Caught Slow Playing
During Obama's press conference topic number 1 , the Gulf oil spill, Obama tried to CYA his way out of doing as little as necessary, by appearing to be doing everything possible to contain the problem.
From day 1, they have been on this,--second reporter's question "how can you say you've done everything possible? 17 countries have offered help, only Mexico and Norway's help have been accepted, there are vacuum ships NOT being used, their are local fishermen willing to help but are going unutilized?" Interesting Mexico just happens to be helping. Need comprehensive immigration reform?
Obama has sat and twiddled thumbs for 40 days by not doing something because He wants this mess. Obama wants to move away from coal and oil, a carbon based economy, not so much for clean air purposes, but to strengthen his case for Cap and Trade.
The people affected are going to be paid by BP, this is just a bonus redistribution of wealth. One less Oil company that has to be taken over. The left can't get there numbers straight, some say this 10 times bigger than Valdez, some it's twice as big.
I've heard mention made there are plans afoot to fine BP $4200 per barrel spilled, this is a money maker for the Left. About $21 Billion on the low side, $210 Billion on the high side. (Not to mention claims for damages.) That's some fine, enough to put BP out of business.
