Since When Do American Presidents Diss Our Fallen Troops on Meml Day? Since Obama, That’s When
It was bad enough when Sean Hannity dissed the sacrifices and memories of our fallen troops by raising money in their name (the “Sean Hannity Freedom Concerts”) and sending a good chunk of it to his speaking engagement agent, his cronies that run a con-artist filled charity, and using it to pay for his private jets and fancy travel and accommodations for himself and friends. That was a scam which he continues . . . and continues to lie and obfuscate about. But he’s not the President, just a scam artist with a giant audience on FOX News and ABC radio.

U.S. Army Sgt. Chris Moore @ the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Now, though, the President, Barack Obama, is flat-out telling America he doesn’t care about our fallen troops. He’s skipping the traditional Memorial Day laying of the wreath ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Hey, at least he’s honest. More honest than when he faked his Selective Service Registration, years after the fact, a story I broke on this site over a year-and-a-half ago. So, I guess it’s kind of fitting that a guy who scammed his way out of registering for the draft, is blatantly F-U-ing his way out of honoring America’s fallen.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
