A reader speaks out...
Safeguarding The Future.
The most important election in any state is the one for Secretary of State. That office holds the key to preventing an illegal or unqualified individual from ever again perpetrating a fraud on the electorate. The second most important office is State Attorney General. It is essential that only candidates who will swear to aggressively prosecute malfeasance and fraud be considered for the post.
Sadly, for law-abiding Americans, there should be no need to focus on this matter in a normal course of events. It's axiomatic that all candidates for office swear to uphold the Constitution: it's to our eternal shame that we have becomes so corrupt that the oath of office is meaningless. It should be replaced by a legal contract signed by the Secretary of State and the candidate - and unequivocal in its intent.
Will.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
