Obama’s party is leaving the building
By Dr. Laurie Roth Full Story
This week we saw Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s chief of staff resign and make plans to run for the Mayor of Chicago. As he gives his emotional farewells to Obama and the White House staff we find that now he isn’t qualified to run for mayor because he is not a legal resident of Chicago. According to their state’s municipal code it is most clear that you have to reside in Chicago at least one year before an election. Rahm has been in D.C. for the last two years.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
