Dream act Water Shed Moment

Later today we will see based on the results of the senate vote on the Dream Act bill just how far to the right the Commucrats have shifted these past few weeks. Incumbent status versus secure seats, that should be analysed as well when we look at how they voted on this bill. Most of the time the senate doesn't record their vote, but thanks to Tivo and Cspan those days of attempted anonymity are over.

The Commucrats aren't the only anti American faction voting on this bill, already flaming rino Susan Collins has stated she will vote for the Dream Act.

Attachments or riders to the what is originally a defense spending bill, is an amnesty bill, a gay rights bill, and some pork. This is the Dream Act. Harry Reid desperate for re election in Nevada included these poison pills so as to pander to the Hispanic vote and the Gay vote. These two issues, don't ask don't, and amnesty deserve a fair and open debate on their own standing. Instead the American people get back doored on this legislation.

On an off topic note, the Republicans are full of angst over the prospect of not winning Delaware. That issue isn't a foregone conclusion. Even if the senate remains Blue, there will be little change from the status quo. As long as Obama squats illegally in the oval office we are sure to have two more years of gridlock, impeachment or court case not withstanding. By 2012 the next election should put us over the top as far as gaining control of the senate. By winning in the House that will be a major step forward in the cause to begin the reversal process of the insanity which has taken place these past 20 months. Of course winning and winning now is preferable, but laying the delay off on O'Donnell is disingenuous. We have bigger problems on the Right than an ex-high school sophomore's curiosity in witchcraft. Such as if the people of Delaware would rather send a Marxist to DC rather than O'Donnell that's a problem, a societal problem much bigger than the so called sins of this woman during her adolescence. With at best a max total of 51-53 senate votes as the golden prize this election, those results would not guarantee the professional RINO's from sinking the ship. Susan Collins, and Olympia Snowe and to a degree Scott Brown are no guaranteed unity votes. The Maine senators in particular were first to look to their fence sitting as a " what's my vote worth to you" situation. When it comes to controversial legislation Obama would have these three names on speed dial. Instead of Cornhusker Kickback, we will need to coin some new catchy names for future Maine and Massachusetts sell outs. These two states aren't the only culprits, it seems more than a few so called Republican senators take a turn in the barrel when it comes to RINOism. We must have some Blue Dog support if we are going to save our country.
