Birther Summit extends $15,000 offer to talking heads

Will Bill O’Reilly, George Stephanopoulos, Anderson Cooper or Chris Matthews take a bite at the truth for $15K?

WASHINGTON – After the Birther Summit’s challenge to Gen. Colin Powell was met with no response, organizers decided to extend the same challenge to some of America’s most popular talking heads: Bill O’Reilly, George Stephanopoulos, Anderson Cooper and Chris Matthews, offering $15,000 to the first one to accept its challenge, for either himself or his favorite charity.

Birther Summit Executive Director Dean Haskins explained how grand juries in criminal cases determine if there is enough evidence to convene a jury for determining a verdict.

Similarly, the Birther Summit is asking the first of these men who comes forward to examine the evidence and to make a public announcement as to whether there is enough proof to call for an official investigation.

As with its offer to Powell, the Birther Summit is not asking them to make a determination on the issue and is only requesting their “carefully considered opinion” stating they either find enough facts to warrant a full investigation into Obama’s eligibility, or successfully refute the actual evidence presented by experts.

Haskins told the four talking heads, “We would like to sit down with you and present evidence proving that what Barack Obama used to ‘blow away’ Donald Trump and the Birthers was not actually a valid birth certificate, but a forgery. We would also like to present evidence to you of other dubious information Mr. Obama has used to misrepresent himself and his eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States, including his use of a Social Security number that appears to have never been assigned to him, as well as a forged Selective Service registration form,” which appears to have been created two days after Obama discussed registering for the Selective Service in a televised interview with Stephanopoulos.

As Haskins proceeds with plans for the Birther Summit in March 2012, he says America and the world will ultimately find out the truth surrounding these facts, as the Birther Summit is committed to the relentless dissemination of those facts.

With this challenge, Haskins is offering an opportunity for these commentators to be remembered for having enough integrity to stand for the truth, which, until now, they have all “carelessly neglected.”

Believing journalists and public commentators have a duty to regard the truth more highly than their rating, Haskins said, because of the gravity of the matter, $5,000 per hour for little more than listening to the truth should be fair compensation for their time.

Haskins can only wonder if O’Reilly will be a “pinhead or patriot,” if Stephanopoulos loves the Birther issue enough to face the evidence, if Cooper will continue ridiculing after reviewing evidence that will not leave him giggling, or if Matthews can handle tingle-free evidence.
