6-6-11 D-Day

I'm sure all of you, along with me, were proud to be Americans last Monday. Tears came to my eyes when I saw all the banner headlines in the newspapers commemorating D-Day where 9,000 of our finest died that day.

Of course I'd expect nothing less of a tribute in the "home of the brave" that took sixty years to create a war memorial site to all the WWII veterans who helped so many others to live a life of freedom - by giving their lives for a belief.

Today's America makes a mockery of these brave men and women. We extol the "virtues" of illegal's and other law breakers - they're in the news every day for all the wrong reasons while our legislators carefully turn a blind eye to the truth (oh, sorry, the legislators are also in the news for similar transgressions) - and cosset these miscreants in return for votes delivered by fraudulent means.

Wait...you didn't see the D-Day salutes in the national print media? - neither did I! Hot Dog Weiner was all the rage and now we have another limited intellect Alec Baldwin making PR ripples about possibly running for Mayor of New York. You can trust Baldwin to keep his word - remember it wasn't that many months ago he said he would leave America over some pouting issue. He never did! I believe Barbra Streisand also made the same vow and instead she hid under the covers too. What can you expect when she can't spell her name right? The day that Baldwin makes good on his promises will be a cold day in hell!

Anyway, I honor all who have given so much to keep America free - so many with their lives. Did I hear a thank you from Alec and Barbra?

Will.

  1. A veteran who was actually there named Ken McGill told me there were 15,000 bodies on the beach.
