spending over 1 million to hide a $15 certified copy of BC is the sign of insanity or massive fraud and treason

If You Feel Like a “Birther” Nut, Maybe You Shouldn’t
by Kyle-Anne Shiver • August 14, 2009
My article, “You Might Be a Birther if…,” is the prelude to this post, and is meant to be read first. Adding to the thoughts expressed in the article, I offer the following for your consideration.
If Barry O and Bobby Gibbs, and their political operatives in media are beginning to make you feel like a nut for asking for verifiable documentation on the President, maybe you shouldn’t buy into it. This is not a matter of politics, except as it’s been made that by the White House. This is a simple matter of civics, an American’s civic duty, to be precise.
Why are we even having this very public discussion on things which should have been settled prior to the start of the Democratic primaries in 2008? Since there is no government agency with the express responsibility of ensuring that candidates do indeed meet all qualifications for the elected offices they seek, that burden has traditionally fallen upon the shoulders of the political parties, in this instance, the Democratic National Committee. Specifically, Howard Dean.
But as we saw in all its inglorious dimensions during the election campaign, anyone and everyone who dared to hold Barack Obama to the same standard set for white candidates was labeled a “racist” posthaste, so that it is now quite conceivable that the Democratic National Committee, white-guilt-ridden liberals all, were cowed into submission any time they attempted to verify the candidate’s “narrative” and other assertions. In fact, I doubt seriously if anyone within the party wanted to much mess around with even seeming to question this candidate very much. We all know how that would have been portrayed. Now, don’t we?
When it comes to being labeled as a “conspiracy nut” for merely asking normal questions about a man who seems to have one very shadowy past, we should be asking ourselves, who is the real “nutcase” here? When a grown man, the President, spends more than $1 million of campaign money (is this even legal?) to defend lawsuits in which he could merely produce a $15 document, isn’t that, in and of itself, a bit off the sanity mark? Either that or we’re dealing with a man who hasn’t an ounce of good sense when it comes to money, especially other people’s money. Spending this much to avoid producing a single document strikes me as crazier than a coon with rabies.
Some in the media have compared “Birthers” to “9/11 Truthers.”
What a bunch of preposterous poppycock.
We, the people of the USA, had a full accounting of what happened on 9/11, paid for by us, with hundreds of officials taking part, thousands of witnesses testifying, and they even put the findings out in a book: The 9/11 Commission Report. Anyone, who would compare these two issues and call them the same, must be a little short in the common sense department, if you ask me.
Now, as to the political ramifications of continuing to ask for proper verification from this President, I’m wondering whether we have become so enamored of political game-playing that we’ve lost all sense of civic duty. Not only that, but perhaps it’s been so long since we regularly saw public people standing upon principle, and refusing to be sidetracked, we’ve nearly forgotten what standing on principle looks like.
A principle is no small thing. Without principle, the whole world descends into chaos pretty darned quickly. If we, as Americans, have not the courage to think for ourselves, form a principle of belief, and then also lack the wherewithal to stand stalwart by that principle, we’ve become a shameful generation.
The Founders are aghast in their heavenly abodes, I’m quite sure, at those defaming citizens who say, “Show me.”
What in the world is this country coming to?
A principle is a principle. If we believe in our Constitution, if we believe that the citizens have a right to know all there is to know about their leaders — of any and every race — then we must continue to ask for all the facts, and not merely those we’ve been fed by a political machine from the most corrupt city in these United States. To ask the same things of a black president that we would most certainly ask of a white president is the very essence of non-discrimination and the utter fulfillment of King’s dream. Anything less than a colorblind approach bespeaks condescending racism, the kind that believes blacks are truly less capable. I shall never concede this point.
It is Barack Obama, the Democratic National Committee and those in the media who utterly failed to do their jobs on this, that have a lot of explaining to do. This is becoming a disgrace to democracy, and if this president is playing a cute political game, hoping to make fools of those who’ve asked for his life documentation, then he is playing with fire. Because he is the one who is diminishing our founding principles and our government like a crazed fool. And it is he who should be made to feel like a nutcase.
Any president, who thinks governing the greatest Nation in the history of civilization is just a game of political intrigue ought not merely have his head examined, but be branded the childish fool he is and be shamed into never showing his face in public again.
So, bottom line, we must all — as Americans doing our own civic duty — continue to decry this unnatural and entirely “fishy” state of things with this very historical president. To do less, in my opinion, belittles the entire concept of democracy, something of which I do not ever want to be found guilty.
Only those without an ounce of respect for this Country would dare to attack patriotic citizens for doing their civic duty. That’s as simple as the nose on one’s face.
