Heckling To Reach A Crescendo

During the 2008 campaign Obama got a pass. Nobody knew just how radically bent to the left he was during his election bid. People who attended his rallies were made up of supporters, however there were the curious information seekers there as well. Some liked what they heard, some didn't. But the point is, the forum was open to all.

After the election, Obama clamped down. Only carefully screened backers were allowed to attend his speeches. When he holds a townhall, advance teams are sent in days in advance to go over the resumes of perspective attendees. Only the carefully vouched are allowed admittance, especially to "live coverage" events.

Occasionally a faker slips in. I believe it was in late 2009 at a Virginia coliseum setting, when a father began shouting anti Obama rhetoric. The heckler got the better of Obama, interrupting him several times, to the point the secret service went into the crowd and removed him. No sooner had Obama re started his speech, when the man's 10 year old son began heckling and he too had to be lead out.

No pre screening process is perfect it seems.

Exactly how is Obama planning to handle the situation during the 2012 campaign? If our elections are open, can he insist on pre screened audiences? Who is going to be the next Joe the Plumber? The independent videographers are out there, cooking up plans to ask Obama about his birth certificate as he comes down the hand shake line.

When Obama steps into the Iowa hamburger shop, someone will be waiting to ask about his Kenyan father and natural born citizenship.

Obama is going to be dogged this time around, every step of the way. His slogan of Hope and Change will take on a new meaning- "I Hope we can Change the focus away from my birth certificate." The pink elephant in the room could very well morph into the 800 lb gorilla. The question most asked, at every event, at every ice cream shop, at every handshake line. "Where's the birth certificate, usurper !?"

The negativity created from Obama's defending and back pedaling on the birther issue should be a windfall for his opposition opponent. Dive taker, John McCain isn't running this time, Trump will be though.
