President Obama 'gets TWO standing ovations from House Republicans during rare meeting on Capitol Hill'
By Associated Press Reporter and Daily Mail ReporterPresident Obama was treated to not one but two standing ovations at the beginning and end of his meeting with House Republicans held on Capitol Hill Wednesday.
A source told ABC News the talks between the president and leaders of the GOP featured tough questions and provided no immediate solutions, but were 'very cordial.'
Virtually every House Republican who directed a question at Mr Obama stood up and prefaced his query by saying, 'Thank you for coming' and 'You are welcome here anytime.'

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
