Call. Ask the person answering for his or her name, and use their name during your call. Ask that he/she please add this call as a number to count as AGAINST the Health Care bill. If they ask if you are in their district - be honest - say, "No, I am an American citizen and this bill is not limited to the constituents in your district. This bill will effect every hardworking American." * Be courteous, but firm. Make sure they count your call, and last, thank them for accepting your call.
*NOTE from Shirley: I would add, "I can promise you that, even though Congressman _______ is outside my district, I will work for or against his/her re-election according to how he/she votes on this bill."

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
