t me.” But Fox News reports the President is leaving out most of the story: “Congress, under Democratic control in 2007 and 2008, held the purse strings that led to the deficit Obama inherited.” Obama was a Senator at the time. Fox: “Bush, had a role too: He signed the legislation. Obama supported the emergency financial bailout package in Bush’s final months — a package Democratic leaders wanted to make bigger…The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget has estimated Obama’s policy proposals would add a net $428 billion to the deficit over four years, even accounting for his spending reduction goals. Now, the deficit is nearly quadrupling to $1.75 trillion.”
- Obama’s Tax Evasion Hypocrisy-5/4/9 Obama tells the press: “The way to make American businesses competitive is not to let some citizens and businesses dodge their responsibility, while ordinary Americans pick up the slack. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what we’re doing.” He is right that this is exactly what HE is doing and HIS administration is doing. Why does the President let people like Tim the Tax Cheat Geithner dodge the responsibility? Why does Obama let ordinary Americans pick up the slack? Of course the Hypocrite-in-Chief wasn’t talking about his own friends who are tax evaders or the seven nominees for top posts he picked who are dodging their responsibilities! This one’s a blood boiler.
- Obama Proposes Increasing Double Tax on Business- 5/4/9 - And how will this help CREATE jobs?? Obama wants to increase taxes on businesses during a time of recession and very high unemployment! The President wants to increase the double taxes we already charge US companies that make money overseas. “The United States is the only major industrialized country which double taxes the overseas earnings of our companies. Since other countries don’t subject their companies to double taxation, U.S. companies need deferral to stay competitive in the global marketplace,” the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s chief economist, Marty Regalia, told Fox News. Even democrats like Senator Max Baucus say “more study is needed” on this one.

If Al Gore were here, he would say when it comes to talk about bias in the media, “the debate is over.” - Obama 5th of the 4th Gaffe- 5/4/9 - CNN reports the President, in celebrating Cinco de Mayo (5th of May) a day early at the White House called the celebration the “Cinco de Quatro.” The 5th of the 4th?? The President said they like to do things early in “The Obama White House.”
- Obama Flip Flop on New York Fly Over Pictures- First on 5/5/9 CBS News reports: The photos of Air Force One’s low flyover of Manhattan will not be released. Then on 5/6/9 Fox News reports: The White House plans to soon release a photo from the controversial Air Force One-style flyover of Manhattan last week, despite claiming earlier that there was no need to release any official images from the incident.
- Obama’s No Prayer Day of Prayer- 5/6/9 National Days of Prayer are of little use to communists and, apparently, to the President of the United States. Mr. Obama cancelled the traditional White House observance of the special day and plans no public appearances related to the Day of prayer. Fox reports: “We are disappointed in the lack of participation by the Obama administration,” Shirley Dobson, chairwoman of the National Day of Prayer Committee, said in a statement. “At this time in our country’s history, we would hope our president would recognize more fully the importance of prayer.” ABCDEmocrat News’ David Wright earlier noted Obama “has not been to church since he took office — 11 Sundays!” He finally went on Easter.

The White House’s own review said, “Ultimately, the director (Louis Caldera) did not notify Messina (Jim, deputy White House Chief of Staff) or Gibbs (the White House Press Secretary) about the flyover,” reads the report, “when asked why he failed to do so, he (Caldera) did not offer a coherent explanation.” And that surprises us, why?
Obama & “The Greatest Scandal”- 5/10/9 - Archbishop Raymond Burke, who is the prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, the Vatican’s highest court, (says) “The proposed granting of an honorary doctorate at Notre Dame University to our president, who is so aggressively advancing an anti-life and anti-family agenda, is rightly the source of the greatest scandal.” Burke is the former archbishop of St. Louis and a vocal opponent of giving communion to politicians who support abortion rights. He was the latest in a string of Catholic leaders to criticize Notre Dame’s decision. But Notre Dame University President Rev. John I. Jenkins has called Obama an “inspiring leader” who follows in a long tradition of presidential guest speakers. He says that the invitation does not mean universal support for Obama administration policies. Fox News reports Newt Gingrich, a recent convert to Catholicism, told ‘FOX News Sunday’ “To the degree that Notre Dame still thinks of itself as a Catholic institution, it raises real questions.” 
From the Rush Limbaugh Show: It’s a Bloomberg story: “President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending ‘unsustainable,’ warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the US continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries. ‘We can’t keep on just borrowing from China,’ Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. ‘We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.’ Holders of US debt will eventually ‘get tired’ of buying it, causing interest rates on everything from auto loans to home mortgages to increase, Obama said. ‘It will have a dampening effect on our economy.’”This is the guy who has just saddled us with $11 trillion in budget deficits for the next ten years, warning that his own policies have wrecked the US economy and that they cannot be continued. He threw himself under the bus. We can’t continue Obamaism. Just barely over a hundred days into his administration, Obama has condemned his own administration, and nobody in the Drive-By Media gets this. They’re still praising the guy for showing fiscal restraint and understanding the dangers that are out there. It just gets funnier and more ridiculous each and every day. This is an historic event, the first time in presidential history where a president has thrown himself under the bus. A scathing attack on Obama’s spending policies by Obama, in which Obama warns that those spending policies cannot be sustained. It is impossible to make too big a deal of this. So you have ask, “Is Obama the new Houdini?” You know, it’s Barack H. Obama. Does the “H” now stand for Houdini? Is he trying to escape all responsibility, that he has no responsibility for his own votes for TARP?”
5/15/9 Warner Todd Huston is reporting on Publius Forum: “In keeping with the America denigrating tone set by president Obama, the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, told participants of the UN Human Rights Council that the U.S. has “not been perfect ourselves” on human rights issues. Rice was discussing the pending membership of the United States on the UN Human Rights Council which has such human rights loving states as China, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, Jordon, Nicaragua, Egypt, and Pakistan as members. With members of such ‘high standards,’ it is no wonder that Ambassador Rice felt the need to apologize for the U.S.A.” 
An observer noted weeks ago (see Scandal #213) that President Obama had done nothing to fulfill his pledge to find “common ground” on the issue of abortion. Today the President “urged graduates to seek common ground on issues, like abortion, that stir passion on both sides.” In the same speech he said “No matter how much we may want to fudge it — indeed, while we know that the views of most Americans on the subject are complex and even contradictory — the fact is that at some level, the views of the two camps are irreconcilable.” I don’t believe for a minute that the views of “most Americans” are contradictory. He was speaking of his own views on the subject; find a common ground even though the two sides are irreconciliable. UPDATE 5/18/9: As Rush Limbaugh puts it, “I have often asked, “Where is the middle ground between good and evil? Where do you compromise, where’s the compromise between life and death? Where’s the compromise between killing and birth? Where do you compromise on that?” 
I want you to know what his position is in his own words. This is in the Illinois state Senate, April of 2002. OBAMA: ‘And that essentially adding an additional doctor, who then has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments is really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion.’ RUSH: Now, here he is talking about the Born Alive Infant Protection Act and why he was going to vote against it. And he voted against it three times, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, because it would be a burden to bring in another doctor, okay, the abortion doctor botches it, so you gotta bring in a third doctor to save the baby. That’s a burden on the first doctor. It’s a burden on the second doctor; it’s a burden on the mother, who intended to abort. Here’s Obama, August 16, 2008. This is Lake Forest, California, after the Saddleback civil forum with Rick Warren, the Christian Broadcasting Network David Brody talked to Obama, said, “Real quick, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, they’re basically saying they felt like you misrepresented your position on that bill.” OBAMA: Here is a situation where folks are lying. I have said repeatedly that I would have been completely and fully in support of the federal bill that everybody supported, which was to say that you should provide assistance to any infant that was born, even if it was as a consequence of an induced abortion. That was not the bill that was presented at the state level. What that bill also was doing was trying to undermine Roe vs. Wade. By the way, we also had a bill — a law already in place in Illinois that ensured lifesaving treatment was given to infants. So for people to suggest that I and the Illinois Medical Society, so Illinois’ doctors, were somehow in favor of withholding lifesaving support from an infant born alive is ridiculous. RUSH: Well, play number nine real quick again. He says ridiculous? Well, let’s listen to number nine again. An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
