US president warns violence against demonstrators "must come to an end now," but does not refer to any potential US consequences should Assad refuse to heed his demands.
At least 88 killed by Syrian security forces, activists say
++++++++++++
Ennie meany miney mo
It 's off to Libya we will go..
International moral obligations can wait
Syrian protesters left to Iranian fate.
Obama's Doctrine is out to lunch
While civilians are shot down by the bunch.
Dipping a toe here, not there
Can you tell me what is fair?
Syria has no oil to squeeze this land
They are useless to him, let'em be damned.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
