Obama reads children book about himself
Before his speech Tuesday at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas, President Obama stopped by an early childhood education laboratory to read to children ages 3 to 5.
Among his reading selections: A book about the presidential dog Bo, including a drawing of the president himself. Some of the kids didn't seem to think the caricature looked much like their guest.
"That's because when they made this book I didn't have any gray hair," Obama said.
More from the pool report:
Eight preschoolers were seated in a circle when he walked in, sat down and asked each child's name.
One kid took this moment to put his foot behind his head. President asked adults present, "Can you imagine being that flexible?"
He was winding up to sign one girl's copy "Of Thee I Sing as the pool left.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
