Do you believe that candidates for President of the United States should obey the Constitution, and prove that they're eligible to run for the highest office in the land?

So do I. BUT... there's no law requiring that any candidate do that!

UNTIL NOW! We have a chance, during this session of Congress, to have a law passed that will require that any candidate for President to prove that he, or she, is Constitutionally eligible to run... by producing their actual birth certificate.

But this new bill won't go anywhere -- unless YOU demand that Congress pass it!

DEMAND THAT CONGRESS PASS THE BILL REQUIRING
CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENT TO SHOW THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE!

The U.S. Constitution states, in, Article II, Section 1: "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

That's pretty plain language. In order to qualify to serve as President of the United States, a person MUST be a natural-born citizen


Seems simple enough. If someone is running for President, and there's any question about whether he or she is qualified under Article II, Section 1, it would be easy enough to prove:

Just show your birth certificate.

You know: that simple document that lists your birth date, the hospital where you were born, the doctor that delivered you, your parents' names... your birth certificate.

When 7-year-olds want to play on a Little League baseball team, they have to prove their residency. When you or I want to get a driver's license, or travel outside of the U.S., or gain entrance to a school -- we all understand the simple rule: if you don't produce your birth certificate, you don't get in.

The same rule should apply to "getting in" to the White House, shouldn't it? If you want to be a candidate to serve as the Commander-In-Chief of the U.S. Armed forces, just show your birth certificate.

Of course, Barack Hussein Obama has refused to do that -- but that doesn't mean we can't force candidates in future elections to do so.

Congressman Bill Posey, a freshman Representative from Florida, has introduced a bill in the U.S. Congress that would require presidential candidates to provide a birth certificate and other documents to prove their eligibility to occupy the Oval Office.

His bill, H.R. 1503, is an amendment to the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, which increased required campaign fund disclosure and was later amended to establish the Federal Elections Commission. It's language is short and to the point:

"to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution."

It's as simple as that -- with this bill, we could prevent future "Barack Obamas" from running for President, unless they prove they are eligible!

Representative Posey explained why he introduced this bill: "I was pretty surprised to find out that to run for president, despite the constitutional requirement and the media scrubbing that goes on, it's not required for a candidate to file these documents when they submit their statement of candidacy with the FEC."

"But having been charged with reforming the elections in the State of Florida after the 2000 recounts and lawsuits, I thought I could offer a solution to this question on eligibility... if what some folks are worried about -- that presidential candidates don't have to submit to the same documentation that average folks have to submit to -- well, then we can change that for the next election."

This is just common sense -- but common sense is what is sorely lacking in Washington, D.C. these days. Why should there be two standards -- one for playing Little League baseball, and one for running for President of the United States?

Of course, Obama-maniacs insist that this is just an attack on their Messiah, Lord Obama. But it's not an attack on Barack Obama; it's just clarifying the issue for future elections! Once we pass this bill, we can be assured that future elections won't have this problem.

It IS true that, if it's passed, this amendment to election law would require Mr. Obama, just like any other candidate, to provide a birth certificate in any future presidential election. And THAT is what REALLY has the Democrats worried -- because they don't want Barack Obama to have to produce his actual birth certificate if he runs for re-election!

Remember that the same issue of eligibility dogged Senator John McCain, the Republican nominee for President in 2008 -- he was born in the Panama Canal Zone, so many of his opponents questioned whether he was a "natural born citizen" as the Constitution requires.

But guess what -- John McCain was willing to produce his actual birth certificate in the quest to prove his qualifications... something Barack Obama STILL refuses to do! In fact, the Democrats controlling the U.S. Congress went so far as to hold hearings on the question of John McCain's eligibility to run -- but they refused to hold hearings on whether Barack Obama was qualified!

We can STOP this nonsense NOW, for all future Presidential elections -- but ONLY if we can FORCE Congress to pass this bill!

The American people DESERVE TO KNOW that their President is Constitutionally qualified. A new scientific public opinion survey of a cross-section of Americans, conducted by WorldNet Daily and Wenzel Strategies, shows that when Americans were asked if they are aware of the questions raised about Obama's constitutional eligibility for office, 51.3 percent answered affirmatively, while only 18.7 percent said no. Americans are not only aware of questions about Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility for office; almost HALF are either "troubled" by the questions or believe he should release all relevant documents including his long-form birth certificate.

Keep in mind, Barack Obama hasn't just refused to release his actual birth certificate. Among the documentation not yet available for him includes his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.


None of this means that Barack Hussein Obama is not eligible to serve as President of the United States of America. The problem is -- we just don't know!

We CANNOT let this happen again -- EVER!

Thankfully, some Members of Congress are beginning to agree. Congressman Posey introduced the bill on June 12th; by June 16th, four Congressmen signed on as co-sponsors; and by last week, there were ten signers in all. Momentum is building to pass this bill -- but a LOT more pressure is needed to FORCE Congress to stop hiding from this issue, and to VOTE on it!

The bill is now stuck in the House Committee on House Administration -- and the only way to move it is for YOU AND I to make them move it!

The voters of the United States of America have the right to know whether candidates for President are "natural born citizens," as REQUIRED by the U.S. Constitution!

It's a question that SHOULD be answered, before the first primary vote takes place

Why? Because, if an unqualified person was elected to the Office of President of the United States, our entire form of government could be compromised!

How?

Simple -- if someone is elected who is not eligible to serve as President of the United States, each and every act that he or she takes as President will be null and void! That's right: each bill signed into law, every Executive Order issued, and each and every Cabinet and judicial nomination made will have no legal effect!

I don't make that statement lightly. It's not an exaggeration.

Article 2, Section 1, Clause 4 of the United States Constitution provides, in pertinent part, as follows: "No Person except a natural born Citizen... shall be eligible to the Office of President..."

But how can we know?

This isn't some unimportant "technicality" -- a requirement of the U. S. Constitution is not a mere "technicality"!

We have a chance right now -- TODAY -- to make sure that these questions don't come up again in four years, or eight years, or twelve years... or EVER. We can force candidates like Barack Hussein Obama -- or any others -- to prove their eligibility, by simply providing their actual birth certificate.

But we can only do this with YOUR help! Congress needs to be flooded with messages from all across America, INSISTING that every one of them co-sponsor this bill, and get it to the floor of the House for a full floor vote!

P.S. Barack Obama could simply put the issue of his OWN eligibility to rest by releasing his ACTUAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE. But he WON'T!
