Birthers and Dualers are Constitutionalists
Birthers and Dualers
are Constitutionalists

As I watched Anderson Cooper make a total idiot out of himself trying to get Lt. Colonel Lakin to confess he is a Birther, I wondered if Cooper even had a clue as to the meaning of a natural born citizen as the framers of the Constitution intended to to mean. As he berated the Lt. Colonel about assuming where General Cassey was born, I had to think about the Kerchner et al. vs. Obama et al that is currently under appeal at the US Third Circuit. I thought of this case because Attorney Mario Apuzzo makes the argument that under the 20th Amendment Congress is not constitutionally charged with assuming the natural born status of a potential president or vice president before they approve his assumption to office, they are charged with insuring the President elect and Vice President elect are qualified to assume office.

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
