From A Give Us Liberty Reader Who Is Instrumental In The Arizona Move For Presidential Eligibility Law
...........New World Net Daily Article Below Makes Reference In 3rd Paragraph To Arizona "Just Miss" Last Year On Presidential Eligibility Legislation. Arizona's chances of getting it done in the coming legislative session (Jan-April 2011) look even considerably better this year (Judy Burges will again be sponsoring it). Some of the reasons for the optimism include: 1) although it is not really just a partisan issue, the number of Republicans in the Az. House is up from 34 last year to 40 this year out of a total of 60 and 2) the number of Republicans in the Az Senate is up from 18 last year to 21 this year out of at total of 30. And Russell Pearce (author of SB 1070) is the new Senate President. More information to come next week after a scheduled meeting with Secretary of State Ken Bennett (who would be the one under the new law to require the proof that a Presidential candidate qualifies as to age, residency, and natural born citizenship) which is designed to get his active support for the new bill. He was "neutral" on the bill last year. PS. Forward this to everyone in Arizona you know who you anticipate will be supportive of this legislation ! Thanks. AND PLEASE KEEP LT. COL TERRY LAKIN IN YOUR PRAYERS

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
