BP Was the Victim of An Obama Shakedown

The New York Times calls it arm twisting, Congressman Barton calls it a shakedown. What's the difference? Both describe means to the end, which would be to extort.

BP has 3,100,000,000 shares outstanding, it pays or did pay before two days ago, $3.36 a share divided. It was paying out to it's shareholders almost half of it's profits every year. The company's earning were expected to be $19 Billion this year. A viable business, capitalism at work. Not anymore..... and for years to come.

There are millions of BP stock holders who will forfeit any right to earnings because of a number pulled from thin air, by none other than Barrack Obama Usurper-In-Chief.

Has anybody detailed to the least extent, the basis for picking this number? I haven't heard a word which concurs with this figure. I've heard about Alabama's $1.2 Billion tourist business being curtailed by half, but that isn't $20 Billion. The folks on the left coast of Florida say they are being hurt, but have they factored in the yearly competition by the right coast of Florida or the draw of South Beach. What about the impact of sagging economy in general has that been factored in to the equation?. I'm all for fairness, on both sides of the issue. That's what courts are for, but not according to Obama.

It comes from Obams, that's where the $20 Billion figure got dreamed up, call it Stimulus Package BP. Bingo. It's about votes and ratings, not relief. It's about redistributing the wealth, not rebuilding.

Obama has his priorities, and that is what has the left infighting. The environmentalists are feeling betrayed, the gays stranded at the alter, the illegals wandering in the desert, and the radicals denied an orgasm, while they watch the blacks get ever closer to reparations. Useful idiots, that's what Lenin called them.

The board of directors of British Petroleum IS going through a shakedown. The $20 Billion is just the first installment. But so are the rest of us.

Cap and Trade is back whether you like it or not. Call it an energy tax, call it global warming or climate change legislation,EPA regulations, but you and I are going to be paying more and seeing it given to the non performers. Redistributively.

The next new public service announcement campaign will sound like this:

" Every mile you drive to work each day, will feed a welfare recipient for a month. Won't you please take the long way? There are lazy people, high on crack, counting on you. Please help, and don't forget to run your a/c. Thank you."

I am Barrack Obama and I approve of this message.
