Powell to GOP: Denounce 'birther nonsense'

Slams 'idiot presentations' that 'demonize' Obama

(ABC NEWS) In an interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos during ABC’s special inauguration day coverage this morning, former Secretary of State Colin Powell lashed out at people in the Republican Party who spent the last four years spreading “birther nonsense” and other “things that demonize the president,” calling on GOP leaders to denounce such talk — publicly.
“Republicans have to stop buying into things that demonize the president. I mean, why aren’t Republican leaders shouting out about all this birther nonsense and all these other things? They should speak out. This is the kind of intolerance that I’ve been talking about where these idiot presentations continue to be made and you don’t see the senior leadership of the party say, ‘No, that’s wrong.’ In fact, sometimes by not speaking out, they’re encouraging it. And the base keeps buying the stuff.
“And it’s killing the base of the party. I mean, 26 percent favorability rating for the party right now. It ought to be telling them something. So, instead of attacking me or whoever speaks like I do, look in the mirror and realize, ‘How are we going to win the next election?”

  1. I think you should up the cash offer to him, to look at the forgery evidence. Nothing was more "CLUELESS" than that plan.

  2. Sheriff Joe Arpaio conducted an official law enforcement investigation of Obama. Many experts and documents were involved. Sheriff Joe then gave several press conferences. According to Colin Powell, those were "idiot presentations." Sheriff Joe stated in an official affidavit, “Upon close examination of the evidence, it is my belief that forgery and fraud was likely committed in key identity documents including President Obama’s long-form birth certificate, his Selective Service Registration card, and his Social Security number.” Sheriff Joe said, “there is no other credible proof supporting the idea or belief that this President was born in Hawaii, or in the United States for that matter." Colin Powell says this is birther nonsense.

There are videos of Senator Obama saying he is proud to come back home to Kenya, and Mrs. Obama saying that her husband is a Kenyan. And then there is Obama's official bio that he used for 16 years that stated that he was "born in Kenya." Colin Powell thinks those are "idiot presentations."

Colin Powell has not provided one iota of evidence that Obama is anything other than a Kenyan usurper. Powell is just using ridicule as called for in Obama's "Rules for Radicals." No, the real idiot presentation is Colin Powell himself going on national disinformation TV and saying that the Republicans haven't demonized the birthers enough. Colin Powell didn't take an oath to obey the POTUS. He took an oath that "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same..." Powell needs to look in the mirror and think about the consequences of violating that oath. Given that the judges in this country no longer follow the Constitution, Powell may never have his day in court. But when Powell crosses over to the other side, he can explain to the Founding Fathers (and all those who fought and died to create this country) why he sold out the Constitution for a Marxist Kenyan usurper.
