Parallels Between 1775 and Today

WAS OBAMA JUST AN “ILLUSION OF HOPE?”

by Durus Helm
Patrick Henry served as governor of Virginia twice and was outspoken about corruption in government
(Jan. 13, 2011) — On March 23, 1775, at St. John’s Church, Richmond, VA when Patrick Henry stated:
Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.
It is amazing how what he said back in 1775 remains so relevant about Obama and his bots today.
Obama campaigned on delusions/illusions of hope and change.
Obama’s ineligibility for the office of the President is the painful truth that many are apt to shut their eyes against.
Obots have been listening to delusions/illusions of hope and change, which is the song of that siren, Obama, till he transforms them into beasts.
One of those beasts just revealed himself in the shooting that occurred in Tucson last weekend.
Those who remain well-grounded are questioning:
Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.
