This writer would make the Donald my last choice in a field of sixteen candidates from the GOP primary, but if he is the last man standing after the primaries he would be my first choice for president.
The press tried to get Trump to retract remarks he made to no avail.
Undaunted the mainstream media next accused him of rape – the ex-wife said it wasn't so.
Running low on ammo the MSM pulled out the old "birth certificate" controversy.
My bias is obviously non-democrat for president, which uniquely qualifies me to write on the Donald's view that President Obama is not eligible to hold the office of POTUS because of a completely fake birth certificate.
With Sheriff Arpaio holding off on his "universe shattering" information on the birth certificate due to legal hassles, we will all have to settle in for nothing at all being done on the "birther" front until Obama signs out of the oval office or someone finds a way to circumvent the legal fortress of concealment that shrouds his records and background info.
I stand on the side of "I don't know" concerning the birth certificate but I join with those who believe that after so many lies being spawned by this administration that the odds that the Donald is right – are in his favor.
Some still make jokes about the birthers, but often it becomes Obama that is the joke.
Such was the case when in the recent Conservative Political Action Conferencethe speaker right after Trump was Rick Santorum.
Santorum said, "The president's popularity is so bad around the world today, that I heard this report from a source that the Kenyan government is actually developing proof that Barack Obama was born in America."
What is no joke, is that almost every school record and early childhood record concerning Barack Obama is still under lock and key and protected by executive orders, legal bamboozling and mountains of obfuscation.
As a minister of the gospel I have to resort to the familiar verse of scripture that even Christ was adjured to pay attention to by his own family and friends.
"His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, show thyself to the world." (Jn 7: 3-4)
My conclusion is that Barack Obama's past is not something he wants to be "known openly."
Everyone has the right to privacy and we know that even criminals may plead the "fifth" in order to refrain from saying something that may incriminate them, but the hidden Obama records don't fit into either of these categories for two very important reasons.
1. No one holding high level public office is shielded from public scrutiny. If such were the case we might have crooks, charlatans and Manchurian candidates in all levels of governance. Some would argue that we do anyway, but it is not an expedient way to run a nation.
2. Most if not all of U.S. presidents have openly provided their records to the public, because that is their legacy, and from these, come the endless biographies, historical accounts and material with which to fill presidential libraries. We could add, that most presidents have been proud of their past and it is what makes them unique in the history of our nation.
Not even bad grades and delinquency can incriminate a person. Bad behavior and lousy grades do not a make criminal of anyone, which leaves the greater question.
Should we doubt the Donald for doubting the President?
Or should we doubt the President for concealing something that in most cases would not hurt, incriminate or violate the privacy of anyone who has nothing to hide?
My contention is simple, why wouldn't we doubt the birth certificate when so many ho-hum records are kept secret from view? In fact, it is what we have not seen in an online showing or in paper copies that dwarf the question of the birth certificate. It is the reason many Americans believe the BC is only the tip of the iceberg.
