Ahead 3 games to 1 against the Montreal Canadiens, the Washington Capitals, a team with the league's best regular season record and only 5 regulation home losses, collapsed like a cheap tent in their opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Capitals proceeded to lose their last 3 games of the series including two at home (3 losses of the four were on home ice)against Montreal.
The buzz around Washington is that Obama was offended by all the attention the Caps were getting and he couldn't stomach the thought that hockey was going to garner so much attention for the next six or seven weeks. It's believed that through back channels with Capitals management and the Canadian government AND Putin (remember Washington has some great Russian players) Obama was able to arrange a fix and history was made. No eighth seed had ever come back from being down 3 to 1 to defeat a No. 1 seed. Obama, the ONE, made hockey history and now the attention can be turned once again on our narcissistic, ego-maniac in the White House! Oh the power of international diplomacy!...Now you know the rest of the story!

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
