Ms Smith Goes To Washington
Care for a November feel good movie? How about a remake of the classic, but instead let life copy art. Let it be a story about Jane Doe nobody, a struggling citizen not born of the entitled aristocratic class, but a commoner, one from the working class. An honest to goodness yankee doodle dandy, dipped in red, white, and blue all the way up to the eyebrows. A citizen who chokes up on the words, "We Hold These Truths To Be Self Evident...." one who actually understands the meaning behind the words of "The Star Spangled Banner", that never once felt America is a down right mean country, but instead believes in America as the land of opportunity for those who will abide by her laws. Can you not imagine in your mind's eye a certain citizen from Delaware, standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial reading to herself, "With Charity For All, With Malice Towards None" and "I Have A Dream" or standing before the constitution on Pennsylvania and 10th NW and then going into the halls of congress and fighting like a tigress for those words.
I could go on with the platitudes and juxtapositions , but you already know who I'm talking about. I have a feeling about this Christine O'Donnell, from Delaware. I think she may be our long awaited Ms Smith.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
