Terry Lakin – Home Again
by LADYSFOREST
•May 14, 2011 • 2 Comments Just returned from Baltimore less than an hour ago. I went to join the others who were there to welcome Terry home.Funny thing is about a month ago my Husband had asked if I cared to go to Baltimore to see a special museum exhibit of extra special religious relics and such like items. Since it would be a six hour trip (each way) for one day at the museum, I declined.
Then a fortnight ago I read that Terry Lakin was due to be released, and would be going home, to Baltimore, today. Then I read further that his friends were asking for a welcoming group to gather there at the airport to celebrate his arrival home.
So, doing a little math, I yelled out to the Husband and asked if he still wanted to go to the museum – “sure do” he says. We went, and today we helped welcome Terry home.
I had the chance to introduce myself and to thank Terry for his tremendous sacrifices and service.
I tell you, on his face was such a look of emotion that I was nearly undone. I could tell how touched he was by the support of the people there. Difficult to put into words really, but the look on his face nearly made me start into crying.
I’m bushed from the trip home – through the fifty miles of crazy THICK fog – etc., so I will keep this very brief. I will post a very short vid of Terry greeting some of the group for now.
