Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel will propose shrinking the U.S. military to its smallest size since before World War II, The New York Times reported. The plan would leave the armed forces too small for long foreign occupations. If U.S. forces were asked to carry out two large-scale military actions at the same time, they would take more casualties and need far more time to win such a conflict. [Full Story]
