A Phony Debt Compromise

August 2nd, 2011

There are no budget cuts deep or shallow in this cockamamie bill which no one has read through and examined, just as with the healthcare bill (as Pelosi said “we have to pass it to find out what is in it.”).
You may hear Democrats whine and complain about cuts but what it really means in terms of Washington speak is a “CUT” which more often than not means a decrease in the projected rate of increase. Somehow the cuts never seem to materialize do they?
They always seem to backload the cuts to the far end of the time frame, hoping that we stupid rubes will somehow forget them with time.
The Congressional Budget Office’s newest numbers show that the government is projected to spend right at $46 Trillion dollars over the next 10 years, so the pie in the sky idea that the Jakals in Clowntown D.C. would have us buy into, is that somehow a paltry $3 billion dollars in cuts over that same 10 year period will fix the problem, is beyond ludicrous.
Obama, Reid and Schumer have just been handed a $2 Trillion dollar extension on their credit card (all of which will be spent quickly and then they will be back asking for more, and in the meantime, they don’t have to waste time on this problem anymore until AFTER the election. The Con-man has conned us again.
“O” should change his name to Henry Gondorf (The Sting!)
If anyone reading this is old enough to remember, we have as a nation defaulted three times though it wasn’t called a default.
Roosevelt took us off the gold standard and devalued gold down to $25.00 an ounce then, after confiscating the gold, he turned around and sold it at $35.00 an ounce but in the process, the folks on the short end of the stick lost 40% of their net worth and it wasn’t called a tax either.
We also defaulted under Lyndon Johnson during the Viet Nam war, and then again under Richard Nixon.
Washington has been using and abusing us for decades and we didn’t even get a kiss in the process.
The two biggest culprits responsible for the housing and financial industry implosion are Barney Frank and Chris Dodd whose Dodd/Frank Finance bill brought down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
My question is: Why aren’t these two crooks in Jail or at least being prosecuted?
Let us take a quick look at some of the White House recent wasteful spending that the Lame Stream Media hasn’t bothered to tell you about.
