Senate Test Vote On HR 4853- Tax Cut Extensions PlusDeficit Increasing Add Ons Passes

The tally was 62 votes for and 7 votes against The nays were Bingaman,Feingold,Sanders,Leahy,Gillibrand,Brown-(Ohio) and Udall

This test vote will open the way for a final senate vote before sending it back to the House where 53 commucrats have signed a letter opposing it.

Other than extending the tax cuts, this legislation adds tremendously to the deficit. Congress has much work to do in cutting government spending.

Boehner's call for a 5% cut in Congress' personal budget amounts to about $25 million dollars in reduced spending by lawmakers. That figure is laughable, that is less than the $100 million in cuts Obama asked of his regime's cabinet in his first year of usurpation.

The cutting $100 Billion out of the annual $400 Billion in discretionary spending Boehner wants to make in 2011 is a start but hardly touches the $1.8 trillion annual deficit, We need to remain vigilant with regard to what both parties are doing at all times, 2012 is just around the corner.
