The Real Super Tuesday Primary Election-11 States

VOTE 6/8/10

California
Iowa
Maine
Montana
Nevada
New Jersey
North Dakota
South Carolina
South Dakota
Virginia

Plus Arkansas US senator commurat runoff.

After Tuesday's primaries, we are exactly half way, with 25 states remaining to hold primary elections. Party candidates are getting sorted out and the rhetoric opposing Obama should likewise increase in volume as we approach November 2, 2010.

  1. Putting aside my Democratic sensibilities and speaking solely as someone interested in politics, I have to say the thing that has struck me about this primary season is first and foremost how many primary voters have real, substantive, ideological decisions to make. Usually primaries are like the North Carolina Senate race, where I'm being asked to choose between two candidates that will likely not act much differently once elected. It's refreshing.

Second, there are also differences between candidates as far as electability. Voters, especially Republicans, are faced with several opportunities to choose between a more ideological candidate and a more electable one. So, what do you do? I've always been partial to the more ideological candidate, but that could be why I don't have a job in politics any more.
