WASHINGTON – Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor won her first public pledge of support Friday from the Senate's most senior Republican, after a smooth performance at her confirmation hearings that has placed her firmly on track to become the high court's first Latina and the first Democratic-named justice in 15 years.Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., announced that he would vote for Sotomayor, calling her "clearly qualified to serve on the Supreme Court," after four days of Judiciary Committee hearings in which he said she showed "a judicial temperament." Lugar, who previously voted to confirm Sotomayor to her current spot on a federal appeals court, was the first Republicans to voice his support for Sotomayor after her hearings this week.
Write to this traitor and tell him he is unfit to represent the American people. Vote him out! Shame on him! Shame...shame...shame! Disgusting! Where are your principles Mr. Lugar? Your'e supposed to be working for the American people not against them! This woman is unqualified, biased and bigoted. And you take us for fools?
WARNING to any senator, Republican or Dumacrat...you will pay at the ballot box for supporting this despicable supreme court nominee!
Sen. Richard G. Lugar (R) Fax: 202-228-0360
Tell him you are done with him! Lugar is in fact an over-rated, self-absorbed political hack that should have been thrown out long ago. How dare he support Obama's appointee? This is insulting!
As for smooth performance by Sotomayor...it was fairly obvious that the woman was continually lying on national TV. It truly was an embarrassment. Anyone who votes for this bigoted, temperamental, clearly incompetent and mean-spirited judicial activist...needs their heads examined. Listening Lugar? No votes for you! You're no Republican and you are no patriot or friend of American values. What do you think this is...a game? Kissing Obama's butt at our expense! Disgusting!

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
He has asked Sarah Palin to help him raise funds for his next campaign. Can you believe the nerve of these people?
