England vs. U.S. picks from Biden and celebrity non-experts

Whatever your politics, you've got to admire Joe Biden's big mouth. In a world full of focus groups, public relations campaigns and carefully worded statements, Biden has carved out a successful career despite possessing absolutely no filter between his brain and his lips. His reward for this is The Vice Presidency of the Unites States of America and a complimentary trip to South Africa for World Cup 2010 while Barack Obama stays home to worry about oil spills. So who better to ask for a USA vs England prediction?
“In the spirit of a genuine Irishman, we are going to beat England,” the vice president said to loud applause at a gathering of diplomats and dignitaries at the US consulate near Johannesburg Friday according to wire reports.

There you go Joe. Nice and bold. But I was really hoping for less Irishness and more of a tactical breakdown from the VP. He has the power to request dossiers from USA coach Bob Bradley right? What good is that power if you're not going to use it? If I was VP, of any country, I'd have the national team coach sending me daily reports. Which is probably quite high on the list of reasons why I don't hold any political office right now.
Obviously Biden's not the only one smoking vulture brains and making USA vs England predictions. Your Dirty Tackle bloggers did a bipartisan prediction yesterday, and I also did mine in a one Englishman vs three Americans podcast this week. But who wants to hear from football fans when you can ask semi-interested celebrities instead?

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
