Head In A Bucket
Every Wednesday is cocktails night. Friday is date night. Saturday is concert night. Sunday is reserved for golf. Breakfast at 8:00 am Basketball at 9:00 am.The daily national security brief doesn't take place until 10:30 am. It lasts about 30 minutes. Lunch 11:30 to 2:00 Meet with inner circle staff 2:00 to 2:30 Pre dinner gatherings at 5:00. Dinner till 7:00pm.
This isn't much of a schedule to get much work done.
The longest working segment is from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. Some of this time must be used to decide which golf course to play next, to look at travel brochures for future vacations, book next weeks concert, check the party list for Wednesday and Saturday.
Somewhere in there the country's business creeps in.
This BP business is really beginning to put a crimp in party central. If Obama thinks the oil spill is kicking his butt, just wait a bit, Korea is about to light it up. Oh and did anyone notice Iran is steaming towards a blockade breaking run off Gaza.
This time next week BP may be way down on the priority totum pole. All that time frittered away, will be sorely missed when the what if's start landing on his door step.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
Great observation Steve. Maybe he feels like Usurpers are entitled to a reduced schedule....
