Obamas to Pay Another Visit to Oprah
blog of the Wall Street Journal reports. In a sign that the president’s re-election campaign has begun, the first couple will travel to Chicago later this month to tape a segement with the billionaire chat host who has become one of the administration’s biggest boosters.Winfrey backed then-Sen. Obama in the Democratic primaries and has continued to give him approving media exposure through her television show and "O" magazine. The First Lady was Winfrey’s on-air guest in January.
The May 2 segment could be a last hurrah of sorts, or at least the loss of a friendly media outlet for the Obamas, since “The Oprah Winfrey Show” will be retired at the end of the current television season.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
